A sound purchase but just one tiny annoying thing

Bought this dryer after old one died from old age. Did a bit of research and price checking online and Appliances Online came up with a good price for a reliable, known brand. This dryer does a good job and performs "as advertised". The only (tiny) annoyance is the "anti crease" feature which activates at the end of the drying cycle. Firstly, there is an alarm which quite high pitched and I am not able to hear it due to a hearing disability (I know this is not the manufacturers fault). My wife was shouting at me from the other end of the house (office) to "turn the dryer off!" This alarm can be turned off. Secondly, the "anti crease" function is not able to be turned off. Best dryer I've owned!

I've had the dryer for 3 weeks so can only comment on its use and not reliability. The capacity is great. I especially love the cupboard function which means clothes are very slightly damp where you can fold it without creases. I had it on extra and found that is completely dries the clothes but I don't prefer this cause I don't want my clothes wearing out. For this reason, I love it! The auto sensor I've experienced once where I had it on a 3 hour cycle and came back to find it stopped itself at 2.5hrs Overall for the price and capacity, this is the best dryer on the market. I am so glad I spent the extra money to get this instead of the SOLT one. Highly recommend this dryer.

We finally replaced our aging 6kg Simpson dryer as it was getting noisy and no doubt needed repairs. We wanted a bigger dryer, and after extensive research, settled on this 7kg Electrolux. My last dryer took 2 hours to dry a full load - this dryer only takes 1 hour! I have to admit to not exploring all the options, because the 60 minute function has worked for everything so far. The drum is significantly bigger. And it's soooo quiet! Highly recommended!

Electrolux 9kg dryer
19 May 2022

After checking many reviews I decided to purchase the 9kg from Appliances Online. The price was competitive and my old unit was removed along with the packaging. The dryer easily lends itself to being mounted upside down with the digital readout able to be inverted and a new transfer provided for you to put on. Check the rear vent installation and see if you need to buy the kit. Operation wise it is easy to use just set the time or a mode. The filter is at the front of the unit and easy to clean, there is also a reminder if you let it go. All in all it is a good unit and it was an easy buying experience.

Good Product, Worth its Price
9 September 2022

This dryer was a last minute purchase for the winter. Overall it's been worth the price. The sensor dry actually works very rarely have to run the load for another cycle. The amount of programs this dryer has is great I do alot of mixed laundry and this saves me from sorting the loads. Yet to see how this affects my electricity bills, but the machine is efficient and vented so should be reasonable, especially with all the rain we've been having. Overall I'd rate this a 9 out of 10. 9 because the lint filter fills quickly sometimes needing to be emptied half way through a cycle.

Great value for large family
7 August 2021

This is my second Electrolux dryer I've had. My first was a vented sensor dryer. 12 years, i had it for value for money for my family. I looked at may various types, and models, but on reviews they didn't fit my needs and time requirements. I brought this newer version and I can say. Perfect! I love the various options you can choose and you can visually see the time left. My clothes dry to my optioned specifications and the capacity in which I can load my family of 5s winder clothes. it doesn't produce heaps of vapour steam so that's also a new upgrade to the older version.. For me value for money and workability for a family of 2 adults and 3 teenage kids.

Not satisfied
17 March 2022

I bought this model (Electrolux 7 kg) Sensor Dryer in February 2022 (with extended warranty so as to not repeat my past mistake). This was to replace an Electrolux 6 kg Sensor Dryer that I had bought in 2019, and was a few months out of its 2-year warranty when the drum stopped turning and there was a strange smell of burning plastic (probably the belt). The 7 kg dryer appears to be working well so far - no fault with that. However, its control panel is not properly fitted on the machine and there is a visible gap in-between. It doesn't seem to interfere with its function but doesn't look pretty.I contacted the Good Guys Concierge about this, and because it was within a few days of purchase, I was redirected to contact the store. I simply did not have the time or energy to go through this again. As long as I was able to dry my clothes, I thought I would settle for that. Coincidentally perhaps, in 2019 with my previous 6 kg dryer, I had to contact the store because there was a faulty electronic display which they promptly sent a technician to fix. So my thoughts on Electrolux dryers are that one troublesome machine could have been a random event. Two, to me, is a pattern.

Should’ve upgraded sooner
13 June 2022

After my ancient Fisher and Paykel drier gave up the ghost, I upgraded to the Electrolux. Amazed how much better this is. Good selection of programs for cottons, synthetics etc and the sensor will actively reduce the run time as your load dries and stop when done. No more checking on the dryer! Excellent build quality and the filter is super simple to clean. I use it daily for towels, bedding and clothes for a disabled family member. A life changer.

Terrible dryer
12 September 2022

Terrible dryer, first dryer a lemon, very professional technician spent time trying to get it to work. New dryer arrived. Problem, dryer only worked for10-20 minutes, another technician arrived, spent 15minutes and pronounced "nothing wrong with the dryer" Miraculously timer now working. Dryer takes almost twice as long to dry as our old 14-year-old dryer. Will never buy another Electrolux product

nice dryer
7 November 2021

We had a dryer like this in a different house and really enjoyed it. We like how it tumbles backwards and forwards and the clothes stay loose and do not roll up into a ball. It stops for a breather if it gets hot and has an easy to use dial and press button. Not much to go wrong. The lint filter is at the front and easy to remove and clean. What was an issue was that it took 4 deliveries before we received one from Appliances online that did not have damage to the cabinet. After the 3rd delivery we concluded they must have dropped a whole pallet as they had stoved in backs and dents on each side. We gave permission for one to be unwrapped and checked BEFORE it was delivered - which was against company policy apparently. Interesting business model.
