Ego CSX3000 56V 300mm (12") 20m/s Commercial Top-handle Brushless Chainsaw - Skin Only

This is an amazing top handle chainsaw. Battery life is phenomenal with the 5ah battery. The battery holster is amazing, and it makes the saw extremely light and easy to work with up in the trees. It’s also compatible with a 14” and a 16” bar. Motor is strong and starts and stops instantly when engaged/disengaged. With a CH5500 charger, I am able to cut continuously, as a 2nd 5ah battery is fully charged long before the time the 1st one needs to be recharged.

Good saw overall, plenty of power, light weight and good performance from the 4ah battery. Downside is the lack of ability to use the saw with the battery pack fitted directly rather than being tethered. This oversight renders the saw almost useless for groundwork when you need to put the saw on the ground intermittently rather than having it hanging on the harness (which I often take off if I'm working on the ground). It would have been great if the option of direct battery connection could have been incorporated at the design stage. The additional safety switch is also a bit of a pain in use and offers no meaningful advantage if the chain break is used appropriately. Love all my Ego products with the exception of the chainsaw. I have youtubed it to death, have lots of oil in and cannot get it to cut. I called customer service (live in London Ontario) and asked where I can take it for service but they will not give me name of repair place because I cannot provide proof of purchase. Bought it about a year ago from Lowes. Does Lowes do repairs or is there another way to find approved repair shop.
