This would be a great printer - good print quality, small, wireless, rechargeable - if it worked regularly. Ink cartridges are preposterously expensive and don’t last long, which would be a problem if the printer worked long enough to use up the ink. The printer has constant error message, most often that the ridiculously expensive ink cartridges are “not recognized.” Please, do not buy this printer. Don’t even think about buying it.

I had an HP 340 till I could no longer get ink for it. I went on the hunt for something to replace it. Ran across this little gem. In epsons usual style, they are holding the drivers hostage from Microsoft. Download them and put them on a flash drive, and you will be good to go. I say go buy one, you wont be disappointed.

I did not need a printer, and ordered through Office Max when I discovered there was one that could take up less space than my old HP. It doesn't appear to be new technology, which is good for my needs as I currently do not need to print very often. This is easier to pack for a road trip, but I am concerned it may be time consuming to reset it once moved from place to place. I plan on keeping the cartridges stored with caps for long trips, or for extended storeage.. I hope the unit is durable. It was easy to set up in about 20 minutes with software and tweaks to preference and test pages. This is an ideal size for a small desk, or shelf of a busy body that isn't in a chair for long. I found a business envelope and some tape was an easy fix for receiving pages that want to creep to the edge. my print jobs are two or three pages in about an hour of operation. I never like the catcher on most of older printers I have used. I like the simplicity of the design. Epson was my goto when I first started printing from a desktop nearly 20 years ago, but moved to larger printers as my needs increased. Now, I am back where I started. I hope it is up to the challenge of changing moves, and weathers the road in my light vehicle, frequent motels, and occasional outdoor events.

As a worker who is on call and require fast access to a hard copy for invoicing, notes, quick photocopying etc., this printer is robust enough to handle transport and the battery is fine for this type of situation. Portability and lightness is such that I take it in a bag, along with my laptop on public train and bus routes and it is so easy to use. I really like this printer, since using a similar product supplied by another printer company.
While we've not yet opened nor tested this particular WF-100 printer, the identical one that it's replacing has served us well for over 5 years (& is still working, btw ... turns out that we bought this one to replace it & the problem was with our computer, NOT the Epson printer). We bought the original one several years ago because of its tiny size, for use in our small RV. It's been EXTREMELY dependable & tough (it's been bounced few times) makes great copies, communicates reliably with our 2-3 computers, operates for a long time on its internal battery (which has never needed repalcement), fairly quiet. NEGATIVES: 1--It only prints, does not scan/copy. 2--The tiny ink cartridges are expensive, high cost per page copied. 3--Requires a "maintenance tray" that needs ... MoreWhile we've not yet opened nor tested this particular WF-100 printer, the identical one that it's replacing has served us well for over 5 years (& is still working, btw ... turns out that we bought this one to replace it & the problem was with our computer, NOT the Epson printer). Bought this Printer about 3 months ago but I have not use it not until today, I was amazed how convenient and how fast it prints and quick-dry inks, lightweight which you can take it anywhere you go. The printer looks simple but it is well designed for people that needs to print anywhere perfect for convention, business, I guess I have to say everything. This printer is rechargeable and the ink is about $37 dollars for black and color ink cartridges C/M/Y/K 2-Pack BCS great deal! you save more if you buy a pack rather than by each (still hoping that the price will still go down, maybe discounts specially for students), and if your lazy to press your printer (LOL) and maybe 5 steps away from the printer it has a Hands-free voice-activated printing! Awesome!!!!. Awesome!!!!. FYI, not because the printer is too light this won't print a good quality, I was shocked because it looks nice and clean no Smudge Ink very professional. Love it!!! For the price, it is a little bit expensive.. other than that I would say Printer is Perfect for Everything. I love it!
I am so glad I bought this printer before the pandemic. I needed it when I was attended college and all the printers lab printer had some type of problems or the next lab office was far from my classes. So I decided to buy this printer to carry with me to have my assignment printed for my instructor. Even thought I did not use it for my purpose at that time, I recently open my printer box this semester and I love it! This printer is all I use now. Only one problem it makes a loud noise when it begin to print but otherwise I like it. I mean I love! I plan to call Epson and ask if the noise is normal or not. The price was cheaper than now if you can even fine one now.
I love this small Printer. However, this ink runs out fast when or if you need to do a nozzle clean. I went through 2 Maintenance box and each time when a new one replaced it tells me it needs to be replace. I took the paper off one and it shows that it's good as it should since I didn't get the chance to us it. I am in need of this small printer, and now I am NOT able to use. As well as the Ink getting low each time I try to run a test. WHY now?
This printer contains nothing but headaches. I have replaced ink cartridges twice, maintenance box once already and I am now unable to print something greyscale because the color cartridge is empty (yes, I followed the directions on "how to bypass" but it doesn't work. Surprise surprise, the monitoring software does nothing to help. It only forces you to their website to buy something new.) All told, I think I've only ACTUALLY printed around 25 pages with this thing. I bought it because it's small and portable. So it gets a star for the compact size, portability and battery life. But this already expensive printer has become a money pit of constantly replacing cartridges and spending more time with a paperweight then a printer.
Job number one for any printer is to print, and this printer sucks at it. This thing is nothing but a high-tech, frustrating "replacement cartridge" gouge. I can count on the first page I print every day being a wasteland of fragmented lines. I have to clean every time I turn it on, which wastes ink, while waste ink goes into ink waste cartridge which I have to replace. When it decides replacement is needed, it LOCKS UP COMPLETELY. I'm on the road with this portable printer with REALLY hard-to-find ink and maintenance cartridges, and it just LOCKS UP. I'm dead in the water. Even if I could get by with blue instead of black in a dire emergency, NOPE, printer locks up. Full color LCD readout, lots of fancy menus and connections...BUT I CAN'T PRINT A DANG PAGE without ... MoreJob number one for any printer is to print, and this printer sucks at it. Because the heads are not part of the cartridge, print quality gets worse and worse over time, unlike HP and Canon where the head is replaced every time you replace a cartridge. With the exposed ink pads in the cartridges, refilling would be a breeze, but NOPE. Chip in cartridge FORBIDS that. It's your printer and your ink, but NOPE, clever programmers completely block you from refilling. Ever. I am pretty sure mine will find its way under the wheel of my car by New Years Eve.
