Such good mugs! I have bought 2 so far and been using one for nearly a year. I've recommended them to others. It makes such a difference having hot drinks that don't go cold before you finish them. I can't be without one now!I did have a few technical hitches but ember support resolved everything quickly, so they have very good support service as well as great mugs.

My husband and I have three young children and both of us work full-time. This means our mornings are fast paced and BUSY. I must put my mug down a million times over the course of an hour, which, before Ember, meant I wound up with cold coffee, or microwaved coffee, or no coffee because I refused to drink it luke warm. Support has been fantastic when this occurs however.AS FEEDBACK FOR EMBER: I would upgrade if the next gen had Qi wireless charging. This could be integrated so it is compatible with a water resistant "Ember" charger (using a NFC handshake, much like Apple's proprietary chargers), so that any spills don't short out the standard wireless chargers. I like the mug a lot. But I had spilt my coffee many times too hen I accidentally hit the mug gently. I guessed the round bottom made it more easy to topple.
I bought the 14oz Ember mug as a present for my girlfriend who drinks coffee all morning but who always has to go reheat it. I almost bought her a similar set up but it was more like a hot plate and I was worried about her burning the place down. The Ember mug is safer since the coaster is a recharging plate and not a hot plate. My girlfriend says it's amazing, she loves it and having hot coffee all morning and it has changed her life. Best present ever!
This mug is a no brainer... it heats and maintains your tea/coffee to the perfect drinking temperature... but all four of my heating plates have stopped working. its a design fault with the metal pins that connect to the mug. after a while they stop connecting, and the mug stops heating.... mmmm
As a coffee addict, receiving this gift for Christmas was an absolute joy. I also take my time in finishing my coffee, so the fact that this Ember mug maintains the perfect temperature of my pourovers for an hour plus is amazing. It's also a nice touch to be able to change the light color to make it more personalized, but the design is great, it's easy to use, nice to hold, and the app isn't so bad either. Would definitely like for the battery to hold longer charge, but I suspect they're working on that. Very happy to have this addition in my daily life!
Dear Ember mug,How did I ever live without you?! All those times where I poured a hot cup of tea and my baby decided she’s going to wake up at same point for a feed…and then I’m stuck with a cold cup of tea. Or when I finish pouring a hot cup of tea and my child yells from the bathroom he’s finished taking a dump and wants me to wipe his butt :-/Yes you do get glitchy at times with the Bluetooth connection, but I forgive you. For too long have I suffered burned lips and ravaged tongue, only to discover the palatable window always being far too short in time.My sister now has a travel mug (2) for her chai latte she takes to school almost every morning. Mornings that typically involve people dropping in for meetings (impromptu and otherwise) and what-have-you, all designed to destroy that carefully made brew.Another member of our clan (and I) also have the 10 oz mug (2).All this came about while recently idling through the Apple Store - getting my phone fixed up. It was sheer chance that I saw these on the shelf. The packaging was so Apple-esque, no surprise in retrospect.I then discover the 14 oz version. I wish I had seen that earlier.
Hi the paint peals off over time, this means the product is breaking down minute particles each time we use it. Does the paint contain BPA or other similar endocrine blockers. What is the paint made out of? Heat and man made products leach chemicals that we still don't know the safety of. Is there a food grade stainless option instead?
