This is my first Dyson - I treated myself - and I now know why the brand is so expensive. First, it is incredibly easy to put together. The head swivels and the suction is powerful. It is super lightweight also which makes it the best vacuum for cleaning the steps. The downside is that it is LOUD. Like SUPER loud and the item came a little scratched up. Otherwise this is the best vacuum I've ever owned.

ok don't get me wrong with these 3 stars but I do love the vacuum, it's just that on the second day I had been using it... it started to pulse while I was using it. Its fully charged it's not on max pwr. I checked both filters and both were clean. The cone shaped filter is washable, so I washed it off and looked inside of it there was nothing inside, so I let it dry a full 24 hrs. before I tried it again and again it was doing the same thing so since then I've been vacuuming without the cone shaped filter because it doesn't pulse without it. Dyson what is going on I need answers on what is wrong. happy and confused customer.

These is the Dyson Cordless vacuum. I love this version The "7V Advanced". It cleans well at the regular setting. It does very well in picking dirt and pet hair. It comes with two attachments. The attachment can be attached to motor end or at the end of the stick. However, the attachment doesn't match any of my other Dyson vacuums. I love it regardless.

I were intending to use this one as a backup vacuum. It started slowing up with in next couple of uses. Despite of it being used very few times. After 2 month the machine stopped working. Cannot return cannot get it repaired. Whole $200plus dollars in vain. Do not purchase this item.
We were very exited about our purchase, the first thing to notice is that it does not come with all standard attachments as other dyson vacuums nor with the wall dock (which is really a bummer). That aside, after trying it, unfortunately the battery would run for around 12 minutes and it barely glides on my carpet. Works well on my vinyl floors, but overall would not recommend. I will likely be returning it.
Definitely do NOT like that when you start vacuuming, you have to press the power button the entire time. Good way to get "trigger finger." Also, the brush head is not adjustable for different types and thicknesses of carpets. Very user unfriendly in this regard. The 2-page warranty that came in my unit was in Spanish, which language I do not speak, read, write, or understand. There was no user manual with it, and after being on the phone 90 minutes with a Dyson representative, he was unable to help me obtain one. I am not impressed! I kept researching online, and finally found where I could download the PDF, from Dyson's own website as it turned out, but it was not easy to find. Their website is also user Unfriendly. If it's not too late, I will return this product.
I recently purchased a Dyson V7 Advanced Cordless Vacuum and I have to say it's been nothing but disappointing. The battery life is terrible, it only lasts about 10-15 minutes before it needs to be recharged. I've also noticed that the suction isn't very powerful, it doesn't pick up dirt and dust very well. On top of that, it's incredibly noisy and it vibrates a lot. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this vacuum to anyone. Also, when I was opening the box the tape was ripped and the vacuum itself had dust and particles!
There is nothing I don’t like. I purchased a less expensive stick vacuum and when I took it out of box I immediately knew. The reviews were good but not worth the money to me. I didn’t purchase the vacuum from Walmart so I returned it and purchased the dyson. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
pros: Easy to put together- 3 snaps. Easy to plug in and charge, lightweight, easy to maneuver in split level homes, strong suction, works on carpet and hardwood floors, great on stairs, love how easy it is to carry around homecons: charge only lasts 10 minutes so I rarely get the entire house done, canister needs dumped after each room (but it is a smaller lightweight model, the cord models have larger canister)Overall I'm pleased with my purchase and enjoy is, but I am keeping my older model with cord for backup.

There are other redesigned features as well. When you first get the unit, the battery will last between 20-40 mins depending on the power strength/usage. As time goes on, that life does diminish and is the worst thing about the cordless vacs. I try to make sure I fully discharge the battery before connecting it to charge. I'm not sure how much extra life that gives the unit, but it worked very well with the original V7 I purchased four years ago. I bought a no-name replacement battery from amaz0n that was not worth it.
