I didn't quite trust the reviews claiming this is the blade that should have come with the 21 inch mower, boy was I happy to be wrong. With the leaves starting to fall, I was quickly disappointed with the stock blade with it constantly skipping even the largest of leaves so I got this blade. Skipped leaves no longer! It even takes care of the grass that occasionally gets skipped. I will say that the factory blade is a bear to get off, have a breaker bar or impact wrench handy. I also don't know why it says to not use it for mulching. I only mulch and didn't have a problem. I also experienced a slightly shorter battery life with this blade. I have the 7.5ah battery for my ~1/3 acre backyard and I had previously never seen the low battery indicator. The blade that comes with the EGO mowers does not create enough uplift to cut the grass which is knocked down by the wheels. A day after mowing you end up with narrow rows of taller grass. The High-Lift blade takes care of this problem. This blade should be standard on all EGO mowers.I am very happy with this purchase. The ACE website made it very easy to order and it was delivered to the storeIn a short time.

If you have an Ego 56 Volt, 21" Lawn Mower, this blade is essential. Especially if you bag your grass trimmings, this blade dramatically improves lift/vacuum while mowing. Even if you don't bag the grass cuts much cleaner because it lifts the grass better. I highly recommend this Blade. One Tip: the threads on the Ego Blade Bolt are NORMAL threads, not reverse threads like most mowers.

I bought the regular blade in store and it was the worst blade to bag clippings. It wasn't the mulching blade it was just a generic junk blade - but in the thicker parts of lawn would have to go over 3-4 times to get as much of the clippings as possible and to cut all the grass. I ordered this because I hated the other blade - and it's a 150% better. I only have to go over an area 1 time (it still misses cutting some grass blades, but I'll deal with that) and it collects clippings like a dream. Previously, cutting the grass would fill the bag 3-4 times, this blade fills the bag at least 7-8 times.

This is the blade that should just be sold with all EGO lawn mowers in the first place! Love everything about my EGO LM with only one exception......it does a horrible job of lifting cut grass off the lawn. Was so excited when I found this after market blade specifically designed to create extra vacuum suction lift. WHAT an improvement! If you are lawnmower "green" but are tired of seeing clipping stripes after you're done mowing, this is your fix. Now lawn looks great after a fresh mow without having to go back afterwards and clean up the dead grass clipping stripes.....well worth the $25!
As far as cutting the grass, the blade works well. The issue is that this replacement blade design does not allow for good mulching, which requires multiple passes to mulch the clippings. Unlike the original blade that comes with the mower, this blade is flat and solid, and this particular Ego mower does not have enough vacuum for a flat blade to mulch.
Bought a mower touted tobe a mulcher and bagger.Cut was uneven and irregular. Called EGOas they have no email access and was told to buy another blade(25.00) and problem would be fixed. Mower cuts more even but will not mulch. Am fed up with this whole deal. My old Toro bagged and mulched for 15 years, was lighter and worked perfectly.
This blade definitely picks up more than the standard blade. Ran it over the seed hulls from my bird feeders and it removed way more than the standard blade. Also seemed to remove much more of last year's zoysia than the standard blade. Must have if you bag your clippings.
I had incorrectly ordered the two blade pack. When I went to install the 'kit', I realized my error and got this blade instead. After installing it, it worked very nicely.My 'factory' blade seemed to be leaving grass clippings on the lawn instead of moving them into the bag. This one leaves a very clean lawn. My neighbor has the 'same' mower and still uses the original blade. All I have to do it look at his lawn to be reminded why I purchased this blade.It can be a little difficult to get real tight. I did install/tighten and then would mow for a minute or two and check the blade to see if it needed to be tighter.
