These were such a good price ($0.96/battery) I was afraid they'd be old, have an expiration date only 4-5-6 years from now, but as you can see from the photo they're dated 12/2030, 9 years from now (the spec shelf life is 10 years after they're manufactured). And they're made in USA. All 12 tested > 1.6 VDC on a voltmeter; sorry I don't have a battery tester.

Couldn’t find batteries around Tampa a week before Irma. Got genius idea to order online after striking out at 8 stores!! Ordered to put in lanterns from Amazon. Both promised delivery 2 days before Irma was to hit. The batteries delivered as promised!! Too bad the lanterns didn’t! Survived Irma but no electricity for a week. Lanterns would have been useful.
I use Energizer batteries exclusively in my flashlights and gadgets around the house. They are dependable, perform very well and the 12 pack is very handy so I always have replacements on hand.
I tell my kids to save their phone flashlights when in a situation without power and use another light source. Phone can be used for communication only.
Energizer is the only brand of batteries that I use. The Energizer Bunny knows best! I use these D size batteries in my elliptical exercise machine which goes through about 12 Energizer batteries per year. Other battery brands would use twice as many. It is a job to replace spent batteries so I appreciate the long life of the Energizer batteries. Hooray for the Energizer Bunny!
these were a good byye and they arrived quickly, for some reason i have had a hard time finding this size in the store. They work great!
I run security cameras on Batteries, I bought 24 of these batteries. My cameras digitally indicate battery charge level, 18 of the 24 reported 99% , 6 indicated 70% at install and fell to 40% in just two days. The others to 90% . Seems 6 were weak. Fluke? Now days batteries claim a tremendous shelf life?
