I got 2 of these originally to replace 2 older broken Ecology plates because they looked the same in the picture, but these don't have the 'usual' plate edge, ie flat center with gradually rise to edge. These actually are a very flat plate with a very distinct turned up lip on the edge, about 1cm rise. Great for containing sauces, gravies, etc. And, I really like the look of these plates, they are very attractive. I'm still a bit leery that the lip may chip. They stack well with each other, but other style plates are a problem. They also fit well in the dishwasher, I was surprised, actually. But, my husband really likes them - the look, and the lip - so I got more of them got them to replace all my older plates.

These plates are of a classic design, look great on your table and are of good quality. I bought them for everyday use but would be very happy using them for a dinner party. I bought the plates when they were reduced and was surprised at how fantastic they look. I’d recommend them to people looking to buy fabulous plates.

These look nice but a couple chipped straight away, even after one use and we were very careful when handling
