The Depths is our take on the classic optical vibe circuit. Now you can swab the decks with the same lush, pulsating, three-dimensional swirling sound you know and love, with some modern accouterments for all you land-lubbers out there. The Depths is optimized for use with all kinds of instruments, pickups, and to play well with dirt, so nobody’s left waiting on shore. If it’s got a ¼” output, plug it in and get deep! This device features Flexi-Switch Technology! This relay-based, true bypass switching style allows you to simultaneously use momentary and latching style switching. For standard latching operation, tap the footswitch once to activate the effect and then tap again to bypass. For momentary operation, hold the footswitch down for as long as you’d like to use the effect. Once you release the switch the effect will be bypassed. Since the switching is relay based, it requires power to pass signal.

Really great envelope filter in the up mode. You get some crazy soundscapes in the 'sample and hold' mode, especially when coupled with delay.Love it.

Works perfect for the swirling, throbbing psychedelic stuff. I run my delay into it & it into my reverb. Love earthquaker pedals.

Tested with HomerT Super Turbo, Fender Brad Paisley Tele, Fender Vibrolux and Blues Jr and Adventure Audio Glacial Zenith. This is a great sounding envelope filter, although I thought the attack was a little slow and I couldn't find a way to adjust it.It sounds great for songs like John Mayer's Vultures. However, the attack was a little slow making it hard for funky rhythm some times. It also sounds less traditional but also cooler than Robotalk from Xotic and the envelope is a little harsh on a bright sounding amp (Vibrolux with bright switch on).The auto wah up mode is nice and funky and gets you from John Mayer smooth to more eccentric quacking noises. Add a distortion after auto wah up mode and you can get some Alice in Chains sounds.Reverse down mode sounds ... MoreTested with HomerT Super Turbo, Fender Brad Paisley Tele, Fender Vibrolux and Blues Jr and Adventure Audio Glacial Zenith. This is a great sounding envelope filter, although I thought the attack was a little slow and I couldn't find a way to adjust it.It sounds great for songs like John Mayer's Vultures. Not very useful for amps with high headroom.Sample and Hold random filter: fun but not very useful sounds. Also generated quite some bad sounding pops and high ticks noticeable on a clean amp

For soothing sounds, melodies and even chords. I love the way it sounds on my guitar
An optical vibe plus more. This is my favorite pedal and goes great with an analog delay and some fuzz.
Love the sample hold function on this thing and also love choosing the direction of the sweep. This one's a keeper for sure. Thanks, PG!
Love the options and variation that come out of this baby! Highly recommended for anyone wanting to turn a Banger into a Throbber!
This is a bass-specific review: While I did get a couple cool sounds out of it (and that Sample&Hold function is a trippy), basically half the pedal wasn't usable for actual "bass" sounds, since there's no clean blend - the hi pass half of the filter sucks out all your bottom, and a lot of the range of the range knob did the same. This isn't a criticism of the actual pedal in any way, just for the specific application I'm auditioning pedals for - a simple envelope sound that doesn't lose the bass - it didn't quite work out.
so easy to use with my tele and my p90/bucker equipped rev, which is to say super easy to dial in and trigger all over the neck of either guitar. sounds excellent, does all the essential ef stuff, nails the sounds you're lookin for. and the sample hold mode is sugar on top. promised myself i'd try the analogman block logo ef before i make a final decision, otherwise i'd be buying the spatial delivery today!!
versatile envelope filter w/ sample and hold feature as well as a toggle to choose whether you want the filter to go up or down. very nice funky sounds from this and if you're looking for something a bit more adventurous, try the sample and hold feature. rhythmically futuristic. think "the relay" by the who.this particular pedal was a slight bit noisy, but i'm not sure if that's the circuit design or the pedal itself. other than that, it's built like all great earthquaker devices are: solid and easy to use, with beautiful graphics.
