I have been an avid Netgear Orbi user for years, but the system always left multiple deadzones around my 6500 square foot home. I was tempted to upgrade to the Orbi 9700 system, but the steep price combined with my experience of my Orbi systems struggling to maintain stable speeds gave me reason for pause. While $1500+ for a 3 pack Eero 7 system is still pricey, Eero’s reputation for stable signal speeds inspired me to take the plunge. Setup was a breeze and I now no longer have any dead spots nor speed degradation from room to room. The price for the system is overkill for my usage case; however, the peace of mind to have entire home coverage will pay for itself over the next 5yrs.

The max 7's boosted our range and wired Into the one in my room that's upstairs and furthest point away from the modem, I now get 1.669 gb/s which makes downloading anything so fast. I honestly am in awe how fast my I teener is now

Ive confirmed from the company from multiple sources that the dont know why its not designed to use all of the port speed. Bottomline if you get 8gbe, or 9gbe speeds EERO is happy, my point is call it an 8gbe port or a 9gbe port, or just think when you design hardware and if you put a 10gbe port in it, design it to fully support 10gbe speeds. What a dumb design.. My advice go look at the TPLink or Orbi 970 comparable versions until Amazon Eero wakes up.

Excellent coverage both inside and around the house. Very easy to install - even for a tech dummy like myself . We would highly recommend this. We are able to have dozens of devices connected with no lag. Was pricey but imho - definitely worth it. Will save us a lot of aggravation and headaches for sure.

You can have the satellite units (which are technically identical to the main router) wired or wireless. If you use wired ethernet to connect the other units, make sure you wire the other two units "downstream" of the main router unit.As with previous Eero products, these are very, very easy to set up. They use an app for everything and it uses the amazon cloud to provide continual data about your network that works the same regardless of if you're at home or not. You can see how much data each device is using and set various parental controls if desired. The app is well designed and easy to use. There aren't as many advanced wifi options as some expert users might want, but for those who want an easy option that works well, Eero is great. They are incredibly reliable and the max 7 appears to be no different.My main complaint about Eero systems have to do with the subscription to Eero plus. I used to have a $3/month one from them that provided extra functionality such as ad-blocking and other protections as well as more detailed data consumption and analytics. They had a $10/month tier as well which adds things such as 1password and a VPN service. Sadly, Eero discontinued the $3 tier and you now have to pay the $10/month even if you never want to use 1password or the other services. I wish Eero would bring back a cheaper subscription tier which doesn't have the extra services most won't use.For most users, the max 7 is overkill. If you have gig speeds or less, the pro 6 or pro 6e is good at a much lower price. But for those with a super fast fiber connection looking for an easy to use friendly app based wifi system, look no further.
Very fast and easy to set up. It works twice as fast as Orbi 770. I tried both systems in the exact same locations using the exact same app to measure speeds. I am finally getting the gigabit speeds that I am paying for with better range. The Orbi 770 was disappointing as it barely faster than my Orbi 753 system. Eero is much easier to set-up and doesn't have the firmware issues that Orbi had. The security subscription includes 1Password and VPN which is an enchancement over Orbi. Eero is a superior system with a similar price to Orbi 770 when on sale
I upgraded my wifi from the Eero 6 Pro and it made a huge difference. My scores more than doubled using this new router. Set up was extremely simple. I had all three set up within 10 minutes. Thankfully, I was able to purchase it when it was on sale ($400 off). These routers are definitely ahead of its time but if you have very fast internet and have any WI-FI 7 devices, you will love it. Otherwise, wait for the prices to drop and until you have and WI-FI 7 devices.
We ugraded from eero pro 6 to eero max 7 and the results are incredible. We have 115 online devices and my son likes to play games on play station, xbox, and gaming pc. We have all three eeros hard wired and i am getting on my iphone 15 pro 940 download and 925 upload speeds wirelessly. Our hard wired devices are getting 980 download and 980 upload. We have AT&T fiber 1000 plan. We had been waiting for the eero max 7 since it was announced back in the summer. You won’t be disappointed amd the ease to set up and headache free. Out of 50 or so only 6-7 connected and another 3-4 popped up an hour later. Few popped up after I power cycled them but this was huge pain. I was still debating if I just want to return it and not go through the hassle of unplugging all bulbs and resetting up smart plugs second issue happened. The second issue just made me not want to deal with it at all and just accelerated it. For devices this expensive they shouldn't have these kind of software issues. i can do speed test but router won't connect to anything online? That was the weirdest experience i ever had.
