Absolutely love my Alexa. I bought four of them four years ago for my family that live out of town could not live without it. My mother and daughter love theirs. The only thing is it just randomly broke, but I guess four years is good. Use for an electronic used daily, I like the new style better because in the old style, I had to buy two different stands because it just was flat and sat on the counter. I have another Alexa in my bedroom. I am very happy with any Alexa

I have and love and use an Echo Show 5, so when I had the opportunity to pick up the Amazon Echo Show 10 | HD smart display with motion and Alexa I did not hesitate. The grandparent and grandkids owe much of their relationships the past year to devices I’m such as the Echo.Again, it’s easy to set up, especially if you already have the Alexa app, as we do. Light and cameras go into different zones or rooms, grouped so they are easily and quickly controlled. Too, it integrates perfectly with my non Amazon smart devices (such as my doorbell camera), so I don’t have to juggle multiple apps. My doorbell cam displays perfectly on my Echo 10, for example.I decided to place the Echo Show 10 in the kitchen, thinking mostly that the video and hands free operation would be most useful where the food is being prepped, and it’s perfect for us there. No more do we have to touch our phone to see a recipes, touch food, forget a step, was our hands and reawaken our phone (over and over). Now the recipe is constantly available visually on the Echo Show, and Alexa and help answer any question like “Alexa how much salt did you say I need,” with the convenience I have when my mother in-law is actually with me in the kitchen. This feature is particularly useful during online virtual meetings as you aren’t tethered in one spot, but can instead multitask while meeting with work or friends. The speaker is obviously much larger than what was in the Echo Show 5, and while I was happy with the previous versions sound quality, the Echo Show 10 is vastly better, offering deeper, filler sound, and louder too. It’s fun to follow along with the lyrics of sounds on the screen, and adjusting the volume is as easy as telling Alexa, “sound up,” or “volume 4,” or whatever. She’s a very clever girl, this Alexa.Other things I love and use constantly are weather reports, alarms, and photos reels. And really I’m just scratching the surface, as the Amazon Echo Show 10 seems to be endlessly functionable. I obviously recommend, and am excited to see what Amazon comes up with next to improve and simplify my life!

The echo show 8 got my 5-star rating and I have one in each bedroom at home. The echo show 10 goes in the kitchen. But although it has a bigger screen and bigger speaker, it doesn’t live up to its design and potential. The motion is choppy and the screen following is poor. You can ask “Alexa, motion off”; and it would reply “motion is now off” but the screen would still move. Repeat this about 4-5 times and motion MAY really be off. Screen following is the same way. Wake word sensitivity is poor. Sometimes you have to shout at it to wake it. This is opposite of the 8, which you can whisper to it and it would whisper back Often I would say “Alexa” in the kitchen and the ones in the bedrooms would answer instead. prompting me to have to change the wake word for the ... Drifting off to sleep and saying “Alexa, lights off” only to remember: you are in the bedroom. Comical but annoying at the same time.Speaker is great. Better than the 8 for obvious reason. That and the bigger screen are still not enough to justify its price in term of value when compared to the 8, which is at a fraction of the price. The first one I brought home has the seal broken so I thought may be it was defective, so exchanged it for another one. Same problems. So looking like a design or software problem. Still debating if the better sound and bigger screen are worth the annoyances. May be the next generation would be better.

I was very disappointed. I’ve had the echo show 5 for a few years and never had any issues with it. Years later, they came out with the show 10 which was a nightmare. With my first purchase, everything worked fine on day one. The following day, home monitoring feature stopped working, unresponsive. Spent 3 hours with support (who were out of the country) to get nowhere. I had exchanged it in hopes that I would have better luck but it was just as bad. Again, all worked fine the first day. The following day, not only did the home monitoring feature stopped, but couldn’t access widgets nor open settings. I just returned it and got my money back.
I just upgraded from the echo show 5 that we’ve had for 5 years to an echo show 10. I love that I’m able to communicate with family and friends that have one. I also love that I’m able to do homework and cook with talking to them. I also love that I can turn on the motion option and the screen is able to move side to side following me. We are also able to connect to the ring doorbell to see who’s at our front door. I’m able to download pictures and videos from my phone so I can use it like a big digital picture frame. The best part about having the echo show is that my mom and I were able to communicate through the echo show when we had the phone outage 2 days ago. I you don’t have one you should get one. You won’t regret it.
This thing is great. I gave it 3 stars because of advertising. Stuck with a useless adds that can't be turned off....remember the phones before you could purchase unlock ones. Just maybe returning it since my only purpose for going with Echo was to integrate my Ring cameras, but since I can do the same from my phone, it pretty much renders this a $249.00 waste of money.
This is a great and convenient tool to have in the kitchen. Being able to pull up a recipe by simply asking and then adding all ingredients to a shopping list is great! I was watching a movie on Netflix while cooking the other day. It makes being in the kitchen much more enjoyable! It also helps keep me and my family organized by adding events to the calendar! Or allowing us to add things to shared lists. Our Christmas shopping was made easy by telling Alexa to add things to our Christmas shopping list. The only downside is sometimes the following feature can be a bit funky but we are still learning to navigate that feature.
Where to I start... The screen rotation, to me it is more of a novelty than anything else. The screen does rotate towards your voice, problem is, it will eventually auto rotate back to its set point, but rarely does it actually stop at the screen's setpoint. I turned rotation off, don't miss it. One problem is that when the screen is at its set point it is not fixed meaning when you tap the screen anywhere outside of the middle point meaning the edges, it flips and flops back and forth by maybe a quarter inch.I also have an issue with the device understanding me. I upgraded from an original 2019 Show device, at that time, I don't think there even was a Gen 1, 2... but I will refer to the old device as Gen 1. I upgraded from an original 2019 Show device, at that time, I don't think there even was a Gen 1, 2... but I will refer to the old device as Gen 1. The Gen 1, with the TV on at normal volume it had no problems hearing me and executing my voice commands. With the Show 10, I have to repeat my commands multiple times and even have to yell at it to get it to do what I asked. I have WeMo lights that can be controlled by the Show 10, command to turn on a living room light is Livingroom on, when I give the command Alexa responds, which device, I say living room again, it still asks which device, so I yell at it living room and it turns on the light. Interestingly enough when I say Livingroom off from the bedroom (same device in living room), it works first time. With the TV on, and it's not that loud, I have to repeat 4 out of 5 voice commands. I talked to Show 10 support and asked why you don't have noise canceling incorporated into the device, they said that's a good question, maybe we'll put that in a future update.Enough complaining: larger screen is nice and colorful. The unit has some weight so where you sit it is where it stays. It has a lot of new features not in the Gen 1. Sound is good, camera is also decent quality and for those that are paranoid, it can be disabled with a slider that covers the camera. That's it, one final note, it would be nice if they dropped the price by $50 or so. Saying this because if you are upgrading from an older device, you are paying a premium, especially if your old device works as does mine.
Good Points: I was sceptical about the price in comparison to other echo devices but this does so much more and is definitely worth it.Setup was super quick and super easy. You’re getting the sound quality of the original echo’s but with a decent quality tablet on top. Granted the tablet doesn’t function quite how a Kindle Fire would, but it has some pretty good stuff.Video calling quality is great and when you’re on a call with someone, it follows you round and zooms in so you’re always in the picture. It has Netflix and Prime video which are fully integrated with Alexa so you can ask her to play a particular programme without touching the screen.Ring video doorbell integration is really easy to set up and use and again gives a really good quality ... I can play my music across the whole house and it was super easy to set up.I was really surprised alexa was able to hear me from other rooms, even with music playing full volume too. There are so many things this can do, but it’d be impossible to list it, but if you’re looking for something with a bit more power and capability than your normal Alexa, it’s worth the extra.Improvement Points: If there was one thing that could be improved, it’s the motion tracking. Occasionally she’ll go a bit mad and spin around if you go too quickly, but a quick shout of Alexa and she picks up your voice and spins back to face you. She does struggle if someone else comes into view as well.
Basically the same as the show 8 2nd and 3rd gen but with motion upgrade. The speakers are slightly better. The motion is a bit laggy but not a buggy as the previous echo shows. I enjoy this for the rotating camera feature to see the house when im out. I also enjoy the larger screen. If you are used to owning echo products you know they are never as futuristic as epected but overall i recommend this product. Pros: you have a slightly upgraded speaker. The camera rotation is great for home surveillance. It doesnt look as clunky as the previous models. Cons: the screen could be more modern. The motion sensing is laggy.
