I was offered the opportunity to test this fan as an existing Dyson customer and jumped at the chance. We have a Dyson AM07 fan which we love. The same sleek look is replicated in the purifier cool autoreact but it is much quieter. We love the autoreact so much we’re going to start saving for a second one so we can have one in each bedroom.As with all Dyson fans, the absence of blades is a huge plus with small children. A lot of people seem to complain about the noise but I've had it as high as level 5 during the heat and was able to get to sleep quite quickly, this all comes down to your tolerance to noise whilst sleeping (I don't like noise whilst sleeping but this is just an ambient blowing sound and I found it fine). I suffer quite badly from allergies and have found since I've had this device, my sinus pain has been much better, so I think the purifying element is fantastic too.In summary, it's probably the best fan you could buy, but don't expect it to make your room chilly. I'm able to give it 5* as I bought it knowing what to expect and it's met those expectations, I understand why you'd be disappointed if you expected active cooling, like with A/C. I would suggest taking advantage of the generous period Dyson allows for you to return the device, to see if it works well for you. Stuff like noise tolerance is personal and whilst I acknowledge it's not as good as A/C, for what I wanted it's the next best thing. I'll probably pick up the tower fan for my living room one they come back in stock.

With a baby on the way, and needing free up some space, we bought this Dyson fan/air purifier. We were pretty skeptical at first because of the price point... It comes with a fancy air quality indicator, however, it appears not to work even when fly spray is used, giving a normal indicator reading.In conclusion, Dyson should stick to making vacuums at an affordable price. And, they should leave making air purifiers and fans to other well-known companies that have been making them well before Dyson.

A simple and well thought out setup instruction leaflet a bit bigger than a single side of A4 that contained both text and pictures was very helpful, particularly for someone who doesn't like ploughing through lengthy manuals! The software installation and setup was simple, quick and on the IOS version I was using, faultless.It was a bit of a shock when I first sat down 5 metres away from the Purifier to find that even on a quiet fan setting 3 (of 10) I could feel a cooling breeze. Even better was when I discovered whilst exploring the app that I could very easily remotely adjust the direction of the fan rather than having to go to the fan and move it manually by trial and error. This example is representative of how easy it is to to control the Purifier with the app and how much thought has gone into the product. If you are using the Purifier for just purification there is a helpful auto setting that makes use of the exceptionally wide range of sensors and adjusts the fan speed accordingly.Whilst on the subject of sensors, if you want to know how good the air quality is in your home then this machine covers pretty much everything that is likely to be of concern in most homes and goes well beyond anything I have seen before. As it has a carbon HEPA filter I believe it can deal with most, if not all of the pollutants the sensors detect.Through the app you can set up voice control using Siri or Alexa and also schedule when the Purifier operates. I haven't used either of these functions but it was nice to discover they were available.I have found the app so easy to use it is highly unlikely that I will use the small remote control that comes with the machine very often and usefully attaches magnetically to the top of the 'magnifier loop'. From previous experience I know this helps to cut down significantly on those "where is the remote" moments. The Purifier does have a small screen on which you can access information but I found it far easier to use the excellent app.They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but in our view we found the somewhat futuristic design fits in well in many spaces because of its tall slim design. In a more modern interior decor it is a good looking piece of tech that wouldn't need hiding away. In older style rooms, being controlled from a phone using wireless technology there is no need to have line of sight for an infra red remote which means you can place the Purifier where only the slim upper half (magnifier loop) can be seen.It was good to see that Dyson have retained the Night Mode that pushes air in a more diffuse way out of the back of magnifier loop, meaning you can use it in a bedroom overnight without excessive drafts or noise disturbing your sleep whilst still purifying the air. I have used this function on a previous purifier model and found it to be very useful.

I cannot express my gratitude enough with how effortlessly this fan has been able to help me regulate my menopausal symptoms. The indoor temperature and humidity features are incredibly useful but the 4 different oscillation angles and silent night mode are game changers for me. This allows me to focus the cool air on my side of the bed and the smooth, quiet night mode does not disturb anyone's sleep at all. In fact, this fan is 20% quieter than my other Dyson Tower fan. I was extremely disappointed with the efficacy of this product. I had high hopes that the Dyson fan would match the high quality of the other Dyson products I've purchased but I was sorely disappointed.Even on the maximum setting this fan barely does anything to circulate cool air around the room. It was in no way able to cope with the recent high temperatures we've experienced and it barely had any cooling effect on a moderately warm day. The only useful feature I can identify is the timer mode but this isn't really worth the expense of this product. I had high hopes that the Dyson fan would match the high quality of the other Dyson products I've purchased but I was sorely disappointed.Even on the maximum setting this fan barely does anything to circulate cool air around the room. I saw here a lot of good reviews and hoped I am getting a great technology device, but I am disappointed now.I have two devices TP02 and this TP07.After 1 week of using both, I started getting issues.TP07:1. I have a puppy, who peed in the room during the day + I washed the room with Clorex or bleach and the device never started to turn on during it. At 3 am (when the air has been already cleaned before because we had to open the windows, btw Canadian winter here) and I woke up to that noise. There was no reason to turn on at so high speed, the air was clean. I contacted Dyson support 2 times, every time spent 1 hour chatting.After 1st time - we reset the device and it never stopped oscillating on Auto. But then I could not connect the device to the App, always offline. The Help Desk could not resolve it.So I am frustrated and did not expect such a series of troubleshooting with such expensive devices.
