Good value and fine for Voice/Video calls

For the price you pay this is good value.Pros:-lighweight and comfortable-Decent enough sound for voice/video calls that I have conducted in Zoom, Teams, & Webex (not good for gaming if you need good audio quality).-Plug and play. Windows 10 recognized it immediately and was able to toggle to the headset in MS Teams for example-Has a mute switch and volume control but you have to remember that.Cons-Seems a little fragile. Don't be dropping, stepping or be aggressive with it. Not a big deal for most but you are likely to throw your headset after a frustrating call then I don't think these are for you.

Good, Solid product at a good price.

This headset is light, durable and works very well. I have had this headset for some 6 years and so naturally wanted to get another one, as the ear pads have finally given up the ghost. The one I had was a "PC8" USB version and this is the same product only slightly better built. It is easy on the ears, the microphone can be set for left of right side and the pads are not too big or too small and fine on the ears. I use it mainly for talking to ATC while flying Flight Simulator on the VATSIM network, but I also use it to voice over videos and on skype calls. Price is good too. Recommended.

I found the reviews saying this was no good for podcasting puzzling. I won't say which podcast I have but it's top-ranked and people are always commenting on how good my audio quality is for my guests. My guests are all over the world and I send them this set so that they sound decent. I use a Blue Yeti. My guests really sound better than I do often because their distance from the mic is controlled and they are typically up close. Plus, my software does automatic audio clean before I go through an entire remastering process. But I've found that this version PC8 (vs. PC 7 which is also pretty good) does a good job with avoiding plosives. The audio is deep and resonate. I have had way to may head sets and microphones. I also have a very expensive Yetti that I use for serious recording. But as far as headsets go, these are the est i have used so far. The voice quality is far better than anything else I have tried in the price range. The volume control and mute buttons on the cord are an added bonus. Like most people, i don't really lime my voice. But we can't all sound like James earl Jones. When take a bad voice and record it with a bad mike, it makes it that much worse. These make your voice sound like you with a but of added fullness. Overall - The voice quality is great, the features are good and the value is exceptional. I paid full price and was not asked to review this product. I use Dragon NaturallySpeaking A LOT! I purchased this headset specifically because my ancient headset was refusing to work anymore. When I plugged this headset in, I expected it to solve all my problems. However, this was not the case. Dragon would lag in its dictation and refuse to shut down when I commanded it to. I kept using the task master to shut it down manually and then restart it and that was not fixing the problem. I kept running the audio wizard and that did not fix the problem, either. Eventually, I uninstalled the program and then reinstalled it. I am not sure if that helped, either. I combed Google for an answer, and eventually I found a suggestion that I open the ""Options"" selection under the ""Tools"" menu, go to Miscellaneous, and then set the slider all the way to the left in the Speed versus Accuracy department. That seemed to do the trick. It is hot in my apartment now and I am sitting with the air conditioner and a fan running. I turned them both off and practiced some dictation, and things seem to be working. Then, I tried the fan which is located fairly close to me and Dragon slowed way down again. I turned off the fan and then turned on the air conditioner, and the noise cancellation property of this microphone finally kicked in. Apparently, the noise cancellation works if the noise is fairly far away but not if it is right in your face. This is okay, I can live with this, but I docked my review of star because for the price I paid I expected super noise cancellation. On the other hand, this headset is very comfortable and works fairly nicely. It is plug-and-play, all I had to do was plug it in and get started. There is one more con: the cord is fairly flimsy. For the price I paid I would've expected a braided cord, or at least a heavy cord that will last through the years. Nevertheless, I needed a headset microphone and now I have one.

Perfect for remote work
13 May 2022

It sits comfortably and lightly on the ear. Very lightweight so you don't feel its presence to be heavy after long hours of wearing either. Sound is clear and the microphone has noise cancellation, so our voice travels super crisp and clear. The mute button works well but the volume dial is a little tough.

The Headphones for work and entertainment!

First of all let me share a funny incident. As soon the headphones came in the middle of my class ( I am a chess coach) I wanted to try them out without wasting even a single minute. It turned out to be a frightening experience initially as my student could not hear any sound from my side as soon as I plugged it in.I again plugged my old ones and finished my class with a worried face as I thought I have maybe got a defective piece! After the class I even restarted my laptop! Finally it dawned upon me that the mute button was on in it! Felt like a fool but relieved. Now for the review. It has a crisp voice to hear and send. Before buying it I saw review of this man...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbweOuwm3eM..He was so negative about this product and so much he demeaned ... MoreFirst of all let me share a funny incident. I am glad I was right about booking this product.I am completely satisfied with this product and will give it 5 stars for its value and also for the price which was best! Thank you guys for doing a great job! P.S: You all look like a bunch of kids but you know your job!!

Very good for Skype, Google Meet, Teams calls
5 January 2021

I can give 5 stars if this is meant only for online calls. The headphones sound quality is pretty good for the online calls. Sound is not too sharp so my ears dont hurt on high volume. Microphone is very good too. Voice from the caller using this headphones is crystal clear.Perfect for work-from-home or online classes. For music listening, the sound is good but not best. If you are looking for headphones for both online calls and music listening this may not be right choice for you. But I am happy with this product as it meets my expectations for online calls.

Will's review of Sennheiser PC8 Stereo Headset & Mic USB
29 April 2021

Pros: It immediately synced with my windows 10 laptop and all the settings recognised it instantly which is good. Feels nice and wires etc all quality stuff and plenty long enough. Little switch is decent too feels good.Cons: Having a wire from each ear is annoying down around your neck when some have only a wire from one side. The comfort is ok but just makes it not so easy to whip on and off as these Both hang around your chin.

You can always rely on Senheisser headphones. One important thing to understand that these are not noise cancellling headphones. The noise cancellation is for the mic so you are clearer to others. Doesnít cancel background noise that you hear. Comfortable, much better sound quality than the headset my office gave me. Only complaint is the mute switch on the chord is easy to catch on a desk and accidentally mute yourself. Plus of course your conference software doesnít know so it still shows you as not muted.
