Now it just refuses to complete a job, and I find myself yelling at the dumb computer voice throwing errors my way every time I touch the thing.I wish I stuck with the iRobot vacuum systems I was familiar with instead of trying to “upgrade”. The only thing increased was price and frustrations. Love yourself enough to choose something else!

I absolutely love this vacuum/mop robot. This thing has made keeping my house clean with 4 dogs. It is vastly better than my cheap one I had before. The price point is pretty high but we happened to get it at a steep discount due to it being on sale plus open box. My very few complaints would be that it won’t vacuum and mop at the same time on carpet. You have to remove the mop pads for it to go on the carpet to clean and put them back on after the carpeted areas are done. I’d have loved to have a machine that automatically shuts off the mop pads when on carpet then turns them back on again when done. Also I’d love to be able to use aftermarket cleaner as opposed to the Deebot brand cleaning solution that is also pretty expensive. Maybe if they programmed it to respond to “Ok Deebot” instead of “Ok Yiko” it may pick up our voices better. And lastly the bottom of the station gets very dirty after about a week with dirt from the mop pads. Not a big deal at all but some minor adjustments could make it better. Overall though this robot is super smart and the features it does have are amazing. It does an excellent job of accurately mapping our whole house and keeps all the areas very clean. I have mine programmed to run every light at midnight so it’s not irritating my dogs lol. The camera function is pretty cool to be able to use to spy on them though when we aren’t home and can’t see them on the in house cameras. An added bonus is that the top of the robot is tall enough that it won’t fit under our couch and get itself stuck like our previous one. Overall I’d totally recommend this robot if you can afford it. Pretty sweet device though.

I sent it to do a mapping run. It took roughly 15 minutes. I was shocked and couldn't belive it, I thought for sure it didn't do a good job mapping seeing as the Roomba J7+ took 45 minutes for the same space. I opened the app and sure enough it mapped the entire area correctly! The lidar scanner really does amazing things. The vacuuming job it does is on par with the J7+. But out of the box the X1 Omni does better at obstacle avoidance. You can actively see it notice am object and go around it. I also find that X1 Omni hits less walls and furniture legs. While I would hear the J7+ constantly clunk against walls, furniture legs and other stationary objects. I hardly ever hear the X1 Omni do it.The moping function for the X1 Omini is good, the rotating pads do a good job scrubbing the floor. You are only using water for this moping function as it recommends not to add cleaner ( so you don't clog the lines). But through some research I found out Ecovacs is releasing a cleaning soultion you can pour in your water tank that will work with their system. It is on pre order the date that I write this with a release date in a weeks time. The base of the X1 Omni cleans the mop pads and even air drys them so in a few hours after moping the pads are dry.The X1 Omni has a viewable camera so you can either watch it vacuuming or you can use it as a roving security camera ( which you can control its movements remotely from your phone or tablet). The robot does give a audible warning that the camera is being viewed externally. One feature unique to the X1 Omni is its own dedicated voice assistant. It will talk to you about what the robot needs when it needs help or returning yo empty itself. With the onboard voice assistant you can actually call to the X1 Omni to come to you and clean up a mess that happen close to you. It will leave it's doc and come find you and clean the mess for you. While I gave this a 5 out of 5 overall I do have two minor complaints. First one is the fact you have to take off the mop pads to go on carpet. Would have been nice for it to lift the pads but it's not the end of the world. The other minor complaint is the app. The IRobot app is very user friendly and easy to navigate. The Ecovacs app you need to take more time to get used to it. Once you get used to the app it allows for more control over the robot. It even shows you exactly where the robot is during its cleaning cycle. Allows you to pick one of three clean or mop settings. Allows for you to tell the robot to mop only ( normal mop function it vacuumes at the same time).

I bought it on sale largely because of positive reviews, but was skeptical myself. Well after two weeks, I’m convinced. The good: it really does mop / vacuum the hardwood floors very well. Much better than I expected. The vacuuming the carpets is good but it doesn’t seem to do a complete job under the beds. Nevertheless, it vacuums very well. I love the way it basically does it own maintenance - emptying itself, cleaning the pads, refill with clean water. The video works very well too. The Bad: The app has some unfortunate limitations. It doesn’t work well on iPads (only iPhones). This makes setting up a map of the furniture harder than it should be. As well, the instructions are very weak. Lots of things you just have to play with and figure them out. I watched all ... MoreI bought it on sale largely because of positive reviews, but was skeptical myself. Lots of things you just have to play with and figure them out. I watched all the videos (they are not on the Canadian web site, only the American one) and that helped a lot. Much of what is online does not apply to the Deebot Omni model so be careful. For example, once you’re in “housekeeper mode” don’t expect to be changing modes… but then again, you don’t have to. The last minor drawback is that to do a complete vacuuming of both hardwood, tile and carpet you have to remove the mopping disks. That’s pretty minor though. Overall, this is a great product and I am very happy (after two weeks - if it breaks in a month, I’ll be back!(.
We like others were influenced by the possibility to have the automated floor cleaner. The first clean was perfect as was the following three cleans,(we have had the unit since xmas 2022) but after that this unit does what ever it wants. It stops in open areas and just sits there till we go looking for it and realise it’s just not doing anything at all. The areas it mapped out are not being cleaned as good as they should be, it tangles itself around phone charging cables which we always lift off the floor but sometimes forget. The camera fails to connect 95% of the time which makes it worthless. The commands it shouts out you can’t hear 90% of the time unless it’s directly under your feet. The software/app is impossible to work with, as is the mapping feature and the feature that allows you to create zones, which doesn’t work. This means that every clean started is a full house clean not a zone clean. The call on demand feature has never worked except for one time when she was called by the TV. The voice activation has never worked and I fail to see the point of it if it doesn’t recognise any voices. It was a wasted purchase which was not cheap, the inside of the unit where the cleaner parks itself get full of water which is disgusting to clean. It’s more work then having a toddler around the house. Don’t buy this particular unit. Don’t believe what the marketing team tell you see the reviews from people who spent their hard earned money and give real reviews.
I absolutely love my Ecovacs Deebot. I've used the T8 for years and have recently upgraded to the X1 Omni. The suction power is stronger whilst being quieter, i love that the deebot will mop a room then go back to its dock to clean the mop pads before moving on to the next room. The mop on this device is much better than other models in that way that it scrubs in a circular motion rather than dragging itself along the floor. It won't get stubborn stains but use 3-4 times per week and it will cut out a lot of maintenance time for you. The app makes it easy to customize your floor plan however you like and set the robo to clean certain areas or rooms, or to clean at allocated times. The device is quite large and you have to allow quite a lot of space on each side of ... MoreI absolutely love my Ecovacs Deebot. I love that you can connect it to your smart home speakers so you can voice control where you'd like your deebot to clean. Pretty pricey but worth the upgrade if the mopping is a higher priority as it's far better than the other models for that reason.
I felt like I needed to review this, to help boost what this product is. It seems lots of purchasers for this product believe it is a robotic maid from the JetsensIt is not that! No would should ever purchase this with that in mind!!!HOWEVER, it is a phenomenal piece of technology that is SO fun to use. We have it on our main floor with no rugs. Have had my Deebot X1 OMNI for over 6 months now and overall, I would rate it highly, however, minor flaws have caused me to give it a 4 star rating.Quality: Modern design, slightly bulky dock, but this is due to the water tanks for both dirty and clean water, as well as the vaccumm bag and accessories. I wanted a complete hands free robot, so thats what i got. That being said, it isn't an eye sore. The app is easy to use, setup is a breeze and the ability to change mopping and vaccumm functions IE amount of water, vaccumm suction power and whether you want a simple or deep clean is an awesome feature. Accessories are relatively cheap and if you make an account on their website you will accru monetary credits for every clean you do. Accessories are relatively cheap and if you make an account on their website you will accru monetary credits for every clean you do. Thus making the accessories even cheaper. The video manager has flaws, you need to be on your own local WIFI for it to work, and it lags really bad. Mine does anyway. I haven't bothered to try fix it as I don't use the function. The YIKO voice activation is extremely hard to use, that being said they are now rolling out third part voice activation for Google and Alexa etc. The only other thing I would add for quality is that, these things aren't meant to stop. What do I mean by that. If you go on a holiday for anything over 3-5 days, I would suggest at lease getting it to do a minor clean while your away. Because any excess water that has accumulated in the pump will dry and if there is debris it will harden and block the pipes. Which happened to mine. A simple flush fixed the problem however. If you run into any problems with this thing, a simple reset is all it needs. Yes it's a hassle to have to remap your surrounds, but it's better then losing the machine for a month while they investigate a simple fault.
I had a iRobot i7+ for 3 years and was looking for something betterI was excited about the specs of this one but I had to return it because of three major malfunctions:1- the robot refuses to operate because of a so called dirty anti-drop sensors! I cleaned them like 10 times and no luck... I googled it and found a video from one of the company tech support guys and he said "yes this can happen with this device, at some point the water could go in the anti-drop sensors and then rust gets in there so you have to replace them". This was not my case but I found it crazy that the water coming from the device itself could ruin the sensors like this!2- at some point I was able to make the robot works despite the anti-drop sensor malfunction. But at the end the robot ... MoreI had a iRobot i7+ for 3 years and was looking for something betterI was excited about the specs of this one but I had to return it because of three major malfunctions:1- the robot refuses to operate because of a so called dirty anti-drop sensors! But at the end the robot tried to find the home receptacle but no luck, it went in circle in front of the home without detecting it properly... It just couldn't detect it.3- I forced the robot to get in the home receptacle but it couldn't connect with it so the battery was never able to recharge itself... The robot just died...I lost about 4-5 hours with this bad purchase. Maybe I was just very unlucky with this specific item but still, knowing that the anti-drop sensors would eventually stop working because of the own water coming from the device just scares me so I will not try to buy this item again! Bad conception guys!
