Nice chukka's & very light weight & comfortable. Runs a bit small compared to my other Ecco's, but I knew this going in & was able to compensate with a thinner sock. Arch support was a bit flat but I use my own inserts so not a problem. Makes for a great casual & travel shoe. Still too early to gauge durability but hoping they hold up.

I started wearing these just about daily to step up my footwear by one notch. These Ecco's allow me to do just that. They work well with a simple style of jeans, including khakis, and a polo or casual button down. Very comfortable and I love that they are Gortex lined, so great in wet weather. I would buy these again. At the store, I was between two sizes and purchased the size that was snug on my feet. I wore them around the house that night to see if I could get used to the tight/snug feeling. I didn't like it after all and returned those. I went with a size larger from the online store and am happy I did. (By the way, the online had black and a size larger, while in-store only had brown - I wanted black anyway). I have a dark brown Ecco Turn Chukka for almost 2 years and just last week as i was window shopping here in the Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas Boulevard, a black pair of Ecco Turn displayed at Nordstrom men's shoes department caught my eyes. I have always like to own at least two colors in every pair of shoes i own. I just love the comfort of this particular style, gives me a perfect fit overall specifically on the width inspite of being flatfooted. The stitching of this particular model is parfectly tailored also giving a look of a tu tone finish. The durability is also exceptional as my two year old brown pair have not changed much in appearance, they still look like almost brand new. I immediately tried the Black Ecco Turn on display and unfortunately did not ... MoreI have a dark brown Ecco Turn Chukka for almost 2 years and just last week as i was window shopping here in the Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas Boulevard, a black pair of Ecco Turn displayed at Nordstrom men's shoes department caught my eyes. The durability is also exceptional as my two year old brown pair have not changed much in appearance, they still look like almost brand new. I immediately tried the Black Ecco Turn on display and unfortunately did not meet my size. A salesperson came up to me and asked for my size. He then checked what they have available in stock and did not find my size either. He told me that he could order one in for me which would take at least 4 to 7 business days. So i placed the order and felt like a week is a long wait to see my brand new shoes. I called Nordstrom 3 days after i placed the order and the salesperson told me that i was just an hour ahead of him calling me because the shoes just came in. Oh i was so excited to go over to Nordstrom at that same day and tried to beat the rush hour just to see my gorgeous brand new shoes. I got there and immediately tried them on, walked around a little with it and felt like they were even better than my other ones. Now i' ve had the black Ecco Turn for almost two weeks and i have worned them every single day from the time i got it. Thanks to you Nordstrom for finding me a special style of shoes that would add to my collection and also knowing that this pair of shoes would last a long time...
On my way to Portugal and expecting cold and rainy weather. I decided on the issue for several reasons. First of all it’s comfort. Second of all it’s looks. And lastly and very importantly it’s resistance to water. This particular shoe is great and all categories.
The sole is made of some sort of soft plastic material. The tread do not have much depth and consists of large blocks that do not offer much traction. This shoe is made for wet, summer weather only. Not recommended for any weather condition with snow or slush, as the sole is extremely slippery in such conditions. Rubber soles are far superior. There is also minimal support in the footbed, so the shoe twists very easy. This is an urban shoe best suited for getting out of your Mercedes and stepping in a little puddle in the summer. On the plus side, the Gore-Tex works fine.
I am so happy that I purchased these boots. Because these are SO comfortable and not clunky looking like most boots, I wear these as my daily walk around shoes. The good news is because they are so well made, and have all the protective features of a boot, I can traverse the urban landscape sidewalks, but also go off the sidewalks for my daily hike in the hills. I refer to these as my 'off-road ready' shoes. The ankle support is terrific..and the overall comfort of this boot/shoe is truly fantastic. I highly recommend this ECCO Turn GTX Boot to everyone.
I love these shoes. These shoes are my go-to shoes for extended travels. Very good with walking all day plus not need to change another pair of shoes at a nice restaurant for dinner. The only issue is when you walk on linoleum or vinyl floors, they make a lot of noise. Especially at hospital's hallways or office's hallways. That's the only draw back for these shoes.
I received a discount card from Ecco as I had another pair of Eccos that I had warn less than 10 times but were a number of years old and the soles literally disintegrated. I purchased these shoes as a replacement and instantly found them to fit well and they were comfortable. I wore them the rest of the day and when I removed them I found that the leather had separated from the sole at the inside of the heel. I called Ecco and they instantly authorized a return. Now awaiting the replacement. My foot is wide and Eccos always fit well for me and are comfortable. I find that I can wear a half to full size smaller than in other shoes so it is a good idea to try them on in a store before ordering or be prepared to return if the fit is not right.
I bought these boots for work be because I stand and walk all day outside I'm a Historic Presenter at Greenfield Village in Michigan. The first time I walked around in them my feet hurt, arch support was nonexistent. Therefore I put Dr. Scholl's arch support inserts into them and it made a world of difference. I own a lot of ECCO shoes and by far these have the very worst arch support of any. Because I purchased them online I was unable to give them a test walk and quite frankly based on past purchases didn't think I would have any trouble, so I strapped them on and off to work I went, big mistake. As mentioned all my other ECCO shoes have great arch support these very poor. Make sure you give these a test drive before purchasing them.
