This little filter has a lot of flow. I didn't like the noise from the air tubing. The flow can be directed, but the air intake does not work efficiently if the water is directed to the surface. It has 4 suction cups. It's easy to take apart. It does not require an air pump. The air tubing has a tip on the end that can adjust how much air flow there is. I definitely like the fact that its the smallest internal filter I've come across that does not require an air pump. I think the flow on minimum will be too much for my nano, if it is, its going on a larger tank as extra circulation. I'm not sure if I would buy this again.

It also has a built in aerator to oxygenate the water which is also adjustable for those wondering what the little tube is with the black thing on the end. Just be sure to leave the aerator above the water line so it can draw air into the pump. If you have a deeper tank you can always put on a longer tube on the for the aerator. I am thinking about getting another one of these filters for my 20 gallon tank and placing it at the bottom to create a current for my Clown Loaches. Great filter. Great value. You can turn down the current with the side button and having the water turned upwards giving it a slight wave effect remember Betta's do not need bubbles and remember the air hose needs to be outside the tank not inside.

Way too powerful for my tank. I tried to adjust the flow but it never slows down unless I turn it off. Had to remove it because my shrimp and fish cant swim near it without being smashed to the ground.
I was sent an already opened item that was in pieces and had missing parts. Instructions were wrinkled and refilled like it was a previously returned pump. Do not recommend.
