After initial problems starting printer tried the help service from John Lewis which was disappointing as obviously the person responding was not at all familiar with the item. However after hard wiring the printer got some of the functions working.I then tried the Q box download app. which immediately made the whole printer respond and proved to be a real asset for operating the printer. The person advising should have made this point as was pointing faults at the computer.Now extremely pleased with Epson ET - 2856 3 in one printer!ThanksDerek

Bought this to replace a tempremental HP OfficeJet Pro. Needed auto double side printing and also decided on a megatank type of printer. Have printed a number of pages - mostly double sided - so far and have had two paper jams, possibly due to misalignment of paper. The paper guides are not the easiest to access and not as rigid as my other printers. They also tend not to move easily thus fiddly getting them to fit the paper (A4). The easiest way I've found is to lift the scanner lid and and then adjusting the guides but, being stiff, still fiddly. Main printing has been on plain paper where 'standard' quality is more than acceptable.The almost square form factor doesn't take up a lot of room so is a bonus.

This purchase replaced my old cartridge ink printer which was very expensive, being extremely 'ink thirsty'.Although only in use for a short while, it is clear that this Epsom will be much more economical and 'loading' the ink was nowhere as difficult as I had feared. The quality of print in both copying and printing from the internet is good.Setting up and linking to the WiFi was straightforward even for a technophobe like me!The only reason I haven't given it five stars is that having to open the paper carrier and paper 'catcher' every time is mildly annoying, and then remove and store the paper elsewhere not ideal.However, Overall, think this printer is good value for money and would recommend it.

This printer is a replacement one for a similar one which had been damaged by an electricity outage on our estate. I chose it because I like the printer. It prints on both sides of the paper, if required, though this is slower than printing on one side. It prints quietly. The ink reservoirs (3 colours and black) have a large capacity.I did have some difficulty setting it up as I had to enter the broadband password manually on a small fiddly screen. I downloaded the printer driver from the EPSOM Site. Once set up it has worked perfectly and I can send papers from my mobile to be printed as well as pages wirelessly from my computer.
I was drawn to the Epson Eco Tank by the fact of its compact size and refillable ink tanks -- and following a terrible experience with another well-known brand. It's expensive for what it does, in my opinion: the print quality is erratic, with the ink often not applying evenly; about half the time ink smudges and blots appear, particularly at the top of a new page; and half way through printing a job "it" will suddenly declare that the paper size is not compatible, at which point it stops printing. This happens frequently -- more than 10 per cent of the time, less than 25 per vent of the time. Speed is OK, although it's quite noisy. Set-up is slightly laborious (and noisy) but it's not difficult.I would not buy this printer again.
The easiest way to install this is via the Epson Smart panel app after taking off the transit tape.It takes you through from start to finish.After the initial setup was done I used the install CD to load the drivers to my windows laptop. All OK. The install takes you through connecting to the installed WiFi printer and does a test print.Tested both A4 single sided, duplex and a colour phot print all OK from phone and laptop. Hopefully the ink lasts as long as described.Only thing I would say could be improved is the paper feeder. This could be via a tray as opposed to a hopper at the back but it's no great issue.

They cost more than a cartridge printer but you save money in the long term. Printer companies have a business model where they subsidise printers and make the money out of cartridges- tank printers you pay a high price but then buy bottles of ink for a lot less. My concern was going from a seven colour photo printer to a four colour general one - however the results a good. My only issue now is that on our Wi-Fi network I cannot tell which of the two I'm using! I will try and change the network names so I can, I'm sure it's possible. I'm going to leave an honest review here. I was looking for a good quality printer with a nice design and to save money on ink. However, I made a huge mistake buying this printer. The print quality is horrible. It leaves yellow, magenta and cyan lines at the bottom of all my prints. I have tried everything I possibly can by changing the types of papers I use and changing it on the settings for when I used inkjet photo paper or a4 plain paper. All the prints come out really bad quality and they do not look nice at all. The colours are very muted. I have tried to change the settings to high settings on the printer but still nothing.
