Cordless cleaning, made easier, with fade-free battery power and a battery-saving trigger. Real-time reporting on the LCD screen to give you control of your clean. Dyson's power-optimising technology and battery-saving trigger help maximise run time, only using power when you need it. Powerful suction to clean your home and car. Spins at up to 125 ,000rpm, creating powerful Dyson suction. Three cleaning modes optimised for a variety of tasks. Motorised, edge-to-edge deep cleaning with de-tangling technology. Anti-tangle conical brush bar spirals hair off and into the bin to prevent wrapping of hair around the brush bar. Dyson's fully sealed, six-layer filtration system traps 99.99% of particles as small as 0.3 microns. 14 cyclones generate forces of 79,000g to fling dust into the bin without clogging the filter, so there's no loss of suction. The Dyson V11 vacuum drops into the wall-mounted dock, to charge it and tidily store tools, so it's ready to grab and go. It can change to a handheld vacuum cleaner and back again, in just one click. The 'point and shoot' mechanism hygienically ejects dust and debris into your bin, in one action -- so there's no need to touch the dirt. Remove and replace at the press of a button for even longer cleans.

I bought this bc I liked my Dyson corded vacuum and thought this would be just as good but better w/o having to unplug and replug from room to room. From the start, it clogged on absolutely anythingâconstantly. I'm picky about vacuums, and I've owned quite a few through the years. This may be my favorite -- even more so than my beloved Dyson "Animal" upright, because of its ease of use, portability and surprisingly powerful engine. As the owner of two large dogs that shed dark hair incessantly, I'm primarily interested in a tool that will pick up all animal hair without clogging or leaving half of them behind. The V11 is the most effective vacuum I've ever tried for this purpose. It may look like a stick vac, but it's as powerful as my larger upright and does a better job at pulling the hair out of carpets and upholstery. It switches easily from floor vac to hand-held model for furniture or car seats, and it does a terrific job of cleaning pet hair and freshening sofas and pillows. Even though I vacuum my carpets and furniture frequently to keep pet hair at bay, everything was noticeably brighter after being vacuumed with the V11. The hair-screw tool is my favorite -- it's particularly effective for handheld removal of pet hair -- but all of the attachments are useful and easy to switch out quickly. After using the V11 a few times, we also noticed that a family member and frequent visitor seemed to be far less affected by allergies to pet dander, sneezing far less and having no issues with watering eyes during visits. We attribute this to the V11's filtration system, which appears to do a far more effective job of sucking up but not expelling allergens into the air. This was a delightful surprise.Other features we appreciate: The Motorbar cleaner head is easy to twist, turn and manipulate under furniture and into corners, and it does equally well on carpet and hardwood without damaging the wood. Battery power is more than adequate for typical home use, cleaning six rooms and a hall with reserve power to spare. Emptying the dirt receptacle is far easier than other models I've owned, thanks to the clever design that slides downward and "pushes" dirt out of the chamber. The LCD screen is attractive, well-placed for visibility and handy to keep track of vacuum mode, battery life and other alerts. The only drawback we noted -- and it's a tiny peeve -- was having to keep our thumb on the start button within the handgrip in order to keep the vacuum running. But that's a small thing, and easy to live with while appreciating all of the other features of this easy-to-operate and easy-to-store machine.

I bought this vacuum around 4 years ago and it gets at least twice weekly use. I have one very sheddy dog and two cats but that's what this vacuum is for. It does work great and I like all the attachments, battery life, ease of use and cleaning. BUT after this type of use, the trigger button broke and the vacuum was no longer operational. After some internet research, this is very common because the OEM trigger is plastic. Dyson knows this but I believe this is partial planned obsolescence. It is unlikely to crack while inside the manufacturers warranty - more likely, as in our case, a year or two after. The replacement part on **** is $* for a metal trigger. All in all a $* fix to save a $* vacuum. Dyson could install metal triggers but then lose out on the extra $$ for those people unable to do the fix and that just buy a whole new vacuum. So all in all, it's a good vacuum but buyer beware - if the trigger fails you'll have some work to do. The extended warranty or protection plan is probably not worth it for this problem.

I have owned several Dyson Cordless Vacuums, and while I always felt they were a superior cordless option, they were still cordless and their performance should be put in perspective and not overstated. They are nice and convenient, but not a primary vacuum and unless they are on a good sale, they are typically overpriced. The V11 is the first "upgraded" cordless Dyson I have and it is a huge improvement over my V8. The battery life alone is worth the upgrade, as I'm getting almost triple the use on a single charge. And the general design feels better and functions better. The removal battery is an excellent decision by Dyson. The dirt container holds more and I feel is better to empty. And the 3 levels of power (vs the 2 on the V8) are a big improvement all around. ... MoreI have owned several Dyson Cordless Vacuums, and while I always felt they were a superior cordless option, they were still cordless and their performance should be put in perspective and not overstated. The removal battery is an excellent decision by Dyson. The dirt container holds more and I feel is better to empty. And the 3 levels of power (vs the 2 on the V8) are a big improvement all around. For me, THIS is the Dyson cordless I have been waiting for. Especially if you catch it on sale, this V11 is totally worth the purchase.A final note -- a family member has the V15 with the "detect" feature which had me curious. All it is is a laser beam that allows you to see the dirt and dust as the vacuum head approaches. Same as if you take a laser pointer and lay it on the ground with the beam parallel to the floor. It does not increase the performance of the vacuum itself, so for me the V11 is a better buy.
The good: the quality of the parts seems excellent, and it seems EXCEPTIONALLY well constructed--parts attach with a satisfying click into place, and there are no cheap plastics used, so I think it will last a long time. It seems to clean well enough in MED ode, so I appreciate that, also. Being cordless is the best, so I love that aspect of it, and it is easier to get it into tight spaces--so nice not to lug around a heavy, corded upright. So, there's certainly plenty to like here, but it is by no means perfect. The not so good: battery run time is a HUGE disappointment--you will ONLY get 60 minutes on ECO mode, and but the motor feels like a very weak mode--I haven't used that mode, as I have no confidence it will clean well. On "MED" mode, which seems to do a good job, I get 35 minutes of run time but that is on hard floors--start running it over carpet and you'll see the time dip down under 30 minutes (fortunately, I have a small house and can get my vacuuming done in 20-25 minutes). On the most powerful setting, it shows less than 12 minutes of run time. So, if you have hard floors/wood floors, not that much carpet and a fairly small house, this will get the job done and is a good choice if you can get it on sale--buyer beware if you have a big house with tons of carpet.Another annoyance so far (after two uses): I have dogs, and they rip the stuffing out of their toys, looks like cotton tufts on the floor. The vacuum head is so low, it pushes them instead of sucking them up. If there is a piece or two of loose kibble, medium size, same thing, it pushes it--you'll need to detach the cleaner head and use the tube. On medium mode, it has trouble picking up a paper clip or really small embedded particles--run it over them enough times, and it eventually gets them, but my old corded seemed to have a lot more suction power. Motor in this seems smooth and well made but just doesn't feel that powerful--perhaps it's cleaning better than I know, but I am just giving you my experience.I bought it for $220 off, so I got it for $379 with tax, so I don't feel ripped off, and I will definitely keep it. I would never pay full pop, though, as I don't think at full retail there's enough value there. If you can get it on sale and it fits your cleaning parameters with its run time limitations, size of house, amount of carpet, etc., then yes, I'd recommend it, but only under those conditions--otherwise, no.
I bought it when it went on sale and waffled between this one and the slim. I am pretty happy with this one because I did get through quite a bit of cleaning before having to empty the compartment. It is a pity this one doesn't have a head specifically for hard flooring, but it's not a big deal.Having the ability to quickly change the attachments has been amazing. It does get heavy after constant hand-held-use, but it being versatile outweighs that. The trigger mechanism has pros and cons. It's good because it only runs when you want (no need to constantly turn it off/on), but it's also inconvenient because you have to keep it on. I kind of wish there was an accessory that would allow you to keep it on for times you are using the hose and need a hand to rotate/move ... MoreI bought it when it went on sale and waffled between this one and the slim. I kind of wish there was an accessory that would allow you to keep it on for times you are using the hose and need a hand to rotate/move things as your clean. The springed hose is also a mixed review because it's nice that it compacts itself instead of limply flailing around, but you need the extra force to manipulate it during use.Overall, I am quite satisfied with my Dyson and it made cleaning more exciting and easier to do because of its cordless nature, lots of accessory, and relatively strong suction and it's worth its weight, but it is a bit of luxury to buy.
I bought the V11 in Aug â24 after my Dyson DC 04 finally gave up the ghost a few weeks ago. I had it for 20 years so going back to Dyson was a preditermining factor. Iâd always been happy with my vacuum and I was equally happy to buy this recent and updated version. It is easy to use, lightweight and powerful. Being cable free makes hoovering simple and unencumbered not having to move or swing the power lead out of the way. The visual led indicator is easy to read and gives you the remaining hoover time available. There are also three power modes depending on where you are hoovering. Battery recovery when plugged in is also quick and simple. The additional tools make corners and picture rails easy to clean and the car clean is quick especially having freedom without leads. I have only used it a limited amount of times but the experience each time has been enjoyable. I do feel confident with Dyson products, they have always been reliable and extremely functional. Peace of mind means a lot to me and I certainly get that with the V11. Overall, very happy and I would recommend this to anyone thinking of buying an all rounder which is simple to use. Looking forward to a clean house now for many more years to come.
After years of thinking Dysons were just too expensive, I was getting fed up of not being able to control the amount of hair and fluff (animal and human) in our home.I looked into how Dysons actually work and took the plunge on a slightly older model which was on offer. I'm really impressed with the amount this picks up compared to other top brands (and we've tried many!). It's really ease to use and is lightweight with an ample-sized bin; it's also easy to switch between modes if needed. As with everything, there are a couple of design flaws. The hoover won't stand up by itself and slides about if not set down in a certain way. The power button is a trigger which cannot be left on and may not be suitable for some people with hand issues. The hoover won't stand up by itself and slides about if not set down in a certain way. The power button is a trigger which cannot be left on and may not be suitable for some people with hand issues. The solution would be to purchase a switch online which keeps it in place but I think Dyson should supply one of these small, inexpensive gadgers with the hoover to accommodate this. Battery life is a bit misleading as maximum run time is with attachments and not the usual hoover head. As the cost is already high, it would be good if you could purchase a spare battery pack at a reduced cost with the hoover like some other brands offer, as you cannot always hoover everywhere in one go. All that said, I am really pleased to have found a hoover which is powerful and does what it says for once!
There is a satisfaction I get from vacuuming, not sure why, but I do. I have always wanted a Dyson and I am thanking my Bissell for breaking down at the right moment and allowing me to take advantage of the Black Friday sales. My V11 Extra came direct from Dyson itself, delivered quickly and packaged very well. Once it was fully charged and I used it for the first time, I quickly realized that all these years of wanting a Dyson were justified. The suction alone on the "auto" mode, surpassed my BISSELLŽ ICONpetŽ EDGE on its highest power level. Having a Siberian Husky, I needed something which would really get all that pet hair which is embedded in the rug. After the first time using my Dyson, it was as if I hadn't vacuumed in a month and vacuuming is something I did everyday. The Dyson V11 Extra is lightweight, very versatile and the battery life is amazing. Having the three power modes is key when having hardwood in one room, tile in another and rugs in others. The available attachments make this more than just a typical vacuum. I have already bought the Hair screw tool, dryer vent tool and even a Dog Grooming Vacuum Attachment Kit which is an aftermarket product but is made to work with the Dyson V11 and other models. I've only had my Dyson for 2 weeks and have been blown away by its abilities. There are two areas which I feel could be improved. 1: That the Motorbar⢠cleaner head had lights on it and 2: The canister was removable without having to remove the cleaning wand to empty. Other than that, the Dyson V11 Extra is a beast and I highly recommend it for people like myself who get a strange satisfaction out of vacuuming.
I wouldn't recommend this vacuum which I'm really disappointed about because it was expensive, but I definitely feel like there are major design flaws. 2 great things about it though - it works REALLY well especially on carpet, and also I was delivered a faulty part but a quick phone call to customer service got me sent a new part. So those are good things. I have 3 major complaints though, and 1 kind of dumb complaint. I just feel like a $600 vacuum could have been designed better. The kind of nit-picky thing I don't like about it is how you can't see when you're changing the attachments. I switch back and forth between hand held and standing vacuum all the time, and that massive main body attachment you can't see what you're doing when you're trying to put on the ... MoreI wouldn't recommend this vacuum which I'm really disappointed about because it was expensive, but I definitely feel like there are major design flaws. 2 great things about it though - it works REALLY well especially on carpet, and also I was delivered a faulty part but a quick phone call to customer service got me sent a new part. I switch back and forth between hand held and standing vacuum all the time, and that massive main body attachment you can't see what you're doing when you're trying to put on the new attachment so that's frustrating. Honorable con mention is that the battery is insanely heavy. But my 3 main complaints, which if I'd known about these I probably wouldn't have bought this vacuum are: 1) no "headlights"?? So can't see in dark spaces if there's anything that needs to be vacuumed. I've had a cheaper vacuum that had lights so i just figured this one would too. I really miss having that feature. 2) the air blows REALLY hard out the top of the vacuum which blows dog hair all over the place when trying to use it as a handheld vacuum. I am so serious - I had to buy a small sized dog surgery cone to direct the air up to me instead of the floor to fix this. 3) having to hold the trigger to keep the vacuum on đ had to buy a trigger hold on Amazon specifically designed for Dyson. Glad I had these two fixes to make the vacuum usable. I had high hopes for this vacuum and am really disappointed. I wish I'd kept my old hand held vacuum and just used my new Dyson for upright vacuuming but now I just have this one non-user friendly vacuum that is supposed to be the best and is actually horrible. Good thing it has good suction that's its one redeeming quality.
