I have heard so many influencers rave about this product online so decided to pick it up and give it a go for myself! I actually love this more than the milk hydrogrip primer! The primer has a sticky and tacky feeling that definitely improves the longevity of my makeup. One thing I love about this, is that I can spread the product out evenly on my face and rub it in before it gets tacky. Sometimes when using a sticky primer, I have a really hard time spreading it on my face before it starts to get tacky. That is not something I struggle with when using this product. Overall, I think this is an excellent drug store primer that holds up against higher end primers! This product is even better than the milk hydro grip!

All Day Wear! Seriously Amazing!

I was sent the mini tube as a Icon member to test out. I have used it the entire month except for three days. At first try I was skeptical becasue it felt strange going on and I was not so sure about the sticky feeling. Let me tell you, I got over that quickly. I work in an animal shelter and by the end of the day my makeup is usually gone for lots of slopply dog kisses. After using this, my makeup looks the same at 7 am as it does at 6 pm. I use Holy Hydration, Power Grip, and Elf foundation and my skin glows. I am 53 years old, so to get smooth skin, a youthful glow and makeup that stays all day is a miracle. Both the Regular and Niacinamide Versions Are Grea

I have used both the Regular Power Grip Primer and the one with 4% Niacinamide and they are both great primers. I didn't feel much of a difference in application since they both have a slightly tacky feel on the skin but this is the texture you expect to help hold your foundation and other make up products. These primers truly expand the longevity of your makeup and I went almost 15 hours with my makeup look still as fresh and vibrant as when I first put it on. Once I take off all my product, my skin doesn't feel irritated or parched, especially with the Primer with 4% Niacinamide. You know how sometimes your skin feel a bit stripped after a day of wearing makeup product? I didn't have that experience with these elf primers. Fantastic primer especially if you dont use powder

Fantastic under all cream products. I have combo skin and I don’t have to powder my whole face when I use this. I only spot powder where absolutely necessary but it keeps all my cream makeup completely in place. Much better and little less tacky than the blue one which I love. The blue one is good, but a little too tacky. This is more of a real dupe for Milk Hydrogrip. Can’t say enough about this. Just get it

So I had bought this Primer in January 2023 before my birthday and to have my License renewed. I have Combination skin Oily to dry with sensitive acne prone skin. I was hesitant to buy because it’s a grip primer. It intimidated me and obviously because I spent $ but also I had tried (MILK MAKEUP hydro grip hydrating primer) it was a disaster and I mean it would peel, my makeup would not stick it would not blend, IT SHOWED TEXTURE!!!! I will absolutely be buying the Elf Power Grip + 4% niacinamide again. also it did make my skin look more alive than any other primer I’ve used. I’m giving this review a month later because I really wanted to test the primer. Everytime I use Elf Power Grip I AM AMAZED WITH THE WAY MY SKIN FEELS AND HOW MY MAKEUP LOOKS FLAWLESS THROUGHOUT THE DAY. I live in TEXAS the weather is humid almost all the time.

I would NOT purchase again.

Cosmetics Power Grip Primer + 4% Niacinamide and waiting a minute, I applied my foundation, Estée Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Moisturizing Foundation SPF 45. I usually have make up break up around my nose so I had high hopes for this primer. I noticed how tacky the primer was so I knew I had to work quickly with my foundation. UGH! It gave me the worst coverage and accentuated every pore. It made my skin look horrible! "I couldn't wait to take off my make up," bad. It also made my foundation look splotchy because it gripped in a bad way. I looked at my nose hoping at least that should be good. Unfortunately, the foundation still broke up on my nose. Not As Good As The Original

I love the ELF power grip primer (the teal one), but I wanted to try this new one to compare. I tested it, one on one half of my face and the other primer on the other half. They both felt the same going on, but the original was more hydrating off the bat. I wore my normal everyday makeup. At the end of the day, the side with the original power grip held up better, unfortunately. This new one with niacinamide seemed more dry, emphasized dryness, and my makeup broke apart in places. I have normal skin, but I do have texture. I feel like the original power grip is more hydrating, smoothing, and wears better. I’m glad I tried it, I was curious about the difference.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh wow!

I can probably count on one hand the amount of times I’ve used a primer. Nothing ever stood out to me or made me feel 100% confident in its abilities. This stuff is incredible though! I am an oily girl. I feel like this keeps my shininess at bay, and helps the foundation remain beautiful throughout the day. Prior to using this primer, I felt like the elf foundation would go on beautifully, but “sit” on top of my skin as the day went on. Now, when I look in the mirror after 8 hours of work, my make up is intact and marries beautifully with my skin. The amount of times I have to blot my face has drastically diminished. It looks like good skin. Not oily make up. I will also add that I walk a short distance to work sometimes. I live in humid Texas. I love to use a makeup primer. Was using elf matte putty primer but with oily skin I didn’t always feel my makeup looked fresh. I had to pull out my compact and touch up my t-zone several times throughout the day. I read review reviews of this product and was a little worried about the sticky feel that was talked about but decided to try anyway. So glad I did! The primer does feel sticky on the face for a minute or so but it absorbs quickly. My liquid makeup and concealer went on exceptionally smooth. Makeup was applied at 7 am and it’s 9:30 pm and my makeup hasn’t budged! It looks as fresh as it did this morning. The biggest plus was I only pulled out my compact once today and that was to touch up my nose around lunchtime. My nose is always so oily and it just ... MoreI love to use a makeup primer.
