Bought to replace a 200w aqua one. Appreciate this uses less power. Pleased that it heats water to a constant temp. Although I am using it in a 160 litre tank, so you’d hope so. Happy with purchase, but have only used for about 3 weeks.

I replaced an Aqua One heater with this and has no effort in heating and maintain the temperature in my African Cichlid tank (400L). Calibration is easy (make sure you have a proper thermometer in the tank and start low) and adjust the dials. Has an on/off light so its easy to know when its operating. Whats more - techden dispatched on the same day and I received it the next day! Awesome price and fast shipping!

I have had others but i feel the Germans have better products. I run all Ehiem Jager TruTemps in my fish room. I only had them for about a year so i guess i cant talk about long term durability yet. Problems with other brands is that they stay on 100% of the time and never shut off but maybe these will do the same over time. Time will tell.
Had 2 in a 1500l system one in the sump and one in the tank it struggled to get the temp up to 26-27 deg and were on most of the time.Also had 1 running a 700l 3ft rack and was on 95% of the time and over night it would drop 1-2 deg. I over compensated with the heaters as well and they don't seem to be doing the job.I have used eheim before and very happy withthe one that I have.I have 1 in a 880l tank and it is hardly ever on.
I Purchased a Eheim thermo control 300w beginning off the year unfortunately has stopped working. Very disappointed. Not what I would expect from Eheim considering the price.
