Dyson Purifier Cool Autoreact

Clear the air with the Dyson Purifier Cool Autoreact 419900-01. Purify up to 81 cubic metres(1) perfectly thanks to Dyson's amazing HEPA H13 & activated carbon filters removing gasses and 99.95%(1) of fine particle pollution, including VOCs at up to 0.1 microns. Say goodbye to ultrafine spores, bacteria and allergens automatically as the purifier reports on its rooms makeup in real time, and activates with Air Multiplier(2) technology to draw in distant pollutants and project large volumes of purified air, utilising its 350 degrees of oscillation for full room coverage. Keep it clean but not cold with Diffused Mode that only draws in air and doesn't cool the room, or Sleep Mode for super quiet operation. Disclaimers: (1) In maximum setting. Tested for air projection (DTM801) and purification coverage in a 2860ft3 room (TM-003711) (2) Particle challenge by DEHS oil specified in EN1822 within chamber specified in ASTM F3150. Tested in Max Mode at IBR US, for whole machine efficiency above 99.95%.

Disappointing and Not worth the price

I’ve had experience with this fan with family member and it’s brilliant. Unlike the puirify auto react one from this review.

I must say this purifier works great! Me and my boyfriend have really bad allergies every morning when we wake up, literally so much dust is everywhere at our place. With the amount dust we have, we are sneezing too much each day as well as having our nose clogged every morning with allergens. At first, I thought this thing would be a joke and not work. My friend referred me about this product and had told me it works very well for her. So I decided to try it out and see how me and my boyfriend feel about it. I was absolutely surprised that this machine worked for me and my boyfriend, when me and my boyfriend woke up the next morning for the first time with this purifier, we did not have a clogged nose at all. Wow Dyson, this is very awesome!I am happy to say I will be keeping this product and will shop in the future here for more of their products. Unfortunately, this machine lost a star because it lacks app support. Sure yeah I get it that I had every opportunity to upgrade and choose the TP09, but I still believe at this price I should also have the functionality to control from the app. Overall, I still love it! However, if you are looking to buy this please consider the following pros and cons:Pros:- The purification is really great, when having it in "auto mode." The sensor is sensitive so it will pick up any smells or type pollutants to appropriately adjust the air flow for purification.- The back airflow and front airflow comes in handy when it comes to seasons, absolutely amazing! I am from Texas State, here it can get pretty cold here during winter times. With the back airflow, this is useful to have to distribute the air from the back instead of the front if you do not want the coolness to go directly at you.- The night mode is very great when it comes to sleeping at night or taking naps, you can barely hear the machine operating.- Its pretty cool to have the LCD screen to provide readings of how the air quality is, that is quite useful to have.- Talk about oscillation, Dyson took it to a whole another level! You are able to configure the oscillation to 45, 90, 180, and 350 degrees for the machine to oscillate. Whatever fits your needs, that is impressive!Cons:- Lacks App support- The fan is powerful I must say, but it isn't as powerful as a regular tower fan. So don't expect it to be like a regular tower fan where "a lot of air" is going directly to you during higher temperature seasons. Just to feel a good amount of coolness, I would say you have to set the fan speed to 9 or 10.

I had the black Dyson tower fan, strictly fan. I’ve been running that non stop for years, roughly 4. I love that fan so much I decided to upgrade and put that in my son’s room. I chose this model Tp7a because I read the descriptions on products. I personally don’t feel the need to have my fan/purifier tethered to my phone. The remote sits bedside at all times, you can scroll through lcd on unit if needed but honestly if the fan senses anything it takes car of it in its own. I turn it on and that’s it. Also this unit has more features that the link with a single part filter. The directional change at a button press is great. The air is noticeably fresher in our bedroom with a litter box. People saying it blows softly, it’s because the filter element is very fine. If you remove the filters it blows like crazy. So it’s obviously not an underpowered fan. The only thing I wish Dyson would make an option. Make a cheaper, less restrictive filter. So people that want a stronger fan that still removes most dust particles can have the best of both worlds. I’ve ran the fan with no filters, so I know the sensors and unit will operate this way. I’m very happy with this upgrade but I’d really like more filter options. At least one higher flow option.

ITS NOT A FAN!
11 February 2023

Ok so after years of spending money on pedastal fans and them breaking I decided to buy something without any blades! After reading many reviews I decided to take the plunge and buy the Dyson purifier, the key word there is PURIFIER! It’s not a fan that’s going to blow your wig off but it is very good and very effective. Our upstairs is always very warm even in winter and even though this isn’t a fan it does cool the room very well but the thing me and my missus have noticed is that because it’s purifying the air we seem to go into a deeper sleep and sleep so much better now. It does cool us very well too through the night. When it’s set on auto it’s super sensitive sensors even notice when I’ve sprayed aftershave in a different room and then walk but the fan! It kicks in and goes full blast to get rid of the particles! I’d say if this doesn’t blow enough of a breeze and cool you enough maybe consider sleeping outside! It’s a very good and clever piece of kit the only down side to it is the price, very expensive.

Made sleeping far easier
2 September 2022

During the recent heatwave in the UK, it made sleeping at night a real pain. We already had a Dyson fan purchased years ago and worked perfectly well however, this was downstairs for our dogs and so decided to buy another fan. We went to our local appliance store and saw this Dyson fan so after a quick comparison of the Dyson range in stock, bought this fan.The fan itself is well made and seems robust so have no concerns with build quality. It also looks nice which is a positive. Our only negative is that its noisier that we'd expected. It is powerful and blasts a good rate of air but its just loud. If you decrease the power, the noise drops but so does the air circulation. It did however make our room cool and sleeping easier.FYI - a few days after we bought ... MoreDuring the recent heatwave in the UK, it made sleeping at night a real pain. Seems great except in two ways

So, I just got this today and trying it out and it definitely is a lot heavier and classier than my TP02. However, I have to say I’m extremely disappointed, even with some nice features. Here’s two things first this doesn’t have Wi-Fi Connectivity which I wasn’t aware of till now, I had to research online just to find out it won’t connect via the app which is a huggee bummer. Second was the speed which at the very least would’ve helped in changing my mind but wooow. At its maximum it’s still lacking compared to my OLD model?! How is that possible???Granted it has some cool features such as the filtration been improved and filtering more particles and dirt, the LCD along with the info screen, the rotation going all the way up to 350 and even airflow can be to come ... MoreSo, I just got this today and trying it out and it definitely is a lot heavier and classier than my TP02. How is that possible???Granted it has some cool features such as the filtration been improved and filtering more particles and dirt, the LCD along with the info screen, the rotation going all the way up to 350 and even airflow can be to come from on top which is pretty nice.At max air speed setting, TP02 has airflow at 414 L/sec, but TP07/TP07A only has airflow at 290 L/sec. The huge difference is because it is deemed to be 20% quieter than the previous model (TP04, 361 L/sec), if you do the Math then their advertisement is correct 361 x 0.8 = 288.8 L/sec. I didn't know that until after looking into this further. The problem may not be due to Dyson as reported by a Reddit user as followed "I think most people don't like the fan noise from the previous model, so Dyson decreases the airflow rate to the newer model, I don't think the air loop has a huge difference between TP02/04/07, by decreasing the airflow will directly decrease the noise".Personally I understand that but I prefer to sacrifice that aspect for more airflow as this is intended to be a cooling machine. I will just stick with my TP02 and look to buy that again as that was perfect. If you're looking to upgrade consider the airflow speed as well as a lack of Wi-Fi Connectivity option via the app.

Sleek and Effective

Dyson has always been the premier air purifier brand and nothing has changed with this model. This air purifier is both extremely powerful and also very sleek looking.Right out of the box you can tell that Dyson did not cut any corners with the production of the product. There is definitely nothing flimsy or cheaply made that is for sure.Onto the actual performance of the product though in that there is nothing that changes versus the build quality as its effectiveness is top notch. Dyson packed a lot of features into this product as can been seen when cycling through the display. The sensors that detect the air quality and portray this on the screen were helpful. The other amazing aspect of this product was how quiet it was as for as big as it is and the amount of power it has it was extremely quiet. This was especially noticeable when it was in night mode. The "fan" aspect was also extremely nice as it was extremely powerful and very refreshing, but the ability to divert the flow of air out the back was a nice feature. Then with changing the filter this process appears to be extremely simple with just snapping on and off the cover on the base.Overall, the build quality and performance are top notch and there is only one slight issue that prevented me from giving five stars. The remote is an extremely nice feature that I was really looking forward to, but Dyson still has some work to do in order to get it right. The first issue was that the remote had to be used in line of sight from the front of the product and then secondly were the magnets on the top of the unit as they do not seem to be quite powerful enough as due to the curvature of the product and the lack of strength of the magnets the remote tends to slide right off about half the time. The issue with the remote though definitely does not deter me from recommending this product as it still fully functions and if you leave the remote on a night stand or table it is a nearly perfect product.

Splendid, this has to be one of the best fans I own.

Bought this as we were not getting much air movement into a middle room we sleep in. It’s made a world of difference, set on the lowest fan setting on night mode we placed the fan on the landing facing the open bedroom door. It now feels like a window is open with a gentle breeze coming in, no more stuffy stale air, the air feels fresh and clean. The fan makes very little noise and is not disturbing in any way at night. By day we use it to clean and move air about the house no matter what the temperature. It’s an expensive fan, no doubt about that, but you can clearly see they paid attention to the detail and features. Auto mode works well so we tend to leave it on all day to do its thing. Not used the fan in hot weather so can’t comment. It’s not an air con unit so will just move the hot air about, if you want cold air then air conditioning is the only way. However it’s not perfect, the included instructions are vague in places and don’t cover everything the fan can do, the remote could be better for labels and feel as it is not easy to see the symbols without glasses and smooth buttons don’t help at night if your using them by feel. Would I get another one, yes, it’s expensive and you can see why.

This does NOT remove VOCs that are much smaller
29 April 2023

The hosts and the person representing Dyson are not giving you correct information you need an activated carbon filter and a special one also to remove VOCs and other gaseous chemicals. Their example was probably water vapor or whatever they used that was bigger than 0.3 microns. So if you want to remove any chemicals from the air this will not do it. This is only for dust pollen and big things 0.3 micron or bigger. The best filters that remove VOCs can cost up to $1000-$2000 for home use and thousands for commercial and medical use. You can possibly get a decent one for 500 but it will not cover a large area. There are couple that are cheaper but also small coverage and they all have an activated carbon filter without that you cannot remove any chemicals from air! ... MoreThe hosts and the person representing Dyson are not giving you correct information you need an activated carbon filter and a special one also to remove VOCs and other gaseous chemicals. I wish QVC would get more educated before telling people misinformation like the other things such as clean beauty. I am a pharmacist (Pharm.D)

Very disappointing product
21 August 2022

I was extremely disappointed with the efficacy of this product. I had high hopes that the Dyson fan would match the high quality of the other Dyson products I've purchased but I was sorely disappointed.Even on the maximum setting this fan barely does anything to circulate cool air around the room. It was in no way able to cope with the recent high temperatures we've experienced and it barely had any cooling effect on a moderately warm day. The only useful feature I can identify is the timer mode but this isn't really worth the expense of this product. In the end, I reverted back to using my desk fan which cost a fraction of the price and had a much more effective cooling capability.I purchased the fan based on my previous positive experience with Dyson products ... MoreI was extremely disappointed with the efficacy of this product. Having used the product for a number of weeks now, I honestly can't understand how it could have received such glowing reviews. I would certainly will not be recommending this product to friends or family.
