I chose this product because it os predominantly recycled material.It is not a robust material and the edges are particularly fragile. It becomes much less stiff in direct sun.The standard clips only come in packs of 250 @ $120 not much good if you only need 20. To be fair i contacted ecodeck and they will send them free although that remains to be seen and i can not complete the project untill i have the standard clips. Given how soft the product becomes in sun, i imagine it will scuff very easily. I would not recommend it to anyone. Timber will give you a better result it seems. Dissapointed on every front.

Installed this product next to my pool and you could fry an egg on it on a hot day. I have to hose down the area to cool it off before the kids can walk on it. I have also noticed that it expands and contracts considerably depending on the weather. Good concept as it was easy to install/maintain but I could not recommend it.

This product show scratches very easily. The slightest scratch from moving a chair shows up. After a review from eco deck they say sand it. Which Dulles it and it looks worse and you cannot seal or paint it. I would love to rip it up and go back to timber. I don’t recommend it.

After reviewing many products I kept going back to Ekodeck. It was slightly over my budget, but now that I can see the end result I'm glad I spent a few more dollars. I was able to install this myself with some advice from the team at Bunnings. Product is durable and looks amazing. Will definitely be using it again.
Purchased this product as a replacement for the old treated pine decking. Wanted a good looking, stain resistant (mud and animals mainly) easy to install and long lasting solution. Found Ekodeck plus a winner. Happy with the result. Hard on blades especially jig saw, but worth the final result. I would definitely recommend it. Looking forward to more projects with Ekodeck.
I previously have constructed several decks using hardwood. I found Ekodeck very easy to lay as compared to hardwood. As compared to hardwood no pre-drilling, straightening or spacing required the Ekodeck boards are true and the fixing system simple and easy to use.
Expands and contracts quite a bit. If put on in the sunlight butt joints will be flush and when the boards go into shade there will be a 3mm gap if not more. Some pieces are brittle. The spacers are next to useless holding the boards down some times the screws go right though the plastic.
Fantastic product. Our decking has been down for two years and still looks new. No maintenance required. Really worth the extra money.
I have two deck areas. The first I did with the older ekodeck product and visible screws. The second with these newer style with the ekodeck hidden fixings. I am not convinced the extra cost of the hidden fixing is worth it. And when you use them you can’t just remove and replace one board.
Have been eyeing this off for a while at Bunnings before taking the dive and giving it a go. After reading the reviews I was apprehensive, but having spoken to the Ekodeck team and seeing it in person, especially installed, am very happy we went with it. The Greystone boards look awesome, easy to install and look great. Highly recommend both the product and service from Ekodeck and Bunnings.
