It cancels out all the white noises around me very effectively and minimises the conversations around- Played around with the Equalizer on the app and Bass setting definitely makes a noticeable impact on the beats in the songs. I do prefer that more when compared to Enhanced or Neutral settings.Cons:- Slightly on the heavy side, but the fit is comfortable on head...- Charged the headphones to almost 100 percent, then played music for an hour or 2, then I put them into the Dyson provided bag thinking it will auto power-off, but it didn't. After 2 days when I took them out to use, they were completely out of battery. Guess the auto sleep feature needs a bit more testing or I need to turn them off completely before putting them into the case- I played some YouTube videos on the headphones and then took them off to charge, but even while charging the headphones were still connected via Bluetooth and playing the sounds for all YouTube videos. I had to manually disconnect from Bluetooth screen within IPhone, so I could listen to YouTube videos on my phone's speaker.- While trying to use the stick on the back to increase/decrease volume, sometimes I accidentally paused the music/videos instead. I guess I need to get used to using the joystick properly, a bit of learning required there for sure

I can adjust the EQ to get a well rounded, yet punchy bass, or tune it back to get nice and balanced tones for jazz or classical. That issue doesn't exist at all. In fact, the airflow on high speed oddly feels very comforting and relaxing.Walking around outside here in dusty Arizona I can say the microclimate effect was striking. I am generally pollen sensitive and it doesn't take much for me to start sneezing or coughing outside. In fact, as I was starting to have a bout, I turned on purification and within a minute or so I felt completely normal. During a light jog the airflow did increase which was encouraging. Conversation mode also worked extremely well and I didn't feel like I was yelling nor did I have any issues hearing what anybody was saying to me even with an inside voice.The air visor is relatively easy to disassemble and clean.From a price point perspective, this product's audience is definitely not your average middle class family, however I don't think it was intended to either at this stage. I'm curious to see how much replacement filters will cost and also what degree of life I get out of them, especially with primary use being in an era that is very dusty. The audience definitely feels like it's for individuals who live in desert regions like me or large city centers that are known to be heavily polluted such as New York. I could also see iterations of this product, sans audio, for vulnerable portions of the population who would benefit from a personal microclimate of filtered air.I'll look forward to seeing how widely this gets adopted and also what iterations come next.

After the first look at the original prototype, you’ll have a real appreciation for just how far the design has come for this gen 1 device.You’ll want to install the MyDyson app to register and set up your headset. Registration is automatic once you pair your headset through the application using its guide. Full control of the fan speed, volume, and a limited equalizer is available in the app. There is also information provided regarding air quality and a volume monitor that includes any outside noises it picks up through the microphones.Putting these on feels like putting a pair of soft pillows around your ears. Attaching the visor used to direct purified air to your mouth and nose is easy with the assistance of the installed magnets. One limitation with the visor on is that you cannot rotate the crown of the headphones further towards the back of your head. However, you can easily extend it while attached if it is too close to your face and you would like some more room.I was skeptical at first about the quality of the air purification, but that skepticism was immediately dismissed when I put these to the test. Stronger scents were completely unnoticeable even on the lowest setting with fresh filters. Fans can automatically change speed based on your breathing pattern and will turn off once the headphones have been removed. I do think there could be issues with some people getting dry eyes as a result of using these for longer periods of time at high fan speeds. Doing a test fit/run in person is highly recommended.Fan noise is easily masked when music is playing with noise cancellation active but not so much without. At that point, these headphones are more of a personal air purifier and white noise machine, which may be perfect for some.The sound quality is great, but the volume is limited. You’re not going to feel like you’re at an air-purified concert using these. The comfort and unique air purification capabilities make up for that loss to an extent.Perhaps the biggest letdown during my testing was the battery life. With the volume all the way up and the fans set to the second level of filtering, I watched the battery drain from 70% to 30% while getting through three short matches in Overwatch over the course of less than an hour. With that, I have a hard time recommending these for gaming.Overall, these are great. The cost of entry is as high as you would expect with the name. I think it’s a little hard to knock the price when there really isn’t another product that comes close to this. And personal space with clean air in almost any normal environment is priceless.

They’ve been effective at reducing my pollen exposure (no scratchy throat or runny nose, without meds – they don’t protect eyes from contact though).Another application I found (and that’s why I became interested in the product in the first place) is reducing exposure to all kinds of pollution on the underground. Northern line is one of the most polluted on the whole London Underground network, it’s also incredibly screechy in some places. Dyson Zone makes those trips so much more bearable by reducing exposure to both particulate pollution and noise.The technology in these headphones is truly amazing and battery lasts for hours.Quality of audio in calls on my iPhone 14 Pro is great, even while air purification is on.The headphones produce crisp high notes and deep low tones when playing classical music.I was a little self-conscious about the Daft Punk / Darth Vader looks at first. After a few days, I can say that apart from a couple of curious glances, there were no rractions from the British public. Nobody in London cares.I was pleasantly surprised to find that the adjustable magnetic face mask that delivers filtered air is easy to take off and pop back on. It also features a clever hinge that allows to use FaceID on the iPhone without taking the mask off completely.The headphones are surprisingly light for their volume.Every physical aspect is exactly the way it should be in this product. Other than deeper software integration with iOS (likely impossible without working directly with Apple), I can hardly think of what could be done better.
I received this a few days ago. I have had many dyson vacuums but at the moment own 2 dyson vacuums and the air wrap and think they are brilliant. I was looking on their site to see what else they have produced and saw these and I was intrigued, on opening, the case looks very nice everything seems like a snug fit. It does not come with a plug, or anywhere in the case that can fit one. The wire is an USB-C on both ends, this does fit in the around the middle circle in the carry case to transport with the headphones. Device connection, seems to have 2 connections on Bluetooth which I found a little odd, I think one maybe to the app and the other to the device your using to listen from, once you set up this wasn’t a problem, Phone calls are very clear and easy to control with the button on the right ear piece, which also controls the volume, it can also open Siri on iPhone and can change to the last or next track, pause and play, this is very easy to use. They are very comfortable to wear they don’t feel heavy on the head and cover the ears with not too much grip. It is easy to attach the visor, it simply clicks into place very easily. I have tried the air purifier briefly and will hopefully get a chance to put this to good use. I found it quite easy to set up to the dyson app, which gives you the air quality and lets you know when the filters need changing. The amount of battery life of the headphones is also shown in the app. In the app had a list that gives you the option for troubleshooting, device setting, how to use. You can also shop for parts and join the dyson community.I would definitely recommend going and trying these out! I don’t think you will be disappointed!

For me that is the most important aspect of any headphones I purchase offering noise cancellation...but almost feels like it should come secondary when considering this particular pair.The feature that most would be focused on is obviously the air purification. The visor is interesting but definitely takes some getting used to. While it doesn't actually touch your face it is a different feel for someone using headphones. The ability to flip down the visor when needed is a great touch as well as the ability to choose not to use them at all...of course meaning you opt out of the air purification feature. Yes, I can say the feature seemed to provide me with fresher air than what was surrounding me but I can't say I have tested them in an environment that would truly make me feel like I NEEDED it (I guess the pollution on my city streets just don't fit the level I would personally need to experience to want to constantly use it) although I feel like it might be amazing for people that experience allergy issues in my area during the height of pollen season (unfortunately I couldn't really test that theory out since the pollen count has been extremely low since I received these). I do have to mention that there is noticeable noise emitted when the feature is being used. It's not overbearing and probably wouldn't bother most users but if you are sensitive it may be an annoyance.Overall, I can see where these will be a great option for someone that REALLY needs and would benefit from the air purification based on their exposure but if you know you aren't likely to utilize the feature on almost every use you might be dropping a lot of cash on what would be the equivalent of a pair of great noise canceling headphones. As much as I love the power of the noise canceling I wouldn't invest in these based solely on that. But if I were in a much more polluted area regularly or felt like I would (and could) use these on frequent flights without issue (this I am not yet sure if that would be allowed or if it would be something that may be an issue depending on the airline and the way they view it) then I could see it being a nice investment for some peace of mind.
