The COVID19 virus is 0.1 micron (1/10000 th of a mm) so can easily penetrate woven fabrics. Additionally it has two replaceable filters for inhalation and a valve for exhalation that prevents condensation inside the mask. It is classed as a respirator and fits tightly around the face which does make it uncomfortable to wear - penalty for the extra protection

It is a mask that our professional teams use every day and I recommend to everyone: lightweight, comfortable, effective, it replaces wonderfully half masks cartridge when it is question of protection against dust. A care tip to ensure its hygiene: after wearing the mask for a day, consider disinfecting the interior with alcohol. Even if you are an episodic handyman, always prefer this kind of mask to a paper mask, which regularly does not stick to the face and lets pass the dust against which you want to protect yourself.

After having used one of these masks every day for the last 3 years, I decided that it was time to get a new one as the elastic head band had lost its flexibility. Everything else was still as good as the day I bought it. This mask seals very well around the face and does not steam up my glasses even under a polycarbonate full face shield. Can't fault it!

Light and comfortable. Unrestricted cool airflow. Minimum condensation. Better having separate goggles as it's less hassle just lifting the goggles to check your work than pulling a full face mask up or off to do so. No chest irritation like before after using cheap disposable masks. The size and profile of the filters means unrestricted vision and no bulky weight hanging off your face. Very happy with this product.
I am a needle felted & now suffer from a breathing problem. A friend who suffers from the same problem told me about this GVS respirator mask. It works brilliant for me in fact I didn't realise how bad my breathing was until putting this mask on, the air is so much easyer to breath when I'm felting now! I were glasses & the mask fits realy snug so no steaming up.
The mask fulfills its mission perfectly. The only small flat that can be noted; it is the formation of condensation inside the mask without an evacuation system. In itself this is not annoying when you wear the mask but "for hygiene" I prefer to wipe it after prolonged use otherwise the steam stagnates inside.
Needing a reasonably priced respirator mask for a welding job entailing galvanised steel I decided on the ELIPSE SPR337 as it ticked all the boxes and the filters contain active carbon.It fitted well and for the price it was very good and despite occassionally getting the full blast of the burnt zinc there was only a slight trace of the smell.It evidently did it's job as the filters were pretty grubby after two days of cutting, welding and grinding.Yes, it does build up condensation within it which ended up on the shield, but that didn't bother me as there was no trace of the detritus in my nose or back of throat after I had finished.
For the moment, this mask does the job well, I'm waiting to see how quickly the filters have to be changed. Filters, precisely, that I find a little expensive ... to see in use. I would have liked it to be a little bigger, I have a "normal" morphology, I don't have a big head and the mask is a little narrow and short at the level of the chin. If I have to order a new one, I would take one size larger (if it exists).
Brought this initially for cutting, sanding and finishing MDF. Did the job.Then using at work delivering 30 tonnes of polyurothene ash.Massive clouds when tipping it, went through clothing, goggles everything, except the mask. I might not have been able to see much, but I was breathing clear air still.Highly recommended.
I needed a mask when cutting a lot MDF and other wood indoors with a table saw, other powered saws and when sanding. I tried many paper masks and they just don't work. This fits really well, doesn't obstruct vision and stops all the dust as far as I can tell. Works well with safety glasses - other masks I have used cause safety glasses to mist up as some allowed exhaled air upwards towards my glasses and safety glasses. This fits properly around the face so no leaks when inhaling or exhaling - and is comfortable. Worth the money, make sure you order spare filters.
