These settings are not indicated on the machine meaning I have to get the manual out or go online to watch a settings video. A simple sticker 'hidden' on the outside of the 'coffee-poo' container (?) would solve this.Hot water not really hot enough to make proper tea. Hot juice and maybe some infusions, yes, builders tea, no.No hot milk option, which is a shame, my wife would like this for hot chocolate. This might be possible by selecting the Latte option, taking all the milk and then cancelling the drink before the coffee is put in, but it might waste a shot of coffee. I haven't tried it. A hot milk option could be accessed by pressing the Hot Water option and just having the machine take all the milk from the frother (like the Latte).Bit noisy in operation, but probably no more so than similar machines.Seems to use more water in cleaning cycles (when turning on and off) than I actually use in coffee, though, have never had a stale tasting coffee so the self-cleaning clearly works.Initial set-up was a bit fiddly. Pros: We had previously used a Nespresso Citiz & Milk for a few years. We would honestly never look back. I love strong expresso shots and the bean to cup setup is miles apart better than the strognest Nespresso capsules. It also provides a really nice aroma and we can leave the milk container in the fridge without cleaning after every single use unlike the Citiz & milk. Highly reccomended.Cons: There is just alot of "parts" to become familiar with. However once you do so, the machine is great.

Pros: Nice looking machine that works efficiently.Cons: Some elements of the machine are simply not intuitive. The menu system, for example, where you adjust some options and settings, is terrible; you constantly need to refer to the instruction manual to remember. Also no ability to just dispense milk on its own; you have to have it with coffee (not unreasonable, but independent milk frothing is useful). For dispensing the automatic drinks options, it's good; we just thought there was more flexibility to adjust or personalise coffees than there is.

I like the hot water function especially if you want herbal tea it's not quite hot enough for Yorkshire tea but in a rush it will do as it's instant and would probably be good for a baby bottle in a hurry. I also like the self cleaning which happens every time you turn it on or off (auto switch off too) but it does use a lot of water. I keep a cup under the spout so that I'm not constantly emptying the drip tray. Overall a great machine. 4 stars given due to milk cup feature not being as useful as it should.
Pros: Love the coffee from this machine. It warms up fast and delivers a perfect cup every time. I like to choose different beans and try different makes of coffee - I love that this doesn’t limit me to capsules. That’s why I always choose this manufacturer.Cons: The multiple cappuccino choice isn’t straight forward. You have to stand over the machine and tell it to stop before adding another cup. Not intuitive with some functions- I have to keep the instructions book next to the machine which these days I wouldn’t expect to.

The reason for this is an Americano is an espresso shot, topped up with hot water, and this requires a separate hot water delivery mechanism i.e. two spouts and this machine just has the coffee spout (well a double one). Personally, I don’t find this to be a problem, in fact it better for me to use a kettle since it reduces the frequency of topping up the water tank. There is a coffee button which makes a long Americano style drink, but this is done by forcing the excess water needed through the coffee grounds, and while it is a nice drink, the taste is different.Does it leak? No. To clarify, the drip tray will contain a lot of water overtime. This is not leaking, it is part of the automatic cleaning process. There is an indicator on the drip tray cover to show when it is full. If this is ignored and the drip tray not emptied, then there will be a big mess. I always keep a glass underneath the spout to catch the start and end cleaning cycle and stop the water going into the drip tray. There is a separate hidden cleaning nozzle towards the back of the drip tray, water from here will go straight into the drip tray, but this is not leaking.Is it easy to keep clean? Hmm - Making coffee is a messy business. The ground coffee is a powder and isn’t always completely contained. You have to be prepared to shine the light inside and brush out the excess coffee every week or so and maybe even vacuum occasionally. The brewing unit should also be cleaned every week. If you are going away for a while, I strongly recommend cleaning the machine beforehand, emptying the grounds and cleaning the brewing unit - any wet coffee grounds will go mouldy over time and that’s not pretty!Does it make nice coffee? Oh yes! Much improved over their older machines.Have I changed the defaults? Yes, the coffee grind is one click finer and Espresso (button) water quantity is increased about 50% - I made this change because for the beans I use there was a lot of flavour ‘left behind’. Now it makes a much better shot for an Espresso or manually made Americano.Basically this is a vending machine, but it is a vending machine that makes very good coffee and offers a reasonable amount of configurability. All you have to do is keep it clean.What is the build quality like? It seems up to the job, but only time will tell. Our last Delonghi machine lasted many years and never quite died.Is it perfect? No, but it is rather magnifica ;)Cons: It would be nice to have better control of the amount of water added to drinks.

Cons: I think it’d best for the coffee machine to measure the amount of coffee before the grinding process is began. Currently, if a tiny amount of coffee is left, when any type of beverage selected, system carries on using that tiny bit of coffee and attempts to grind them. However, that tiny amount is not enough for the selected beverage. This is problematic when latte was selected resulting in starting again, or choosing an espresso single shot on top of the latte and frothed milk. I hope that helps. But we love this coffee machine.
