Keeps my place clean to have an occasional vacuuming when I more often than not am too lazy to use my larger vacuum.

Had this thing for two weeks. So nothing in the product description says that while it is an “all-in-one” vacuum and mop, you have to manually attach the mop attachment for it to do any mopping. It does NOT vacuum and mop at the same time, like a scrubber. Plus, it is horrible with dog hair. The “auto-suction” dust dispenser does nothing but clog up the filter on the Deebot, rendering it useless and needing MANUAL cleaning of the dust bin every single time. Maybe it works better with only small particulates, but sorry lots of people have dogs or cats as pets. Plus the pads that come with the machine are terrible as they do nothing but lightly drag on hardfloor and spread the mess around. To top it all off, after about 2 cleans it stopped being able to make it up the ramp to return to charge. It would just spin its wheels, and either ask for manual assistance or die once the battery depleted from failing to dock itself for over an hour. This thing is trash and would not recommend to anyone except someone with no pets, and lightly trafficked areas in a small apartment without a complicated floorplan to confuse the machine and get it stuck. Currently trying to return under warranty.

This is a good product. It was easy to set up and I love how it maps my house and creates a memory of each room. I am able to use the app to have it clean only a certain room, or have it automatically clean the while house. I also set it up on the app to avoid certain areas of the house so that it doesn't get stuck under the recliner if someone is sitting in it with it open like my last vacuum did. I have mine set to come on every morning at 8am, which lets me know when it's time to leave the house and take my son to school. If the battery doesn't last long enough for it to clean the whole house, it returns to the charging dock, and once it is charged again, it starts back where it left off and finishes the job. I paid extra so I wouldn't have to empty it as often myself, but if I don't remember to make it empty the bin after each cleaning (after it automatically tries to), it gets too plugged up and I have no choice but to do it myself by the second cleaning.

Great vacuum. Mapping works great if you setup your house exactly how you want it during its first run. Any changes after that it will adapt to but you can always default back to the original map if something goes wrong. Object avoidance works well, it will tap you or an item with the brushes on the front but it won’t ever hit anything with more than the lightest tap. Battery really does last nearly 3 hours which is enough to do my open concept main floor of about 1600 sq. ft. With 400 of it being rug or carpet. It auto identifies carpet, though it also seems to mark vents as carpet as well. The only problem with this unit was the auto-empty station. It auto identifies carpet, though it also seems to mark vents as carpet as well. The only problem with this unit was the auto-empty station. Like many other reviews state, it often leaves the middle section of the dustbin full of material because there are two empty ports on either side and both are pulling equally on the center section basically creating no suction. . One piece of duck tape on the bottom of the vacuum over one of the empty ports fixed this issue completely. It would probably work better on the top, just under the dustbin, but I didn’t want to make the dustbin sit off level. Anyway you do it, blocking off one of the two ports on the dustbin or vacuum dramatically improves the suction on the auto-empty bin. Also, the auto-empty bin is $250 separately if you buy it anywhere else. If you get this model on sale at Bestbuy, it’s a really get value if you plan on getting the bin.
Good robot but support is terrible. Be ready to find your own answers online if you want the robot to work correctly in your home. Here are some issues support didn't have any answers for and basically said sorry that's the way the robot works and to accept it. - A rug that is barely a quarter of an inch tall would cause the robot to not roll onto the rug. I have 4 of these rugs on my hardwood floor. Support was no help, I figured this one out on my own and after disabling the 3D avoidance feature the robot rolled right onto the rug. This was a head scratcher as one of the reason I bought this advanced robot was so it would avoid things like cables and chairs so it wouldn't bang into things or get the roller caught up but now this feature was useless for me. My Neato robot never had this issue since it never used this feature. - The robot would avoid parts of my rug, support said this was a feature because the robot considered black color areas on my rug as potential "fall" zones since the sensors think its going to fall off stairs. I told support I only use the robot on my 1st floor so can we disable this feature and the response was sorry, this is how it works. My Neato which also has the ability to detect fall areas had no issues cleaning these rugs over the years....it must use different type of sensors. This robot cost twice as much as my neato and couldn't even clean these rugs....I had to search the internet and found other complaints from other customers, the answer was to use tape to tape over these sensors, you would think support could easily open a feature request to bypass those sensors instead of me having to use some cheap tape to cover the sensors. - The robot had an issue where it lost it's map this caused it to gray out my scheduled jobs because it thought it was on a different location. After I got it to relocate itself it still grayed out my scheduled jobs and would not start any of the jobs or new jobs I created...I couldn't figure out how to delete the job so opened a ticket with support. Again they were no help and said they identified this as a feature request because you couldn't delete grayed out scheduled jobs. They suggested I delete all my maps and have the robot rediscover the floor. I did a quick search and in 2 minutes found the answer on how to delete the grayed out scheduled jobs....I was speechless that support didn't even know about this. - Lastly I spent more for this robot for the feature that it will auto empty the bin....however it's not that great, the hairs would get caught and cause the auto empty to never fully empty the bin, I always end up having to clean it out. I could open a ticket to ask support why this feature doesn't work correctly but I have given up. I'll just figure it out on my own later. As you can see support is terrible and all the features I spent extra for ended up not working. Worst part is I've only had this robot for 1 months. I bought this robot thinking it was going to be a big step up from my old trusty neato that I've had for 5 years but it's just a little step up. The only positive over my Neato is that this robot is a lot quieter and the advance mapping works better once I got it working. I can schedule specific areas to be cleaned on specific days/time. The UI was also easier to work with and create boundary lines so that it stays out of trouble areas. It does have a mopping feature that the neato didn't have and I've used it twice now, it's pretty average I took a full 2 stars off of the review because of support and all the things I listed above. I am pretty patient and tech savvy so I was able to figure out the issues above on my own or searching the internet. However for folks that aren't as savvy or patient you are going to be out of luck with the lackluster support. My neato wheels wore down after 5 years so I hope this expensive robot will last longer than 5 years and maybe support will improve, I did provide constructive criticism to support but I am unsure if any of these will be addressed.
Long story short, my vacuum died and I needed a new one. Friend recommended I give this/robot vacuums a look due to their extremely positive experience. I was hesitant, but figured it's on sale, makes my life a little more automated, why not? I'm going to start with saying all, but one of the of the downsides seem to be part of a robot vacuum. Let's start with that one example, if you have dark/black carpets or designs it will mess it up. It has fall sensors that can't tell the different between a black spot and the edge of a staircase. The current solution is to use some white tape on the sensors. Though I wish they would release an update to disable them if you only have a 1 floor place to clean. The other issues, it's not a full on vacuum so don't expect it to do deep cleaning on a carpet though it does auto adjust the suction up to do a better job than expected. As good as it is for getting the corners, its round design still can only do so much for 90 degree corners so some dirt can pile up. Last thing is once in a while you will have to cut hair/tangled threads out of the roller. Otherwise it hasn't gotten stuck, run over fake poo, or given any fuss.
This is a great unit, the N8 + pro with the vibrating mop. Except for the software. I don’t write reviews often, only when somethings exceptionally good or exceptionally bad. In this case, software is exceptionally bad. The software is like working with a little old man with severe Alzheimer’s. I’ve had this thing map the house over 20 times and yet again, it forgets. You’re back to restoring it and instead it just erases it and doesn’t work. So, you have to do it again. Start all over again from the beginning. This vacuum is the absolute worst robot vacuum we have ever owned. We have to run it two or three times for the floor to feel or look clean. The vacuum is supposed to be an auto empty vacuum however, that feature only works 1/3 of the time. I tried contacting the company to rectify the issue and they sent us a brand new one with a brand new base after a long battle with them. On the first run with the brand new vacuum and base it did the same thing. The dustbin wasn’t even a third full and it didn’t empty at all. I even have a video to prove it and I sent it to Ecovacs. Customer service told me I had to manually tell the auto-empty vacuum to empty after it was done cleaning a small areas of my already small apartment. Then send it back out again. Loved it at first. Easy setup, clean floors. After 6 months the vacuum suction completely stopped working. Sent it for warranty repair and when it came back it was one thing after another. -- Vacuum suction power low no matter how I set it in the app. -- Couldn't find its way back to the charger. Actually would stop in front of the charger and say it can't find it. -- Wouldn't start automatically according to the scheduled task more than once. I did a complete reset several times, including deleting and re-adding the wifi connection and deleting and re-installing the app. Support wanted me to send it in for repair a second time but I was so unimpressed with the first "fix" I didn't do it; just been pushing the start button and setting it back on the charger myself. ... MoreLoved it at first. I was on the fence about how good this vac would work, after a learning curve it's great. First you have to let it map your house after that you can auto clean or set certain room to clean. make Sure to check the dust bin on the first making a map of the house. we have cats and after it went under beds the bin filled fast. The bot will not return to empty a full bin by its self it will empty after a task has been completed. after the first couple of cleans the bin is more than enough. the mopping is more for maintenance to keep floors clean. the bot will avoid carpet when mopping all in all very pleased with ecovavc I did call customer service about the bin not emptying when full, very surprised to have call answered very fast and got the answer. you will find you ... MoreI was on the fence about how good this vac would work, after a learning curve it's great.
