Elf makeup brushes are great! They work well and they are soft yet firm enough to do what they need to. I have just about every makeup elf makeup brush. They work well. Budget friendly.

Skip on this one, fam. This blends out foundation very poorly. It's so incredibly dense, and it's impossible for me to buff out foundation without streaks. There's streaks on streaks with this baby. I'm upset because I looove the size of this brush for foundation application. It's also extremely difficult to wash because it's so dense, but it doesn't shed, so that's a plus. I really wanted to love this brush so hard, but it's just not good. I am able to use it in tapping motions, but the effort it takes to use this brush instead of the elf buffing foundation brush makes it not worth it. Very disappointed because I wanted this to be my HG foundation brush.

The first day I bought this brush it literally was so prickly I washed it and put it back in the packaging ready to return it. The next day I was getting ready I decided to give it another chance only because the day prior when I used it I noticed my face looked more flawless and smooth after using this brush . It's still prickly but if you angle it in a different direction I noticed it was softer maybe after a while the prickly bristles will soften up. I have to admit it does get the job done you're face will look amazing. I only gave it four stars because of the prickly bristles which at first irritated my skin.

I normally don't write reviews for any product, but I decided to make an exception for this brush. No, it's not the softest brush that e.l.f. has, but that doesn't really matter. This brush is so dense, it absorbs hardly any product. The first time I used it, my skin looked as close to flawless as it could. I have large open pores on my cheeks and a lot of very dark acne scars too. This brush applied my foundation perfectly, very opaque and airbrushed, but still natural looking. I can'tsay enough good things about this brush.
I have oily/sometimes combibation skin, with acne, hyperpigmentation, scars and texture. I also live in a humid environment so runny foundation in a sweaty face is a thing. I cannot achieve the photo ready look because using the full coverage foundations needed for that is not possible for me. That type of base ends up looking very cakey and just like place over my face for me. I prefer a more natural look with less product, but other brushes look very streaky when I tried to do that. This one just make the natural look with less product so easy! And I am even tempted to try using more product with this brush.
I bought this hoping it would be a greatliquid foundationn brush similar to a flat top Kabuki. I tried it out a few times, but was very disappointed. The bristles feel stiffer and of poorer quality than the other Elf brushes I've used. It was rough on my skin and wasn't soft enough to blend out the makeup. It also absorbed a lot of foundation. My other brushes only require one pump of foundation but this required two. I tried to make it work with some other stuff like a stick foundation and a powder, but no luck so far.
The concept of a triangle brush for buffing purposes is great but the shape doesn't look the way it does in the photos. The triangle is a bit discombobulated, two of the edges are rounded off while the other one is more pointy. Looks more like a tiny heart, imo. Also it's not the softest ELF brush. Def not the most rough, but somewhere in the middle. I'm guessing this is somewhat affected by the fact that the bristles are very short and very dense. That being said, its denseness allowed me to apply my tinted moisturizer without losing coverage, which I can't say for many brushes. Definitely a plus, in my book. It's a very tiny so it works very well for concealer. A bit rough (by my standards, at least) for under the eyes but the shape is so perfect for that area ...ย MoreThe concept of a triangle brush for buffing purposes is great but the shape doesn't look the way it does in the photos. It gave a nice, non streaky finish without subtracting coverage, which I fully appreciate. Have to continue using it, will update if my feelings change.(Included next to a few other ELF brushes I own, for size reference. L to R: highlighting brush, triangle buffing foundation brush, flawless face brush, selfie ready foundation brush, ultimate blending brush.)
I was so excited when I found this brush. Most blending brushes are not as dense and have longer brushes, which do work to an extent for some applications but I don't feel like it's particularly helpful for cream or liquid products. This one is perfect. Like others have said; it's not strictly triangular but it's close enough. It does really well around my nose and under my eyes. I can stipple with it and swirl it and both techniques work great. I finish up with a damp blender sponge to pick up excess product and fully smooth things out. This brush is fantastic. I wish it were available in maybe a smaller size for blending out small concealer spots and a bigger size for all-over blending.
I hate to do this because I LOVE e.l.f but I bought this brush for my foundation because I hate using my hand or a blender. After only a few uses I noticed the bristles were starting to come out when I was using it. One day my face was covered in them and so I started to pull a few of the loose ones out and they started coming out in clumps. Maybe I just got one that wasn't good, because none of my other brushes have ever done this. I am sad that it fell apart because it was one of my favorites when it worked. Hesitant to purchase again for fear of it happening again and wasting money.
I really wanted to love using this brush, especially for the price, I see so many videos of people putting there foundation on with a brush, But I have very sensitive skin and it didn't work out for me. Left my skin with small bumps ๐. I guess I'll stick to my sponge.
