Elchim makes great professional quality hair dryers and styling tools. They are made in Italy, and are one of the best brands on earth. This is the ‘3900 Healthy Ionic’ hairdryer. It is lightweight, and it is very good for your hair. I will be buying more hair styling tools by this brand. It is amazing.

I have owned this hair dryer for about 2 years. It’s very high quality and I have been very pleased with it It has just the perfect amount of power and heat. The video shows the noise level which isn’t loud. It’s fairly light weight. My hair dries fairly quickly. I would highly recommend it

Exceeded my expectations.

I was due for a new blowdryer with the goal in mind to reduce drying time for myself, and narrowed the big multitude of options on the market down to this one and the Dyson Supersonic-but ultimately determined it would be impossible to talk myself into spending $400 on a 1600 watt blowdryer made in Malaysia. This one boasts 30% reduce drying time and I found that it probably actually cut my drying time in half. The hottest heat setting on this dryer doesn't scorch my hair or otherwise make me concerned for the health of my hair unlike every other dryer I've owned, so I switch back and forth between the medium and high heat settings depending on what phase of drying I'm in with a particular section. Love the brand but poorly packed by QVC

I love Elchim and was replacing a hair dryer that lasted well close to 10 years. Disappointed in QVC, though; so giving 3 stars. Buyer beware. Price was good, but took awhile to ship. The box was packed with no padding, and the dryer arrived with the motor broken away from the housing (rattling around). Thank goodness I have a back-up dryer.

Low air pressure

I used to have an Elchim hairdryer, and loved it until it burned out, although that's normal for most hair dryers these days (lasted 2 years). I've been using a GHD brand the last couple of years because I like trying new products, and it has worked well, but decided to try another Elchim again. I'm not sure what it is about this newer model, but the air pressure is so weak. When it's on the high speed, it sounds like the low speed of other dryers. I thought it was a defective one, and took it to the store to exchange for another of the same. Well, it's pretty much the same low airflow. It usually took 10 minutes to dry my fine textured long hair, but with this, it was taking 20+! Even on the highest heat setting, which I usually didn't have to use. Pretty Good!

I have thick, very wavy/S curl hair down to my waist and it usually takes 45-60 mins to dry it with other 2000W professional driers. This dryer dried it in 25 mins and it was super fast, smooth and shiny. First blowdryer ever to still make my hair smell good and not burnt from me tugging on it w/round brushes and w/high heat. I didn't need a flat iron after and it smoothed out my new roots (have the keratin treatment in my hair). The blowout also lasted a very long time. Over a week and I was even sweating when working out and my hair and roots still were straight!Downside is you have to go over sections a few times as although it dries fast, it can still be some left over frizz if you don't really get in there. Still adjusting to it... Good, not amazing

It is definitely quieter and dries hair noticeably faster than my old Revlon dryer -- both qualities I was looking for in a blow dryer; however, it is way heavier than expected, and it quite possibly makes me hair frizzier than the Revlon dryer I used before. However, part of this could just be my poor hair-drying technique. It gets VERY hot (I can only hold it near my scalp for approx. 0.5 seconds before it starts to hurt/burn like crazy) on the hottest setting but has multiple heat settings to choose from. Beautiful/elegant/sexy design. Comfortable handle. The black and gold finishes are both mirrored...gold rim looks a little cheap, but overall the dryer still looks really nice. I especially like the shiny metal/mesh grill on the back. What Happened to My Favorite Blow Dryer?

I’ve been using this Elchim model blow dryer since 2017. I purchased my second one in 2021. I ordered this one in November realizing my 2nd one would probably not last much longer. It blew out today, and I reached for my new one purchased in November from QVC. Aside from the fact that it rattles, it’s much louder… reminiscent of the cheap hair dryers I used in the 80s… it’s not hot enough and the air flow in the low air setting is much too strong making it difficult to style my hair. The cold shot doesn’t do a thing to smooth and shine… Basically, I spent $175 (special sale price since this goes for $220) for a dryer that is as effective as a $40 Conair… except the Conair probably doesn’t rattle. Xtava Black Orchid diffuser fits perfectly

I got this as a birthday present as my first high end dryer and i'm really happy with it. I try not to blow dry my hair more than once a week, and stick to low heat or cool. The special thing about this dryer is that the popular Xtava Black Orchid diffuser for curly / wavy hair fits this nozzle perfectly without any special adjustments / contraptions. I still do keep my Conair Infinity Pro around because my Deva diffuser hand thing fits that skinnier nozzel but not the Elchim chubbier nozzle. The Conair motor has a high-pitched whine and hotter low temp compared to the Elchim. I had no idea higher end dryers were actually worth the money but I believe they are. fast drying isn't so swell

I bought the hot tools charcoal infused one step brush dryer last year & LOVE it. I thought this dryer would be a million times better & waited all year to buy it black Friday. halfway through using this though I kept reaching for my old brush dryer bc this elchim seemed to suck the moisture from my hair leaving it feeling & looking like straw... no shine. I guess faster drying isn't what it's cracked up to be. I read so many reviews & felt hesitant so many said after 6-8 mo's it quit. also when I phoned ulta customer service no one had the same answers about the wattage. the manager said ONLY the yellow one is 2400 watts but the internet says all elchim 3900 dryers are 2000-2400 watts. each time I phoned to get a clear answer everyone had a different answer ... MoreI bought the hot tools charcoal infused one step brush dryer last year & LOVE it.
