I have a 6 year old german shepard. His hair is caught between the movement and the suction part of the vac. It works pretty well but could def be better. I use this not on my dyson animal vac, but attached to my shop vac. It can fill a 5 gallon bucket worth of hair in one pass! it is worth every cent, but certainly could use a few tweaks to make it perfect. I would recommend this product to anyone that has a large breed dog that seasonally sheds.

I have a Samoyd who today is 1 year old. The last 2 months have been a nightmare with hair. Hair everywhere, enough so I have to vacum nearly everyday and we still have hair. We have a Dyson DC14 we leave upstairs and a new Cinetic Big Ball for the main floor and basement. I saw the video on this tool and had to give it a try. It came today so immediately gave it a shot. Earlier I had combed my dog which removed hand fulls of hair, so I attached the groomer tool to the big ball and went to work. Fantastic, is the best way to say it. When I comb her, there is hair everywhere and I have to vacum. With this tool there are no wads of hair to deal with and no vacuming.. I highly recommend this attachment to anyone with a long haired dog who doesn't mind a vacum.

Works well if you dog is comfortable with the sound of a vacuum near them. Ordered the groom tool but it didn’t fit so suggest you order the grooming kit as it has hose and correct connectors. We have Dyson V10 model. Dyson were good and sent the correct connector to me so I can now use it. My dog had a vet procedure that needed sedation the day we tried it. She doesn’t like the vacuum noise but it does work well as a Labrador she sheds hair a lot.

Bought this for my long hair, and medium haired dogs.pros: the suction works perfectly, when you release the trigger with the vacuum on, the hair instantly disappears, nothing is left on the bristles.Cons: you have to keep your thumb down on the leaver the whole time while brushing, otherwise the bristles disappear and you cant brush the dog.difficult to manuver the hose and the barrel when brushing the dog, while having to hold the leaver down :(
.....it might not suit everybody. It can be a tad awkward to use and if you have a nervous dog like ours, you might need an extra pair of hands to to the job. It does what Dyson claims and you'll be amazed how much fur it extracts from your dog and straight into the vacuum cleaner. A word of warning, our dog isn't keen on anything noisy including the vacuum cleaner, so be careful not to stress your dog.
I have an older Dyson vacuum and the attachment is hard to use on the hose since the hose is rigid at the end where the attachments goes. If it was just the flexible hose, it would work well. I might have to find a long flexible hose attachment for it to work better. I do like that it sucks the hair into the canister so it makes less of a mess. My dog does not like it too much since it is attached to a scary vacuum but she is getting use to it.
Not JB hi-fis fault - but if you buy this Dyson product it also needs an extension hose (mini). Strangely Dyson sells them together as one product, but this particular product is sold individually so misleading as it doesn’t indicate you need another part for it to work!
Not worth the investment for French bulldogs. Tired to use a few times after a bath and blow dry but doesn’t seem to pick up the loose hairs
Love this tool, would not know what to do without it, my dog is a husky breed and moulds so badly, but she absolutely loves being hooverdFantastic investment worth every penny 👍
We just received this tool today in the mail, we honestly couldn't Waite and it came 2 days early .... we have two German Shepherd's a.k.a. German shedders... LolThis tool is amazing!!!!!! I have purchased many a brush and nothing can compare to this grooming tool !!!! also my shepherds did not seem to mind the grooming it's self at all at first they may have been a little apprehensive but I let them smell it and then they laid back and enjoyed their groom ... very comforting as a dog mom .... it even removes and sucks up the dander !!!! I highly recommend this tool to any home with a pet that sheds .....
