Over all its a great little unit if they can improve in the quality control and work out some of the little bugs it would be perfect for what it was mean to be.

I bought this portable generator to prepare for hurricane season. I have a gasoline generator and hate the noise it makes all night long. The ecoflow generator arrived just as advertised, brand new in excellent condition. It came 30% charged, I connected it to charge and in approx 45min it was at 100%. It powered my TV, laptop, fan and a light all that I need during a power outage. I will likely purchase the battery expansion so that I can add an electric cooler. The fast charging of Ecoflow is great, with other generators you have to wait 6 hours. Ecoflow is an awesome product.

The Ecoflow River Pro is a good mid-sized Battery Generator. I have experience with half a dozen or so brands in this sector and while there is no perfect unit, this one is very good. Some highlights:-Excellent monitor! Very easy to read and has all the data you'd want. It shows which devices are pushing power and how many watts through each, the amount of time until it's discharged or charged, how many watts are going out or in, the exact battery percentage and more. I would say in this sector EcoFlow has the best monitor on the market.-App access to the unit. It shows which devices are pushing power and how many watts through each, the amount of time until it's discharged or charged, how many watts are going out or in, the exact battery percentage and more. I would say in this sector EcoFlow has the best monitor on the market.-App access to the unit. You can access the unit from your phone if it's connected to your router and there is a way to direct connect with wifi. From there you have several options to control the unit including turning ports on and off, adjusting the speed of charging, adjusting the max charge percentage which is beneficial for controlling the battery health over time, adjusting the DC charge input so you don't blow fuses in your car if you don't have a high output ability (can adjust from 4 amps to 8 amps), you can update the firmware (great for adding features or fixing bugs in the future) and more. You can see all information that you can see from the monitor.-You can set AC, Screen and Unit timeout mode so you can control how long it will stay on before shutting off which is key if you have a device that draws low power as many units will kick it off if there isn't a significant power draw.-X-Boost. This feature is very helpful in certain situations but you need to be careful with it. It allows you to use devices that require more than 600 watts by lowering the voltage of output. So it won't put out more than 600 watts but it can allow you to run items like heat guns or tools up to 1,200 watts by lowering the voltage output. Warning: some items can be damaged by low voltage such as electronics like computers etc. so I recommend you keep this off unless you know what you're doing and know if the device can accept power with lowered voltage.-Charge time is insanely fast! I've seen up to 665 watts in from AC and you don't realize how handy this is until you use it. Some of my battery generators can only take a max of 67 watts in and it's night and day difference on how quickly you can charge this and get back up and running. I recommend slow charging it (you can change it in the app) when you don't need it fast as it should extend battery life but this is the feature I find myself enjoying the most. In 1 hour I can get to 83% charged from 0%.-My experience in asking questions with support has been positive with their staff replying quickly and answering my questions.-Internal power supply! No carrying a big brick charger around, just need a power cord.-Very quiet charging. You can adjust it to high speed to keep the machine cool during charging which I do to prolong the components if I don't need it quiet but it's nice to have the option to keep it quiet during charging or use. What could be improved:-I wish they'd add a battery percentage cut off in addition to their max charge rate. Example: I want to set it so my battery stops charging automatically at 85% (which you can do) and set it so it will quit discharging at 20%. This would allow me to leave it on and unattended and not worry about straining the batteries thereby far exceeding their advertised life cycle (which is 800 cycles from 100% to 0% before the battery can hold 80% of it's original capacity).-Increase the AC inverter efficiency. It's about 80-82% efficient which isn't bad for this segment. It's about average, but while we're making a list of wishes it would be nice to see that come up a little.-Add a physical button to shut wifi on and off. As it is, the wifi is on constantly and it doesn't draw much power (tech support says 2-3 watts) but I'd like the ability to shut if off when I'm camping and don't need it.-Use Lithium Phosphate as the battery chemistry instead of Lithium Ion. There is a trade off here and I understand why they choose Lithium Ion as it is lighter/takes up less space for the same capacity compared to Lithium Phosphate and it handles cold weather operation better. So an argument could easily be made for why these mobile / camping units are best suited for Lithium Ion however I like the idea of having the extra cycle counts and safer chemistry that Lithium Phosphate allows.-Add a cabinet to hold the power cords so you don't ever have to worry about forgetting anything. If they made the unit a tad bit bigger and added a place to store the cables that would be awesome although I know that increases size and some may not appreciate that. Overall this unit is superb. I purchased it from Costco for full price and am not being paid for this review. I just really thought it was a very well done unit and worth a run down after some time with it. There are other good units on the market too, but in this wattage range this one may be the best money can buy as of the time of this review.

River Pro is awesome unit! Have not used for camping yet, which will be main use and why purchased. Did have power go out recently while working from home. Was able to power router/fiber internet devices aa well as computer system, then restore VPN remote connection and continue with work. So, I have had an opportunity to use this when needed. Along with charging some new rechargeable flashlights and lanterns I now have for home and camping. Have nothing negative to say about this unit. Am glad I bought it. I chose EcoFlow after doing thorough review over other comparable items available.

I bought this unit and two "smart batteries" to go with it. This unit charges fine but does not seem to recognize when one of the external batteries is attached. No change in screen and no indication that the external battery is charging. I upgraded firmware on this device and triple checked all connections and tried both batteries and both cables. Read the manuals cover to cover. I called support 4 days ago and after 5 minutes of basic troubleshooting I was told my issue would be escalated and I would receive an email that day, no email every came. It's now 4 days later. They had me return the two external batteries to have the firmware updated. Eight days later the batteries were back and seem to be working as expected. Rating the product alone I'd give it 5 stars. I now own 3 Ecoflow solar generators, two extra batteries and 2 solar panels. The products are durable, work well and the digital display is the nicest I've seen in the portable generator market. This customer support experience has cost Ecoflow a star as there seems to be some training needed in the first support level.

This unit is just gorgeous! It charges on AC really fast, like advertised. I've tested it already on the fridge and the freezer appliances I have in my garage and it delivered on its capacity and capability. I love the fact that it has THREE AC outlets (not just one like the comparable Jackery) as well as all other common charging sources. The size of the unit is also nice and compact. But what really wow-ed me is their phone app! How cool it is to be able to monitor the status of the battery as well as configure all kinds of stuff in real time, using the app? In my example, I don't need to go back forth to the garage to check on how much power is left while the unit is working. I can have them working for a prolonged time. Worth having in every home.

I bought this to use in my RV. Going down the road, I could only power 120 v devices by running the generator. The ecoflow let’s me use all my usb powered devices and charge me cell phones without the generator. I did not have any USB ports in the dash area and this immediately solves that problem. I pu this in a small cabinet I built and I could not be more pleased with how well this product works. It charges quickly and easily powers everything I need all day. I have run my Starlink off of this battery and it just does everything it claims to do.

I get nervous about power outages, especially after a storm took out power for 9 days some years ago and I didn't have much back up at the time. (Side note: found out solar-powered yard lights worked through most of the night, so I'd bring them in for a little light.) I borrowed a gas generator after a few days, but it was loud, dirty and gas had to be hauled in; the refrigerator had already 'died'. I first bought a small Ecoflow 600 generator, which helped get through 2 days out power out when repairs were being made; I could run the refrigerator half hour every four hours, but I did need to charge it up at my neighbors (quick charge -- beautiful, and thanks!) I don't "app" anything, and so far have not needed to communicate with these generators via my phone -- which is good, because when the original storm hit, my cell phone was in my car and I could not get to it nor easily charge it. I don't count on cell phones working, too much can go wrong too easily with them. During power out, I did run light, small DVD player, coffee maker (I didn't try running modem / tv at the time). I have run electric chainsaw, greenhouse light strings (minimal heat for plants), drill and similar with these units.

So far so good! I was looking at a bluetti eb70 until I saw this in Costco. After doing some research and getting some Amazon gift cards I made the purchase on this one. I’ve never had a power station before or really handled one either so I don’t know how this one stacks up in terms of weight. As far as battery life, it came to me with like 20% charge, I plugged it in and was stunned that it reached 100% in a little under 2 hours. I thought these things had to be charged for 6-8 hours!? The main purpose for getting this was for tailgating and camping (we’ve always wanted to be able to run a heated blanket when we go on winter camping trips because our propane heater can’t run all night we’re sleeping). So far I’ve been mainly using it during our several power ... MoreSo far so good! I was looking at a bluetti eb70 until I saw this in Costco. The main purpose for getting this was for tailgating and camping (we’ve always wanted to be able to run a heated blanket when we go on winter camping trips because our propane heater can’t run all night we’re sleeping). So far I’ve been mainly using it during our several power outages that we’ve had. It’s allowed us to run lights, keep our mini fridge going, all kinds of things. I’m excited to see what other uses present themselves but so far no regrets! The app is neat too. I haven’t used it much and I’m not sure exactly how or if I’ll use it, but it’s cool being able to check the status and turn on ports wirelessly.

Weigh Your Options

I got the River Pro and like this option. However learning that it discharges the main, then goes into this...well that's like not having one and jst using another solar generator that already has plugs. Maybe in the future where you have control of what discharges first. Like say power goes out, you have it plugged into a fridge, but then all of a sudden you need to take the generator. Well if it's discharging the main...you just wouldn't have no power. I would rather spend the extra hundred and get the River Max as a back up (would loose the extra 144wh) as I would gain convenience and versatility. I still like the option...but it's going to be a stationary unit then I would rather go with the Delta. Maybe if it drops in price like 2-$300 then it would be very ... MoreI got the River Pro and like this option. But for now...the concept of two is one and one is none. I would rather have 2 battery banks for redundancy. So thoughts to consider
