My husband has neuropathy in his hands and feet. It is extremely difficult for him to put shoes on. He can put these on and fasten the Velcro straps without any help! They are so comfortable. I certainly recommend them.

I bought this pair of Ecco sandals less than a year ago based on what I knew of Ecco as a brand. I had a few pairs of Ecco in the past that lasted me years and I thought the sandals would be a lasting investment.That was clearly a mistake. Just a few months after I started to wear them, the strap attachments to the soles started to show some degradation. Then after less than 9 months of usage, the plastic ring that holds the back strap just broke, making the shoe useless. I would have expected this from a lesser brand and a smaller budget, but not from this manufacturer and the asking price.I will return them and look for a different brand.

Just bought this sandal for my husband who has a VERY hard time finding shoes let alone sandals that will work for him. He had a total ankle replacement 8 years ago, so he needs a VERY supportive shoe, especially in the ankle. His doctor recommended a few brands and actually Ecco wasn't one of them he mentioned. However, my husband has several pairs of Ecco shoes and has been very happy. While looking at the other brands, Teva and Vionic, this shoe came up. I was THRILLED because Ecco consistently provides a great, supportive and comfortable shoe. They arrived today and he HAS NOT taken them off. Hiked (literally hiked) all over Europe in my last pair. Went to buy a new pair but the sizing had changed so I tried the Keen "Rialto". Big mistake. Wearing the Ecco sandals you can actually "feel" the ground... A huge confidence booster. My GF is a hazard walking... and when we started down the volcanic rock in Hawaii she was REALLY nervous. We wear the same shoe size so I had her put my Eccos on... she freaked with excitement... and I couldn't wear them again until after the trip haha! Love these things. On the lower side of the size spectrum I think their sizing numbers are RIDICULOUSLY small/shoes too large for size. What Ecco defines as size [40/6 & 6.5] I feel is a US size 8.
My husband has feet problems, including high arches, and sometimes gets him foot pain after our 4-5 mile daily walk. Walking in sandals was more comfortable for him in warm weather, but he stopped when his Hi-Tec sandals wore out and his favorite model was discontinued. I tried the Ecco Yucatan sandals for myself, and found they have great support. We bought him 2 pairs. His feet are in much better shape after long walks. Would recommend them to anyone.
My husband has dementia and walks at least 35,000 steps a day. These shoes are the only ones that seem to last him for 3 months at least. I can also have them resolved when wearing out to get further time out of them.He is comfortable in them also.

Tried on other brands (Keen, Teva) and found these to be the most comfortable and stable, and more true to size. One caveat is that it does not come in wide (tough to find in sandals - why?). My normal shoe size is 43 wide. My right foot is slightly larger/wider than left. Fit left perfectly, but right was slightly snug width wise. Since I plan to use these most of the time on the boat and beach/water, and not long hikes, I can live with that. If I wanted these for extended walks/hikes, I would search for sandals that came in wide (very limited). Yucatan materials may not dry as quickly as others, but is fine for me. Overall I am very pleased and would purchase again.
Top quality materials. Firm fitting and adjustable; can run in them if the urge overcomes you. The foot bed is quite supportive. I ordered blue. They are a fashionable sandal.
