Perhaps the new materials are better than the old but these look like trainers, and the old equivalent looked like going-out shoes. I worry that these new ones will soon look dirty after a few rainy outings.

Fine. I had tried this style on in a local Ecco shop, but wanted to see if I could find a leather shoe rather than the nubuck which are not so easy to keep clean as leather. As I couldn't find an alternative I bought the nubuck from you. I generally have a lot of difficulty finding comfortable hard wearing shoes.
Very lightweight shoes of Ecco superb quality. I usually buy a 39.5 (6.5) but risked size 40 (7) and gald I did - so slightly smaller on the sizing.Prompt and secure delivery.
I recently bought this colour (previously bought the lighter blue a few weeks prior) to go with different colour outfits and because they are very comfortable while I am getting over a broken ankle. I wanted something a bit 'daintier' looking than the normal sort of trainer and also something with the least anount of stitching so as to avoid pressure points.Ideal for my purpose, they look good and I can walk in them for hours without undue discomfort to my ankle at the end of the day. I have quite narrow feet so for me they fit true to width, otjers might find them to narrow.
This is the second pair I have bought.They are so comfortable. And the first time through this shop/website.They were delivered fast and well packaged.
Love my new Ecco trainers great colour I now have three pairs. Thinking of getting another pair so comfortable, I know ithey will fit and not rub my toes or anywhere else.
These navy sneakers are plain but very comfortable and they are great with jeans or dark coloured pants. They are true to size. The only negative is the round laces which tend to untie themselves as you walk around. Flat laces would have been preferable. Overall, I would recommend.
Have been wearing Soft 2.0 in grey and black for years and loved them. This time ordered the white for a change in 43 and were shorter i length than previous shoes. Sadly had to send them back. 😔
