It's leaf season and I've been using it now for a few weeks. I find it very handy to just grab it for blowing leaves or grass off the cement driveway, patio and sidewalk. When it's a nice smooth surface it works well and is very controllable. Works fairly well moving a light amount of leaves a little ways across the grass. However when there are a lot of leaves or they need to be blown a ways across the lawn I need to grab the gas backpack blower or I would be at it for hours if not all day. The blower also struggles to get the leaves out from around shrubs, again the backpack is needed. I would say it is not nearly as good as my old small gas hand held blower. On the positive side the battery last fairly long unless turbo is used and the battery charges pretty fast. It is pretty heavy with the battery, but the shoulder strap helps. I am keeping the blower as it is a really good electric broom for the driveway and patio. Just really expensive. I would not recommend it to someone for serious leaf work or a large yard where they want to blow the leaves a long ways.

Great blower for yards that just need a somewhat light to medium blow off weekly. If you are wondering witch EGO blower to buy the 765 cfm is the one to get. I own the 765 cfm and the 650 cfm and the 765 is very nice to use with only the trigger for more of the time and not using the turbo boost button. The 650 cfm you will use the turbo button all the time for any real leaf blowing. My only issue is the extremely high price for a great blower that you can only use for 15 to 25min at a time. For the price it should come with another battery. This blower has performed just as designed. It does do everything that is advertised but on a truly usable setting for a yard with serious leaves it does not last long. My yard is 3 tenths of an acre and really only half of that needs to be blown off weekly but it will take two to three charges every time I need to do this (full charges take over an hour). You can use a lower setting to blow the leaves off and it will last longer up to 45 min for me but in that amount of time you will only blow off about the same amount of leaves if you use the turbo setting and get it done in 15 minutes. If you have serious leaves then be patient with this blower and change your routine to blow at a slower speed, take longer and still wait for a charge OR buy additional batteries at an overpriced cost (might as well buy another blower for how much you pay for another single 5.0 Ah battery) OR just stick with a large gas blower for a lower cost until EGO can really get the battery powered runtime even close to similar. I personally need a blower that will run an hour or slightly longer at close to full speed but every yard is different. Saying that, I am mostly happy with this blower for now and can make due with it's short comings. I like many others are wondering about longevity. Hopefully this blower and battery will last for 10 + years like my gas powered blowers in the past but I am only expecting about 5 years after reading nearly all the reviews.

To sum it up this is close to perfection; the only strike against it is its high price though I am not aware of anything with a lower price that matches this blower's performance and ease of use.Originally I didn't plan on buying this model but all the ones below it have controls that can, to varying degrees, potentially cause frustration during long sessions especially if switching between arms regularly. This one seems to have benefitted from the manufacturer addressing the shortcomings of the speed controls of the other models that came out before it. Speed can be controlled using either a trigger or a cruise control wheel. The wheel on this one is mounted in such a way that it can be accessed with the thumb of either the left or the right hand. Good work. For me, the extra money spent was not for the power or even the shoulder strap, which is not needed by the way if you grasp the blower with one leg in one hand and the handle in the other, or with one hand grasping the handle, alternating hands over time. I don't think any of the other models would allow this. Battery performance is as expected and run time for me is not limited to the capacity of the battery that comes with this unit. I have a mower and chainsaw which both came with 5ah batteries so I was happy to get another device with a 5ah battery. The extra power of this model is a bonus but not usually needed. I tried using it to clean gutters that are inaccessible due to a 16-foot-long greenhouse attached to the wall underneath. I previously used a long telescoping pole but it was a long and unpleasant affair. With the blower going from either end up a step ladder I can have this job done in well under 5 minutes using the turbo function to get to the very middle in between, 8 feet from either end, though it does of course blow the contents of the gutter wherever it wants to.This device with its great power also seems well suited to the unlikely role of electric turbo for anyone inclined to rig one up to their small-engined car.

As a commercial property manager, I bought this for work for the convenience of not having to need a power source, which I don't always have on some properties. I was "blown away" (see what I did there) by the output of this blower. When I got it home I checked the EGO specs against a corded blower I have had for years, my corded blower says it's rated to 235 mph. It would barely move rocks in a landscape area I have, when I used the EGO on the same spot, it blew all the rocks out! The EGO says it's rated for 200 mph, but it felt like 300 mph... and that's not even using the Turbo button on the EGO.. which feels like 350 mph! This is honestly my new favorite tool. I love the convenience of just pulling it out of the truck and start working, I also love having the ... MoreAs a commercial property manager, I bought this for work for the convenience of not having to need a power source, which I don't always have on some properties. I love the convenience of just pulling it out of the truck and start working, I also love having the strap attachment to help with walking around the properties taking the load off my forearm, but it also made it convenient to throw on my back and climb up ladders onto roofs to blow leaves off around the drains and roof membrane. I also love the variable speed trigger, making it easy to quickly adjust the air volumn when you don't quite need so much. It also has an adjustable auto switch with different volumn settings you can turn to run air and not have to hold the trigger the whole time. The battery seems to last long, I guess unless you run it on Turbo the whole time, and the battery charges pretty quickly. I already have experience with the EGO brand as I have owned the EGO 56V lawn mower for a couple years now and love it. It was a no brainer to go with the EGO brand again for the blower over other brands.

The dial works well and comes in handy when you don't want to keep the trigger pressed. I do not like the placement of the dial, however, as it can sometimes get engaged accidentally. Better placement or a shrouding nub on the housing should have been considered.I like the turbo feature. The placement of the turbo button at the top of the handle, however, is not ergonomic. If you prefer the trigger, you have to keep it pressed to engage the turbo button. This requires you to rotate your thumb from the side of the handle to engage the turbo button; this weakens your grip and causes strain on your hand. A turbo button mounted on the side of the handle instead of the top, would have been more ergonomic. However, a button on the side of the handle would have made the turbo button right-hand or left-hand biased, so I understand the decision to place it at the top. The turbo button is easy to use in conjunction with the dial. With the 5ah battery included, this blower is heavy. However, it comes with a shoulder strap that works quite well. I appreciate the inclusion of a shoulder strap in the kit because the Ego Line IQ trimmer that I bought didn't include one.
I bought this to supplement my 1000 CRM gas powered backpack blower which is not needed for cleanup after routine lawn mowing. The backpack blower is great for fall weather where I have to move piles of leaves, and it does an amazing job.The EGO blower has good power, but my concern has been with its weight and balance. I had to use the provided shoulder strap to prevent my arm from hurting after a little use. I also bought this blower so my kids could help me with yard work and cleanup tasks. It’s fun for them to use it for a minute or two, but anything longer, it becomes a heavy tool to carry around.I also have a 7.5AH battery from my Ego snowblower. Happy with my blower combo purchase and look forward to using it as my primary blower over my corded electric and gas backpack blowers. Main driver behind my purchase was I started getting into the EGO ecosystem and needed another battery, so this was the next most logical tool/combo to add for the price. The big caveat/elephant in the room is that this blower, using the turbo button, can keep up with my gas backpack blower…for about 8-10 minutes before the battery is dead. Make sure to read all the product literature and watch reviews first about run times and battery life if you haven’t already. I knew this going into the purchase, so isn’t an issue, as I’ll continue using my gas backpack blower for those 3 or 4 times a year I need to blow constantly for 1.5-2 ... MoreHappy with my blower combo purchase and look forward to using it as my primary blower over my corded electric and gas backpack blowers. I knew this going into the purchase, so isn’t an issue, as I’ll continue using my gas backpack blower for those 3 or 4 times a year I need to blow constantly for 1.5-2 hours straight to manage all the leaves on our property. The ergonomics of the backpack blower win hands down in that use case as well. For everything else, from blowing off decks, patios, driveways and walkways, gutters, drying cars, blowing out the garage, you name it, I love this EGO blower. It’s probably been my favorite EGO tool purchase so far that gets the most use. Definitely pick up a stubby/short nozzle from the aftermarket if using to blow dry cars; works very well. The quiet vs. the gas blower is wonderful and not having to fight with cords on the electric has been welcomed. I expect the EGO will force the retirement of my corded electric blower unless it’s leaf season and my backpack blower is out of service. The power is definitely fantastic and it’ll blow wet sand/rocks when needed, and the jet sounds of turbo mode will surely bring a smile to your face. A solid 4.5 stars from me. Hopefully future iterations will shed some weight from the battery without a run time penalty and the motors can continue to be made more powerful in the same form factor and size. Only downsides I’ve seen so far is I wish the blow tube attached on two sides to make it more secure feeling vs just the one, and if there was a secondary handle/grip option in front of the main handle like a lot of corded blowers offer. While the EGO base on the 765 functions as a secondary handle and I use it often, it would feel more natural having one in this location when using the blower for added control.
Powerful. If you don’t want it to move… don’t aim it at the object. 1 star is missing because you cannot use this blower with the gutter blow out kit. The nozzles do not interchange. I understand it needs to move more air than the 650 cfm, and increasing the size of the tubing helps to accomplish this. I get it. An adapter would be great to accomplish this. There are two nozzles to slide onto the end; one is round, the other is to flare out the airflow. This nozzle is a love/hate relationship. For all the gravel I have around the house it is great! It is not so great on the driveway which can reach 25-30 feet across. Even in Turbo that nozzle will not move debris far enough across the drive to eliminate multiple passes. The flared nozzle on the 650 will blast it ... MorePowerful. The flared nozzle on the 650 will blast it across in turbo. Solution: make a flared nozzle equivalent to the 650 cfm nozzle and allow us to purchase it. That would give us 3 nozzles to specifically target our needs and do the job most efficiently. The 300 watt charger is an improvement over the previous 200 watt shipped with other blowers. Great blower just needs a couple of pieces of equipment made to adapt to the customers needs. The new 5 amp battery is long lasting even under turbo loads.
We have had a couple 20v battery powered blowers over the last 10 years. We typically use a gas backpack blower at the height of fall when the leaves really pile up for the power and long runtimes but this year we added EGO 765 and wow does ot really move the leaves and debris and can almost compete with our gas blower. The runtime is much better than our other battery blowers, we used to get between 8 to 16 mins on a battery (we track runtime by writing the minutes on the battery) , the EGO765 with the included 5.0aH battery we are seeing runtimes averaging around 20-25 mins (running at max speed), and I am sure if I ran it a bit slower (blower has variable speed) it would still easily move the leaves and runtimes would likely extend to 30 mins or more. There is ... MoreWe have had a couple 20v battery powered blowers over the last 10 years. I did not consider the weight before purchasing, but sort of expected it might be on the heavy side with a 5.0ah battery,I am a big guy and right out of the box noticed the weight in my hands. Now the blower does come with a nice sling so you can help support the weight on your shoulder and not just in your forearm, I would definitely recommend to attach and use the sling especially If you know your going to likely run the blower until the battery empties. It took me a few minutes to adjust how I was holding the blower with the sling so the sling had most of the weight and once I figured that out it really helped, but if you have sore or weak shoulders and arms be sure to take the weight into consideration before purchasing. Yes we could always go to a smaller battery but you then sacrifice those longer runtimes.
While helping a friend installing sofit and siding work I used his EGO 765 for cleanup. I was impressed so I looked at these thru Lowes and purchased the blower, battery and charger combo. Here is my experience with this blower.Pluses............. Although a bit pricy, the blower does have better, cleaner blowing power than my Stihl BG86 gas blower. I do like the turbo speed when needed. It moves debris with power.Minuses.............The caveat with all outdoor battery powered equipment is time until drained. I learned soon that the 5Amp Hour battery supplied with the combo kit is decent if you don't use in turbo mode much. If your job requires using the turbo mode, expect 15 minutes of use time to drain. Regular mode is more efficient.Solution................... I purchased a second (after market) 5 Amp Hour battery so I can use one as the other is charging. This seems to have provided ample time required for all my fall leaf cleanup.Summary.............. I purchased this EGO blower because to replace my BG 86Stihl gas blower now 11 years old, I would have to spend $400. The EGO blower kit with my military veteran’s discount and a second 5 AMP Hour battery (After market) I invested about $423. I felt that the additional $23 when all was said and done was a better purchase for the ease of use of a battery-operated powerful blower. One suggestion to the EGO engineers………………… If this blower is used for any length of time as I used it, the blower is rear heavy and would be less stressful on the arm if the handle was more center placed for better balance and less arm strain. Over all a nice yard tool😎
