As with any large purchase I make, I did a lot of research on battery lawn mowers both through reviews and YouTube videos. One common thing that stood out was the positive feedback on Ego mowers. I was comparing similar options from Makita, AEG and DeWalt(which is the battery ecosystem I am in with other tools). For the most part the sticking points were cut quality, ease of use and battery life. For the most part, most negative reviews from these mowers all came back to batteries not lasting the entire mow. So far I have mowed my 130ish square metre, fescue yard about 3 times and still have 4 of 5 bars of battery life showing and the results are excellent. All I can say is, spend the little bit extra on EGO and you won’t be disappointed.

Great machine , easy to maneuver , even when not using the self drive option . We are mowing a 24m x 12m lawn of kikuyu grass , 3 mows to 1 charge using the catcher

I've had the mower now for just over 1 month. It is so easy to use and does such a great job. My section is around 350m2 so not a big one. The 42" blade is wide enough, but wouldn't go any smaller or you will find yourself going up and down the lawn too many times. I have used the self propel an a slight bak incline that I ha e. - it's awesome!!
