Quick and easy to set up - getting the scan to email set up wasn't quite as straight forward as you'd expect, but now that it is it is very very easy to use.The long run will prove just how cost effective it will be. At this stage I have no real complaints - it is fine for our purposes and will save us money. I just wish the washed out colours weren't so obvious - I think you should be able to expect a little more from an inkjet nowdays.

Best Printer yet

Uber easy to set up, in fact there was nothing to do as Windows 10 just found it and I did not have to do anything, Phone app downloaded and worked straight away. Ink filled with no spills. Print and scan both uber fast and high quality.well done Epson

Doesn't meet expectation

On paper the features sounded remarkable. It's a good document printer. Trying to print photographs or graphics is hard work. Margins are inaccurate and no amount of adjustment in Printer menu seems to correct the inaccuracy. Double-sided printing documents is okay, but trying to print double-sided graphics or photographs doesn't work, regardless of setting changes in both software or printer menu. Back page is either printed upside down or margins do not match. Have tried setting margins to both sides of page to line up when bound, but they do not. It's a time acting and frustrating printer. Okay if your'e only printing Word.docs.

Fantastic

Fantastic printer, very easy set up. Connected to iPhone quick and prints great. If your after a printer that just works this is the one I did lots of searching and reading of reviews, I can say you will be impressed with this printer worth every cent. The extra year warranty on registration is a bonus too. Purchased from Printzone online they were great highly recommend them, super fast delivery to far south coast.

Good Pigment Ink Photos

We needed a cheap to run, long lasting general and photo printer that was A3. This was the only printer that fitted the bill. A3 printer and scanner with pigment ink. We looked closely at the 8500, but didn’t want to rely on dye inks. So, we made a compromise with the few colours, but are very happy with the prints. Our quality reference was photo books we had published in the past and this printer does as good as, if not a better job.Tip to Mac users, if you need more printer options - look at printing via the ColorSync utility.Very happy.

Great Printer for Home Office

Great printer. Does A4 and A3 so suits our needs. Would have preferred an actual tray for A3 (can only feed via side flap) but otherwise good printer. Hardly uses any ink. Not a cheap printer though.

Refurbished unit is actually "used"

The printer is fine. Output is decent. I liked the idea of Ecotank, and the model was sold out, so I bought refurbished. Unfortunately, the Maintenance Box Service Life indicator shows that the service life is about 2/3 - 3/4 full. I expected it to be full, as this is a consumable part and should have been replaced/replenished during refurbishment. Epson have not bothered to respond to my support ticket for the past 9 days, which is unacceptable.Additionally, A3 printing of photo paper only works from the paper tray (manual feed) instead of the paper drawers. That's annoying, but not a deal-breaker.

So easy to use and set up

I had specific needs for a printer. I was using 2 printers to get one job done.This printer does it all and is economical to use long term. It was easy to set up and connect to all my home devices. My test prints were perfect, plus crisp and clear. Setting up the ink tanks had me worried but is easy and no mess!This printer may cost more than your average printers but long term it costs less. i was spending a fortune on ink cartridges on my old printers.Thank you epson for a great product.

So far so good. Only 3 days of Use.

- Very easy to install.- Very easy to get the computers running.- Very easy to print.- No issues so far.- One year extended guarantee.- A bit over the price I wanted to spend on a printer, but hoping it will be worth it in the long run.

Well not overly impressed for my money yet

I've literally just set this up so my review and ratings are based on setup experience and about a dozen prints to test colour. Havent printed on A3 yet but will do after this. Firstly setup was really easy had no issues setting up on the printer itself, my phone and laptop. Colour not so great with pics from mobile or laptop quality could be better in fact expected better. Also dont like power cord connection to the printer, its loose fitting like it just literally sits in there. Will investigate further if this is common with epson printers if not will send it back. For the price of the printer you'd think everything would be of better quality especially the power connection power cord connection to the printer
