At first I thought what a ridiculous product. Then while working with the pole saw and hedge trimmer for an extended period I thought to give it a shot. It takes a lot of strain off and it allows me more precise cuts for a longer period of time. Highly recommend.

I received this strap with my purchase of the EGO Model ST1620T carbon fiber shaft trimmer. Used it 5 times (residential) and the stitching at the buckle came apart, contacted EGO but they said poor craftmanship on there part is not covered on accessory straps. Purchased at Lowes on 04/30/2022

Only used it once. Still getting used to it. Has a tendency to slip off shoulder, so I put in on my other shoulder. Definitely consider getting if your battery is 5 AMP or higher. The extra weight of the larger batteries will cause arm and back pain if used for an extended period of time without the strap.

This is a very good product, well padded and sewed at the right points. I've used other string trimmer straps and they were not nearly as effective as this. Really a must if you are using an EGO string trimmer.
Though this is great idea for those of us who carry our trimmers (weed eaters) around the yard and that EGO is a great brand, this item falls short. After adjusting and attaching the nylon strap to carry the trimmer/weed eater, the padding part for your shoulder just moves, slides, and slips around. It’s annoying. It would be great if it would just stay in place with a stopper of some kind and also not be so incredibly stiff. The price is decent for this item and the quality is good, but the padding part design needs some further work.
The instructions didn’t advise on how best to use the product. The strap constantly slips off the right shoulder when in use. I will try placing the strap over my neck next time. Lowes shipped the product in a 1.5 cubic foot box with plastic air bubble padding: excessive expenditure of logistics cost for such a small, soft item.
This is essential to have on your weed eater. It evens out the weight and allows for longer work time and keeps the timer at the required angle. It makes using the ego & yard work effortless.
Would have liked a pic on how to route the strap, but I figured that out easily enough. The pics were fine as far as assembling the strap to the string trimmer. It makes it much easier to use the trimmer for a longer period :) - so much so that now I need to get an extra battery! :(
I recently purchased this EGO trimmer strap to go with the EGO trimmer. Was using it for the 1st time, just a day after receiving it, about 2.5 hours into use and all was good, no issues, but around the 3rd hour the stitching came undone where the fastener clip is and all the trimmer's weight fell into my hands. The stitching quality is extremely poor. I called EGO and they couldn't easily replace it and instead told me to go to Lowe's and exchange it. Checked my local Lowe's and surrounding locations and none of them have it. I ordered it online along with the trimmer and trimmer line for free shipping and to save on my personal use of gasoline. EGO was absolutely no help! Love their equipment; however, their accessories are not of the same quality.
After about five hours of use the strap fell apart make it unusable. The stitching came undone where it loops around the fastener clip. Poor stitching job. Lowes would not replace and EGO would not replace (said they have no warranty on accessories). Frustrated with poor quality and disappointed that neither Lowes nor EGO would resolve. Obvious flaw and a waste of $22 and the time to purchase
