In comparison to Weleda, another cult fave, this gets a below average rating. Got it thinking it would be light enough for the day (I live in a hot and humid environment) and I could use Weleda for evening instead. But Skin Food just gives so much more hydration and moisture despite the humidity, my face is simply more supple whilst Embryolisse doesn’t give any noticeable hydration. Even Aveeno Oat is more moisturizing and more beneficial too for layering w retinol. Weleda also acts as a great primer. A little goes a long way and applies best tapped into the skin with a Beauty Blender. Sorry to the cult-followers but this was a miss for me.

I’ve been using this as a replacement for the heavier cream from the same brand. I’ve used it for 2 years as a makeup base. It’s great quality for great price. This is my first time using the lotion it’s great in the warmer weather, delicate scent and nourishing. I’m adding this to my routine for summer.

I understand why so many people rave about this moisturizer’s performance underneath makeup. I am not even very knowledgeable about makeup but saw a big difference in the way my powder looked versus my previous moisturizer. The fragrance is not my favorite but it is not unbearable. I will not repurchase because I prefer a dewy finish or a bit of sheen to my moisturizer. But this is definitely a great replacement for primer.
I was starting to het patchy spots on my forehead and couldn’t find a good enough cream that would make them go away. I’ve seen a lot of muas use this so I went for it and let me just say that it has to be the best decision I’ve ever made especially when you compare the price to the size and quality.I wouldn’t say that it smells like anything specific, but it’s an okay scent.All in all it’s a great moisturizer and I also use it under my primer for extra hydration.
