We weren't sure about purchasing yet another fan to try - but we're thrilled we did (so much so that we bought another). This works perfectly for us. Our upstairs gets so hot in summer - by using two of these fans (from front to back of the house), open windows (closed before sleeping due to traffic) and closing curtains to block heat, we've actually created a fabulously aired and cooled upstairs - for the first time in 17 years. The fan is quiet enough on the lowest setting to keep on overnight and the timer function works a treat. 5 stars from us.We were under no illusion that this fan would cool like air con - because after all, it's a fan. But, it is a very good fan and circulates air well.

However note that in high speed, there is sound coming out.The wind is not dispersed but focused on the fan head direction. You’ll fell better around the area if you turn on the oscillation.I also note the fan worked better in air conditioning area. The wind felt more cold if air condition is on. This is as compared to other brand tower fan i use before.

Pros: Lovely design. Portable. Lightweight. Quick delivery. I put it on 6 or 7 until I am cooled down then turn it down to 2 or 3 to maintain. It's super quiet. On 3 at night I don't hear it at all. Constant stream - of air and noise level even at high speed. Not like oscillating fans that produce an uneven sou d which can disrupt sleep.Cons: Price is a bit high however it is a great buy. Could do with a longer cord.

Best fan ever ! Life saver for my dogs this year

I was lucky enough to buy this one week before the big heat wave of 2022. Even on the lowest setting which is virtually silent, it creates a beautifully gentle movement of air in the room which replicates a natural breeze. At higher settings the air movement becomes stronger and really does cover the whole room when it oscillate but it doesn’t “pummel” you as it goes round in the same way a traditional Fan would it just wafts the whole room. Needless to say when my dogs come in from a walk the first thing they do is to go and sit in the middle of the room waiting for me to switch on the Dyson fan. Both myself and the dogs are absolutely over the moon and would 100% recommend this to anyone. Better compared to similar size tower fans

So I had a tower fan already, and did a side-by-side when I got this one. I can definitively say they both produce the same volume of noise at similar settings (I'd hate to meet the louder version before this one), though the pitch of that noise is higher now relative to the one it's replacing, if that detail matters. I can also say that compared to the one it's replacing, the volume of air that's being moved around is also identical. But what's really different, beyond having more speed settings to fine-tune, or a timer that's in smaller increments, is that the air moves out in more of a fan-shape rather than something like a strict slice of moving air that has to be positioned just so or you'll miss it. It is sooooooo worth it

I hate noise when I’m sleeping. Any fan I have owned needs to be quiet and work without problems.. as well all know, eventually fans start making noise or getting worn out. BUT. Not the dyson fan. I bought mine in April 2020 and I have it on probably 24/7 360 days a year. It has never once given me troubles. It is soooo quiet. Dependable. Honestly , it’s probably one of the best purchases I’ve made. Sometimes I wonder how it can just keep going and going with no problems. Definitely recommend one of these fans .

No surprises

Each year another heatwave and another Dyson fan purchase. Over the last few years I have bought three AM06 desk fans. Tired of carrying them from room to room last year I went to buy a fourth but found the circular design AM06 had been discontinued. Now only the taller and (in my opinion) rather odd looking AM07 was available to kind of replace it, but not really. Frustrated and not wanting to buy a product that was considerably more expensive and in my opinion less attractive and less practical due to its height I made do with the 3 fans I already had. This year I gave in to the heat and bought the AM07. It arrived quickly and was exactly as I expected. I'm trying to understand why the AM06 has been discontinued along with all circular models and I can only imaging that it has been calculated that perhaps a combination of the less efficient packaging size and lower retail price made it less profitable. Maybe also it was considered that if it was no longer available customers would just buy the larger more expensive models. Dyson products are in my opinion a bit overpriced for their choice of construction materials and build quality. However their unique functional design and engineering aspects make them the best in category on a number of counts. For this reason I have just knowingly bought a fan that I didn't really want but I had no better option from Dyson or other manufacturers. I am proof that in discontinuing the AM06 they can still make a sale, but I certainly won't be buying another one and if the 06 was still available I'd probably buy one for every room. Therefore my review for the AM07 as the best fan that Dyson offer to full fill the needs of someone wanting an AM06 I give it 3 stars as it not great value for money, its too tall and its a bit funny lookin. If you want an AM07 and like the look of it and are familiar with Dyson products then I'm sure you will be content with one.

Dont buy top of the range items If your bank balance can’t justify the price.Personal opinion on this item, this is almost silent on speed 1, the noise escalates significantly each time you increase the level <5 are good for noise, higher it becomes pretty loud, nothing abnormal for a tower fan. The fans performance is great, however that depends on your expectations when paying this price for a fan. The LED that shows the speed of airflow does act like a nightlight, I however prefer this and don’t think its an issue, but if darkness is your thing at night, buy an eye mask, or cover the LED. assembly of the desk is extremely easy, comes in 3 parts, click them in place, reverse these steps to clean the fan inside.
