4/5 stars. It's not perfect but I do really like this. I was very excited to see that Embryolisse made a fragrance-free version of their beloved moisturizer. The original version is nice but the smell could be overpowering and the mineral oil didn't really agree with my skin. It also never fully sunk it...I wanted to love it but it just didn't work. So when this came out I was very much interested in trying it. I love the fact that this version is fragrance AND mineral oil free as my skin doesn't tolerate either very well. My ONLY complaint is that this comes up pretty runny and quickly. I feel like this definitely could lead to product being used up quicker than intended. Will repurchase and recommend, especially if you love French pharmacy products as I do! It's a basic moisturizer but it does its job! *Some people have been complaining about the scent in reviews I've read of this product, but I really don't mind it! If you're used to putting perfume on your face this may not appeal to you.*

My first impression of the Embryolisse Lait-Creme Sensitive is that the cream comes in a handy size tube with a screw top lid. The tube sits upright on top of the lid so that there is minimal wastage. The packaging does look a little old-school though as the tube is a metal squeeze tube. The tube holds 100mls of cream. The cream itself is white but not thick nor runny. It's of medium consistency. It says it is fragrance free on the packaging but it does have a smell. The smell is quite unpleasant. Unpleasant to the point that when I had it on my face I had to wash it off. It smells chalky. I can't really describe the smell any other way but it's not something I would like to smell on my face. It's unlike anything I've ever smelt before. Definitely not something ... MoreMy first impression of the Embryolisse Lait-Creme Sensitive is that the cream comes in a handy size tube with a screw top lid. Unpleasant to the point that when I had it on my face I had to wash it off. It smells chalky. I can't really describe the smell any other way but it's not something I would like to smell on my face. It's unlike anything I've ever smelt before. Definitely not something you'd expect to smell in a face cream. My skin type is combination but can also be sensitive at times depending on products and weather. So here's how it went... When I first applied the Embryolisse cream I applied it after first cleaning and toning my skin. I applied it as I normally would apply a moisturiser. My hand in which I applied the cream and the skin on my face were both oily and shiny. The oiliness alone is something that I dislike in a moisturiser on my face plus the smell of the cream was enough for me to want to wash it off. So that's what I did. I read on the packaging that it can be used on children and I have a toddler who has sensitive skin and has dry scaly skin on his cheeks so before bed one night I applied some Embryolisse cream to his cheeks. He didn't fuss over the smell but what I can say is that when he woke up the next morning his cheeks looked like new baby skin. They were soft, hydrated and the irritation was gone. So I now have a cream that fixes my sons irritated skin. You can use this cream as a make-up primer which I did try as I really wanted to try all aspects of the cream even though I don't like it's smell I really wanted to try all functions out. I applied the cream onto my skin and it was oily and shiny but I still wanted to see what foundation would look like on top so I used my normal foundation. The cream really did provide a smooth canvas and my foundation applied smoother but unfortunately for me, my skin looked far too shiny/oily and so I washed it off. There was no way that I could have left the house with how shiny I looked. I would also suggest that if you do use this cream as a make-up primer that you use it as a primer/moisturiser in 1 underneath makeup. I wouldn't double up on products as this cream is quite rich. I also tried the Embryolisse cream as a face mask. I applied a thick layer to my skin and left it on for about 15 minutes then wiped the excess off with a tissue but because the smell is quite strong and unpleasant I ended up having to cleanse my skin. I must admit that the mask did soften my skin and gave me a big moisture boost. My skin was supple. The skin on my hands can be quite dry in the cooler weather and also when I use hand sanitiser my hands also get really dry from that too. Since this cream is quite oily on my skin I decided to try it as more of a hand mask/treatment cream before I go to bed as I wouldn't be touched anything once I have it rubbed into my hands. My hands immediately felt silky smooth and soft. When I wake up either during the night or the next morning my hands feel so good and all the dryness was alleviated. So I would highly recommend this as a hand treatment before bed. I've also applied this to my legs after shaving and it soothed my legs which can usually be quite itchy after shaving and irritated too. The cream made my legs feel soothed and hydrated. Overall I think this cream is more suited for children as I have seen improvements and results when using it on my toddlers skin and I definitely think it would work wonders as a nappy rash cream because of the oiliness to the cream it would provide a barrier to protect the skin. I also like that it is a multi use cream so you can play around with it and see what works best for you and your family. The biggest con for me was the smell of the cream. It's suppose to be fragrance free but it's definitely not. Plus the oiliness is another reason I don't particularly like it for myself. I'm not sure I would purchase this myself because of the smell but I will definitely use what I do have on my toddlers skin and for myself as a hand treatment cream and leg moisturiser after shaving.

What a versatile product this French pharmacy cream is, able to help at every stage of my skincare routine – as a cleanser, a wipe-off face mask, then a moisturizer and finally as a hydrating primer under make-up. With aloe vera, soy protein, and shea butter – ingredients with known moisturizing properties – and other natural origin products, it claims to be the perfect hydrating and nourishing cream. It is also fragrance-free, so safe for sensitive skins and even babies’ delicate skin. These are big claims but the French do put great effort into producing really good but affordable skincare, so not that surprising.Given the opportunity to trial this product by the ladies at Beauty Crew I decided to test all its skin-care claims. These are big claims but the French do put great effort into producing really good but affordable skincare, so not that surprising.Given the opportunity to trial this product by the ladies at Beauty Crew I decided to test all its skin-care claims. I first applied it fairly generously as a cream cleanser and massaged it in to remove my make-up. I had used face oils before to remove makeup and then as a moisturizer, but had never tried this with a cream, so I was a bit skeptical. After wiping it off with warm water and a cloth, I then followed with a face wipe to test its effectiveness. The face wipe turned up clear, so my make-up was completely gone already! For test number 2, I applied it more thickly in the shower as a cream mask and left it for 5 minutes before rinsing off. I was happy with the effect on my skin which felt soft and not taut or dry at all. I tend to favour cream masks over clay masks for this reason. Then I tried the Lait-Crème as a moisturizer, the most usual use. It is very light, more like a lotion and very easily and quickly absorbed, so a good morning solution. It has a faint “no-scent scent”- a slightly chemical smell, even though it contains mainly natural ingredients, and neither pleasant nor unpleasant. The takeaway from this is that there are no perfumes that can irritate sensitive or delicate skin.I find the lotion quite hydrating and protective, but at the time of trialing which is during full winter, I probably need a thicker cream to counteract drying cold weather, so applied extra, or another cream in my driest areas. Lait-Crème Sensitive would make a good summer moisturizer.I also used it as a primer under make-up and loved it – it was thick enough and slightly tacky to make a good base but absorbed well so my foundation went very easily over the top. The primer was probably my favourite use of this product but ongoing I will also use it as a moisturizer too. This makes an awesome travel product because it can do at least triple duty or more during a trip. It can easily be decanted into a smaller container for travel and I give it 5 stars for sheer versatility. At $48 full-size it is not cheap but probably on par with other mid-range brands, and worth the money because you can get so much use from it.

I love this multi-function cream which can be used as mask, makeup remover ,or moisturising lotion. It is versatile and can be used by all members of the family , therefore a great value.I first used it as a hand cream as my hands were quite dry. It is light consistency but very rich and concentrated , therefore you only need a little bit. It spread well onto my hands leaving my hands quite moisturised. My hand immediately felt comfortable and soft. It got rid of that uncomfortable feeling of having dry rough hands instantly.I gave it to my husband as well as his body was extremely dry. A little bit goes a long way.I love the metallic tube, looks fancy band luxurious.I also used it as a mask at night. Applied a thick layer on my face and left it on for about 20 minutes. I then wiped off excess and buffed in the remaining on my face and slept. the next morning my face was so smooth and the best part is my skin looked so refreshed .This is an all purpose cream which can be handy to have in your purse all the time.It has a slight smell which can be unusual for some.Overall I loved the hydrating properties of this cream and it does a great job of moisturising my skin and keeping it soft.
The moisturizing effects of this lotion are absolutely amazing. The only ding against it is that the smell is a little off putting. I have to use the tiniest drop so that I am not smelling it all day. I love this sensitive formula because it does not contain mineral oil which my face does not like. I only wish that they made two versions of this lotion: 1) Keep this unscented version, and 2) make one scented (but with a scent that is nonirritating to the skin.) Beggars can't be choosers. It's the only lotion that my face likes so I will continue to use it probably forever.
I was curious to try this multi purpose cream after reading the reviews. I quite like it, you can use it as a primer, mask or moisturising cream. I like it for my sensitive skin as it caused no irritation. It has a slight scent but is not overpowering. I prefer to use this as a night cream as I feel this is where I got the best results. It’s a white cream that sinks in well and is a bit thicker than my usual day cream. It leaves my skin feeling really soft and smooth in the morning and has helped with fine lines. When using it as a primer my makeup went straight over the top well, however my skin was a little bit oily and shiny at the end of the day and I have used other primers that were better for my skin. The cream doesn’t feel greasy, oily or sticky on my skin but it leaves too much of a shine for my liking, however it’s fine on its own for the days I know I’m definitely staying at home. The cream is very comfortable to wear and is quite soothing on sensitive skin. I have combination to dry skin whereas hubby has very sensitive skin so I’ve encouraged him to use this cream as a moisturiser. This cream has calmed his skin so he’s been using the Laite-Crème as a night cream because he too doesn’t like the shiny look for day use.I tried the Lait-Crème under two different light to medium cover foundations to see how effective it is as a primer. Both foundations applied very smoothly and toned down the shine producing a lovely finish with a nice glow. As a primer it works well for me.As a mask, I suppose the only difference is the time frame and amount of product used because the Lait-Crème still leaves my skin feeling really plumped, soft and smooth whether I use the cream as a moisturiser or whether I apply a thicker layer as a 15 minute hydration boost. As a cleanser, it feels very soothing and wipes away makeup effectively although I didn’t use it on my eyes. I can’t really see the point in using it as a cleanser because it seems like a waste of product to me.In summary, the Embroyolisse Lait-Crème Sensitive is a very nourishing and hydrating cream which is comfortable to wear and is soothing on sensitive and reactive skin. This is such a good multi-purpose product and I particularly like how effective it is as a makeup primer.
The packaging looks very sleek and simple. This cream comes in a metal tube with a screw top lid, so the tube can stand up, on the lid.The tube is white with black writing, and has a nice swirl of grey and blue to give it a small pop of colour. The Embryolisse cream is multi-functional, so can be used as a moisturiser, hydrating mask, creamy face wash or a make-up primer. This is recommended for sensitive skin, as well as babies, and is described as fragrance free. The first time I used this, I used it as a moisturiser, after cleansing my skin. I found it to be hydrating, and absorbed well into my skin. It might have been slightly too hydrating, as towards the end of the day my skin felt oily and was very shiny.I also found it to have a scent. It was slightly overbearing, and smelt of cream that hadn't been used in a while, or was close to expiration. After having the tube opened for a few weeks, the scent seemed to go away, so not really sure what happened. The second time I used it as a make-up primer. The foundation applied amazingly over the top of the cream, and it didn't go tacky. As it became oily when used as a moisturiser, it did the same as a primer, and made the foundation look very shiny and slightly 'caked on' by the end of the day.Lastly I used it as a face mask. I applied a thick layer of the cream, and this being for sensitive skin, I could apply it slightly closer to the eyes and mouth, than I would a normal mask. I left it on for about 15 minutes before removing. I did this before bed so my skin could absorb it for longer, and I also didn't have to worry about my face looking oily. My skin was super soft and well hydrated, but by the next morning my nose was super oily, so I'm glad I used this before bed.As this is also suited for babies, I decided to try it on my daughters teething rash. It worked quite well to reduce the redness and keep it moisturised. I only ever use sensitive skin products on her, just in case, so will definately be using this on her again.
Embryolisse Lait-Creme Sensitive is packaged in a squeeze tube and contains 100ml of white unscented cream. It has a medium to light consistency but it is really rich and nourishing. Being fragrance free it doesn't smell exciting so I don't think you would really appreciate how wonderful this cream is unless you have sensitive/ dry skin and then you would love it! It is perfect for creating the moisture barrier that I need for winter to prevent rashes. This cream can be used for multiple purposes but I liked it best for night cream and hand cream. Before this trial my hands were dry, sensitive and starting to crack from hand sanitiser. It was such a relief to have this cream in my bag and I applied it multiple times a day and my hands are now as good as new. For the longest time, I've been hoping they'd make an unscented version of the original. The original is absolutely amazing, but I wasn't a fan of the flowery scent. I even started searching for a replacement because I couldn't handle the fragrance anymore. This version is just as good and while the unscented smell isn't great, it's light and disappears quickly and is a lot more tolerable than the flower scent. I don't normally have sensitive skin, so I tend to use harsher products in rotation with tretinoin and sometimes end up with irritated skin. Both versions of this lotion are the only things I've found that don't burn my skin when it's angry. I don't normally have sensitive skin, so I tend to use harsher products in rotation with tretinoin and sometimes end up with irritated skin. Both versions of this lotion are the only things I've found that don't burn my skin when it's angry. I've tried numerous "sensitive" skin creams, lotions, and even doctor's after-treatment salves and this is the only thing that works for me. My face can be pink and raw and this stuff doesn't sting one bit. When I use it at night, by itself or over other serums, I wake up with nearly healed skin that's hydrated, plump, and glowing. When building up tolerance to tretinoin, I've used this lotion over it and have mixed them together, and I didn't get any irritation. The consistency is perfect. It's a very light, creamy, milky lotion, that goes on smoothly and doesn't feel heavy or oily, but is very protective and moisturizing. It can feel a little slick to the touch for awhile at first, so during the day if I'm wearing makeup that I want to last, I use it sparingly, or blot my face a bit with a towel. As long as they keep making it, this will forever be my go-to lotion. And now I can buy the big size without fearing I'll end up not being able to use it up just because of the scent.
