Dyson 360 Vis Nav

The Dyson 360 Vis Nav robot vacuum represents a breakthrough in automated home cleaning, delivering unmatched suction power and intelligent navigation in a sleek, compact design. Engineered with a powerful Dyson Hyperdymium motor, it spins at up to 110,000 rpm, producing 65 Air Watts of suction—six times more than any other robot vacuum. Its full-width brush bar and triple-action cleaning system tackle debris across all floor types, while an extending side duct captures dust right up to the wall, ensuring a thorough clean from edge to edge. Equipped with 26 sensors and a 360-degree vision system, the robot intelligently maps and analyses your home, avoiding obstacles and efficiently navigating tight spaces. The D-shaped body and low profile enable it to clean deep into corners and under furniture with ease. With four power modes—Boost, Auto, Quiet, and Quick—it adapts to your specific cleaning needs. The MyDyson app unlocks customisation and control, allowing users to schedule cleans, set no-go zones, and prioritise dust-prone areas. Real-time updates and deep-clean reports offer transparency and precision. Whole-machine HEPA filtration traps 99.99% of microscopic particles, ideal for allergy sufferers. Plus, the hygienic, one-touch bin emptying system and generous dust bin capacity reduce maintenance time and keep your hands clean. With smart features, powerful performance, and seamless app integration, the Dyson 360 Vis Nav redefines what a robot vacuum can do—cleaning faster, smarter, and deeper than ever before.

Amazing little machine and Cute too!

The Dyson 360 Vis Nav is a cute little powerhouse machine, I have the V-15 Detect and can say that the Vis Nav does just as well at cleaning if not better. It goes onto throw rugs (so long as they are rubber or held down) with ease, detects edges like stairs, or sunken living rooms with ease and can get under furniture with ease. I have this scheduled to run every day and haven't had to use my V-15 for my upstairs since I got it. The battery life is only about 35 min with my combo of hard floors and rugs but if it doesn't finish the clean before the battery runs out, it goes to the dock to charge and then finishes the clean all on it's own. I wish it was a little longer but so far it's been great for my upstairs (about 800 square feet). It does sometimes get stuck going to my throw rugs that aren't as secure to the floor but the app notifies you quickly and you can just go redirect. You can also set up a map in the app to avoid areas you don't want it to go. All in all super easy to use and again incredibly powerful. It isn't as quiet as the competitors BUT the cleaning is so superior that it makes up for it. It's not so loud that you can't like watch TV but you may have to click it up a notch or two on the volume.Lastly emptying the canister is super easy as well, it's just that silver round part on top, you pull it out and dump it! It also holds a LOT. I have 2 dogs, one is a German Sheppard, Husky, Pit mix that sheds a ton, plus a long haired cat so lots of dirt of hair! It collects it all without needing to be emptied. I do however empty it once per day (but may not need to).All in all I highly recommend - we have named her and added her as a member of the family! :)

The bad is the machine wasn't able to vacuum everything such as the floor next to the baseboards and also missed areas of the house. To me the best time to run the vacuum was when nobody was home as it takes awhile to complete a full cycle. Our home is 1,400 SF and the battery would only last long enough to vacuum half. Then it would have to charge for a couple hours before completing. This is tough to schedule around when you have a busy family including pets. Overall this might be best suited for someone who is single or a couple that can control the environment to let the machine do it's thing for a couple hours. For those that have an active family and/or large home this might not be solution.

Great features!
3 March 2024

I love the features that include step by step instructions on pretty much every thing with this vacuum. If it gives you a code, you will have step by step instructions on how to fix on top of the machine itself or the more convenient way; on the app. We have 6 dogs and I love the suction or getting up the dog hair and dirt that 6 dogs and a family can track in on a daily basis. I use mine at least once, if not twice a day. The only issue I really had that is a bit aggravating was the drop sensors. It keeps throwing a code of drop sensors obscured. Meaning I take a microfiber cloth and gently flip it over and wipe off the sensors on the bottom and then flip it and do it on the top. I do have to do this at least a couple times throughout the cleaning cycle. It does ... MoreI love the features that include step by step instructions on pretty much every thing with this vacuum. I do start out every cleaning cycle by emptying and wiping out the dust bin and checking the airways for clogged hair and wiping off drop sensors. Again, I have 6 dogs and we have half vinyl flooring and half carpet so it definitely gets a run for its money. Like I mentioned earlier, if there is an issue you will automatically be notified on the app on your phone, which I highly recommend getting. It will give you step by step instructions of what to do to get your vacuum up and cleaning again. Also, I do run mine on the quiet mode as it is way more quiet and I seem to get more cleaning time on that setting. I really do love the cleaning it provides and all its handy features-very step by step and I really do love that!

Great vacuum but needs work

You don't necessarily need the app, but in my opinion I highly recommend using the app. There are some pros and cons about the Dyson 360 Vis NAV.The Good: This is no ordinary robot vacuum. It has a touch panel on top to complete the set up process, it has an ultra wide lens that allows the vacuum to map out the house where it will clean and navigate around obstacles that it can't reach and store that information to help the robot to clean efficiently. It has a large brush to clean more surface area and it is easy to remove for cleaning. The Vis Nav has a very powerful motor which produces great suction power but that comes at a cost, I will get to that later. The Vis Nav will clean just about every corner of your house. The HEPA filter system is incredible and collects the smallest of dust particles. It is washable and that is a plus. The canister is easy to remove and empty. The Vis Nav has a little brush on one side that automatically pops out when the vacuum is next to a wall to sweep dust out to get vacuumed up by to large brush bar. I found this a nice feature that was able to get into the little nooks and crannies. The Vis Nav automatically increases its suction power when it picks up more dust or when it transition from hardwood floors to carpet which makes this vacuum such a wonderful tool. It glides easily from one surface type to another. It was tested on hardwood, tile and carpet without any issues. It has an LED that lights up when it goes into dark areas which is pretty cool. The vacuum has 4 cleaning setting auto, quick, quiet, and boost with each having it's own advantage and disadvantage. The App: I wish the app had more features to control the robot such as cancel cleaning, return to home, or give a battery percentage. The app is very simple and only allows you to select the type of cleaning job you desire the robot to perform. The app gives you visual feedback of the robot activity and shows the cleaning job, you can create restriction areas that you don't want the robot to go where it might get stuck or where it can't reach. If the vacuum gets stuck or needs assistance you will get an alert on the app and on the screen along with troubleshooting tips on on how to fix the problem which I found super awesome and helpful. You can also connect the Vis Nav to amazon Alexa or Google home but I found there are only 3 allowable commands with Alexa. The bad: The biggest downside I found when using this vacuum is the battery power and I hope Dyson will send out an update to help with that. Remember earlier I said the suction power comes at a cost and that cost is battery life. Each mode gives a certain time limit on a full batter charge and when the batter dies the robot will try to find it;s home base and charge for about 1.5hr - 2hrs before resume cleaning. I tested each mode and the most efficient one is the auto mode. The app says it will give about 40 min on a full charge and that is about correct before it dies. The least favorite is the boost which gives about 11 minutes only because it is using all its' power to clean and the battery drains at an exponential rate which sucks because now it will take forever to complete the cleaning job depending on the size of your cleaning areas. My other biggest issue was the robot trying to find it's charging station. After the robot completed a cleaning job it took a very long time to find home base which can be very frustrating and painful to watch. My daughter thought it was very funny but I found it very aggravating. I timed how long it took and it was over 8 mins of the robot circling in front the dock and going all over the place before finally connecting. The only other downside is that it can be a bit loud. When switching from one mode to another, it tends to get louder. It does compete with low setting volume TV but not too distracting. My overall experience is that this is a great vacuum, it does an excellent job cleaning, it is easy to troubleshoot if there is a problem and just an overall great machine, in line with Dyson products. There are a few options I hope Dyson will fix or update like adding a battery percentage, better overall battery life with the suction power, and more precise way to find it's dock for charging.

Picking up the chore of vacuuming!

In fact, just having it makes you mindful to be a bit tidier and organised to get the benefit of effortless cleaning! After initially plugging in the 360 Vis Nav to ensure a full charge- which took minutes rather than hours, I was able to download and set it up via the iPhone app without any hassles, and soon had it on its maiden run.The first run was slightly delayed by an initial software update- but again, only minutes and not hours- the update was automatic, so I didn't have to think about it or do anything special.I was pleased with the result- we have two cats, so it got to work sucking up fur and flecks of cat litter whilst I did nothing but watch! One of may cats is very fluffy and she generates quite a bit of vacuum fodder single paw-dedly! Because the cylinder is small, the initial collections would mat with fur in the cylinder, but after more regular cleans, the pick up is more efficient in gathering more balanced mix of dust and fur.My cats do not like the sound of my V11, and unsurprisingly they were similar with the 360 Vis Nav when the suction kicks-in, but in quiet mode they seemed less bothered and now even watch or follow it around.Obviously the overall pick-up is lighter than you would get with a full size vacuum- but I am confident that regular use of the 360 Vis Nav on my carpets will achieve fully acceptable results with a daily sweep though the house, with deeper manual cleans required less frequently. Already, I am coming home from work and seeing a floor that looks clean and it isn't my first compulsion to get vacuuming before I do anything else.I have so far operated the device via the app- direct starts, and scheduled time starts, via the controls on the unit itself, via Alexa voice control (again linked to my Alexa app swiftly and easily), and remotely via the app whilst at work some 20 miles away- all have been easy to do and very intuitive. You really do not need much by way of an instruction manual.Overall, the 360 Vis Nav is a great product to take the bulk of the vacuuming burden off of your hands- but you may still need another vacuum in the cupboard for stairs, cars, and deeper cleans. However, If you are fortunate to live with limited clutter and good space under shelves and sofas etc... this device may be all you need; I would think it well suited, if not ideal, on hard floors and flats on a single storey, step-free floor plate. If you do have pets, be mindful of how they might react if they are very sensitive, and the sort of mess that might make- you may need to do a visual sweep of the floors before manually starting the device (rather than relying on unsupervised cleans)- wet food, hairballs, or other "deposits" may not be very compatible with this product!!! Although you can create no-clean zones, you can't necessarily rely on your pets to know not to make mess outside of them.I am very pleased to have the 360 Vis Nav and look forward to optimising other areas of my house to give it maximum access to clean whilst I can get on with something else. The build quality is exactly what I've come to expect from Dyson having bought several products over the years- it feels solid, and sturdy, and I fully expect years of trouble free use, just remembering to cary out the basic checks and maintenance on the filter, and the brush roller (which ejects nicely to remove any long hairs/ fibres).NB. I would love to have added more photos/ videos of the 360 Vis Nav in use, but house-barrasment and heavily dated decor prevent me from exposing myself to public shame!

Powerful and Intelligent!

The Dyson 360 Vis Nav robotic vacuum has been a wonderful addition to my household. It took a little time for me to set it up, but once it had mapped my home, it was easy to draw boundaries on the app and to mark areas I wanted it to avoid. I have it set to vacuum the downstairs 3 times a week while I am sleeping. Since I am sleeping, if it needs assistance, I do not see it till morning, but if I ran it when I was awake, the app would notify me immediately if the machine was stuck. That really only happened in the beginning though. When it got stuck, I used the app to have it avoid that area in the future. For instance, on its first clean, it when clear under my stove and then could not get back out, so the next time, I drew a box that allowed the machine to go ... MoreThe Dyson 360 Vis Nav robotic vacuum has been a wonderful addition to my household. Much easier than using a laser to define boundaries. The Dyson is a little trooper. I am amazed how well it cleans. Even while cleaning 3 times a week, it still manages to fill up its reservoir each time. I had no idea we accumulated that much dirt and dust in just a couple of days! My favorite part is reviewing the vacuum's cleaning progress the next morning. It shows me everywhere it went and highlights the places that had the most debris vacuumed up. It is very satisfying seeing all the nooks and crannies it manages to clean, and I love how my floors are always ready for company.

Robotic vacuum

I have used the vacuum for a little over 2 weeks now. I have a three story home with carpet, hard wood and tile floors and three dogs. The vacuum has great suction. It cleaned all floor types well. It easily went over fluffy area rugs in my bathroom, as well as ruggable rugs. The dust bin is a good size, holding all debris from each level. The instructions that come with the vacuum online are easy to understand. Once you have your house areas mapped, you can set the type of clean you would like, and when to clean. I found it helpful to remotely start cleaning while I was out of the home. This can be a game changer for those families who have to work away from home. The biggest downfall for me was that the battery life was not the same as my other Dyson. My other Dyson can vacuum three floors on one charge, while the VisNav required multiple trips to charger before the cleaning was complete. The dock has to be moved from one level to another with the vacuum, in order to complete entire home. For people who have multiple levels in their home, they may consider purchasing an additional dock, so only vacuum needs to be moved. I vacuum daily, and have enjoyed letting this robot do the work for me!

Rushed and failed Implementation from Dyson

I bought the robot vacuum assuming it will be awesome like all other dyson products. And i do have a lot of them. Also i waited till there is some research and updates but this one fails the expectation. Before reviewing i did try the contacting support - didn't help, the stupid AI chatbot giving standard responses didnt help, i did try then though based on my trust with dyson products. The manual support isnt very help either, but uts not their fault, there is a gap in the integration bwtween the software and product and there are dismal options directly on the screen of the device itself so even if pairing with app is not working at least the product can run based in the mapped areas but no, theres no option on the screen. The British engineering is failing this product miserably. The product disconnects from the app, reconnecting, re-registering is a pain, still very patiently i am trying this for more than a week every day. No success. I can just run Auto directly from the robot but there is no selection of area, and was that the purpose for this 1000+ dollar AI robot device? I cannot map any further, i am sure if i reregister i have to remap, i am unable to select areas for cleanup, the machine gets stuck by itself and go to sleep or discharged until you move it. I can understand the AI learning mechanism but this product is a failed or rushed implementation from Dyson. I have many friends waiting for my review so they can purchase, i cannot lie to them but just hope that dyson does something about this product and do not ignore improvements while they get busy with other products customization and selling.

great robo vacuum...but...

This is another quality Dyson product. What is good: It runs well, for about 1/2 hour when placed on the automatic setting. I have hardwood floors, and it picks up dust and dirt effectively. In other words, it gets the job done. What could be improved, in my opinion.1. Please provide an instruction manual. Mine did not come with one. I attempted to set up using the touchscreen display, and that was a mistake. The first thing it asks is for you to select a language. The first choice displayed on my screen looked like the attached photo, except the language indicated at the top was German. I did not want German, so I pressed on the red x and "no" selection. That was another mistake. The first choice displayed on my screen looked like the attached photo, except the language indicated at the top was German. I did not want German, so I pressed on the red x and "no" selection. That was another mistake. If you want to select no, what you have to do is swipe the screen so that the "no" and the red x are situated between the two white lines. So when I hit "no" what it actually did is select "yes", because the "yes" option was situated between the two white lines, so what I did was set the language to German. This caused delay and frustration as I had to search online for how to change the language. I tried by navigating the touch screen, but all the words were in German, so it was of no help.2. Please provide an instruction manual. The charging dock comes with only a few picture icons printed on it. I was able to put it together, but I always prefer to read directions so I can set up things correctly and not to damage the product.3. Please provide an owners manual. I tried to empty the dust bin, and was able to remove it from the vacuum, but could not figure out how to open it up in order to dump the dust out. I tried gentle prying, unscrewing, pushing small buttons. but nothing worked. I had to make another online search. It turns out there is a red lever on the handle, that you slide with your thumb. This is actually quite effective, as you can slide the lever while holding the handle, and there is a spring like motion that opens the door and gives a little jolt, so the the dust will be shaken out and into the trash. All that is on that opening lever is an arrow and a schematic drawing of a lot of specks, which in retrospect indicates "slide this arrow to empty the dust particles". But I would prefer a clear instruction manual to solving picture schematics. I attached another picture of the handle. Also, there is no warning about the spring like opening of the door, so that if I would have pushed the lever to open and I wasn't holding it over the trash, all the dust would spill out in the house.4. My previous robo vacuum returned to the charging station by itself when the battery was low, which I prefer. This Dyson model returns to the place where it was when you pushed the start button. Perhaps there is a way to program it so that it will return to the charging station by itself, but I don't have instructions and have not had time to research yet.5. It would be nice if it were a bit smaller. It is too big to fit between my dining room chairs, so it will never vacuum under my dining table unless I move the chairs.6. I ran it in my bedroom, and the floor looked clean. But out of curiosity I pulled out my Dyson V15 detect stick vacuum. The comparison is a bit unfair, since the stick vacuum has a laser light to help you see dust and dirt particles. The Dyson stick vacuum was able to find a little bit of dust that was left behind. So overall, I can recommend this product. If I am being compulsive and doing a deep clean, I feel my Dyson stick vacuum would do a better job. But that requires me to physically vacuum. For convenience and everyday/light cleaning, I think the 360 Vis Nav does a good job.It has the advantage of not having to run the vacuum yourself, saves time, and is even better than the stick at getting under beds. One day I will have to research online on how to use all the controls and options such as the differences between the auto, quick, quiet and boost functions. There could be other great qualities with the Vis Nav that I have not yet discovered. (Again, an owners manual with instructions would be helpful, in my opinion)
