So, "first world problem," but it is very convenient when in the past I've had vacuums I could do the whole floor from one plug.The wand is super easy to maneuver on the floor or in dusting mode. Its easy to change out the accessories.Overall I would highly recommend this vacuum for anyone with hard floors who doesn't want to spend an arm and a leg.

I've owned a Dyson canister vacuum for nearly 20 years--the best ever. Unfortunately, this is a terrible replacement for the old one. It does have powerful suction (this not necessarily a good thing.) Unfortunately, the narrower non-motorized head does not work well on low pile carpet. It doesn't work at all on throw rugs--it just sucks the rugs up, not the dirt. The suction is also too powerful on linoleum and actually lifts the flooring. In order to use the vacuum on laminate or other hard floors, you must pull on a trigger the entire time or else the dirt simply blows around the floor. It is very tiring if you have more than one room to vacuum. I bought this one and used over 6 months. However, QR wand handle with part number: (967373-01) does not function anymore. It got disconnected. I contacted Dyson support through Walmart. They said it's under warranty and they will replace the part but they never shipped me the item. I have been trying to get the part last 3 months but no progress. When i connected to Walmart support they said they can't do anything about it because it exceeded 90 day period.If you will by any Dyson products, don't trust the warranty. You are on your own.

I'm leaving this review after 5 1/2 years of owning this canister vacuum. I have hardwood floors and cats so I immediately bought the articulating hard floor device to use. Between their hair and litter, this vacuum is a lifesaver. I use it every day, empty it when full, and bought an extra filter to swap out in between washings. The suction on this is great and not having to buy bags or filters is a major plus. However, today it didn't turn on. I tried other outlets and it is dead. Just like that. Since my warranty of 5 years expired, and I already have all the attachments, I decided to repurchase the same vacuum because for me this is a no-brainer. I just hope this next one lasts longer because this little baby isn't cheap.

I’ve gone through 2 dustbins in 18 months, and this is just my spare vacuum!!! I use a v11 as my main unit! I was impressed until I wasn’t, I was then informed by the representative that unfortunately the unit is also out of stock and they had placed me on a waitlist that entails me receiving an email, and then after I get said email, I am responsible to initiate a call back to Dyson to request the replacement… there was also no timeline able to be given… I was rather speechless… so much for a 5 year warranty on corded machines… thanks for the major let down Dyson after being such a loyal and devoted customer that praised you to anyone that would listen.
We have a few Dyson's and I totally back the other models we have. Wife says she loves the BBMF but makes me use it. I struggle with this machine. I will look inward and say it could be me but this is not user friendly - for me. The Cord, the ball, suction is actually too great for rugs, the tube and the bend at the handle, I have old hands. I still have to bend over using this machine. I spend just as much time wrestling as I do vacuuming. I can go downstairs and get my upright animal Dyson, use it and return it downstairs quicker than I can use the BBMF. I would suggest this to the peeps but only to ones with wide open spaces with hard floors and not carpet. For those that don't know. The suction is so great that sometimes it wont move on carpet. I am not a vacuum officianado. I decided to switch to Dyson from Miele brand, which I was mostly happy with but found too heavy/loud. This vaccum is definitely lighter, but there are some negatives. It is awkward on tight carpeted stairs. If you use the rotating brush, the ball gets in the way. If you use the stair attachment, it doesn't slide on the carpet. I'm not a fan of doing the stairs.I also find the canister gets easily stuck around corners and on the wire for the plug itself, not a massive annoyance but for top dollar you kind of want everything to be great.The suction itself, and I hate to admit it since I spent so much, is meh. That specific currier company was a great choice as the driver knocked on the front door and literally handed the vacuum to me without any damage.Upon opening the box, I found that all pieces, including the canister, were nestled securely. Not one bit of damage or scratching were there.The assembling of our Dyson was very easy for me as I have owned two different previous Dyson vacuums and therefore understood what had to go where. The biggest surprise for me was the powerful suction that my vacuum has. We have mostly hardwood floors, with a couple of medium sized area rugs. I used the floor attachment and wonderfully, it sucked up dust and dirt from about two inches away, even from both sides. That made cleaning those floors a dream. You would think that the machine would come with an electrical carpet beater. One of those is not needed with this vacuum. There is a turbo brush, powered by suction, that is very powerful enough to to get low and medium piled carpets deep cleaned. I went over an area that had just previously been cleaned with our V11 stick vacuum. I was blown away by the amount of dirt that showed up in the bin.There is a lot more that can be positively said about the Dyson Big Ball Cinetic Allergy+ Vacuum, however, not for the time being.If you are looking for a vacuum that will honestly clean your floors and low/medium carpets, that comes with enough attachments to enable you to clean everywhere, and know that you can have close to an allergy free home, then this vacuum is for you!

Decided to purchase a new Dyson after the turbine head on my old unit became faulty and I was unable to purchase a replacement part. I was super excited about my new Dyson. Suction is still top notch, but the differences in functionality and ergonomics between the old and new are a big deal to me and so I’m NOT such a huge fan anymore.Firstly and most important the hose on the new unit is approx. 2ft shorter than the old so I am constantly pulling the big ball around.....and when dusting corners of ceiling or window/door frames the short hose causes the unit lift right off the ground, even with the wand and dust tool fully extended. I have noticed I've been pushing cat kibble along the floor before I finally lift the head and place it on top so the kibble gets sucked it up.Third - the articulating handle makes any kind of dusting awkward, especially if you are dusting above waist height. The machine comes with all these wonderful tools, but the awkward handle and hose doesn't always make them easy to use.Lastly, the new unit does not fold/compact/wrap for easy storage anymore, so I've had to find a new place to store the unit. The new unit needs to be taken apart to fit in the same storage area as my old unit. If you don’t want to take it apart after every use, a tall space or spare closet for it is needed.This new Big Ball Allergy+ is not as easy or convenient to use as I feel like I am constantly changing tools to achieve the same clean I used to get.I noticed the difference right away, but decided to give it a chance....use it more and it will probably grow on me. But truthfully, the more I used it the more frustrated I became.Change is a good thing….but IMO, not in this case.If you purchase and don't like the differences, return right away. Don't try to let it grow on you as I did, because the return window goes by quickly :-(
