I am an absolute phobe when it comes to baby carriers, always worried I’ve not put it on properly and baby will fly off. I avoided them like the plague with my first 2 daughters but this time around with school runs etc to navigate I bit the bullet and decided to try ergobaby on the recommendation of a friend. The carrier itself is pretty simple to use. It took 2-3 goes to figure out what I was doing but soon got the hang of it and now it’s used regularly. Baby feels secure, doesn’t slip down and the carrier itself is lightweight and breathable. It’s easy to wash and transferable between myself and my husband. I’d definitely recommend this brand and in particular the Omni 360 cool mesh. Perfect for all seasons!

I love my baby carrier and using it for mostly at the grocery store since it gives me the ability to be hands free! It’s also great to get this because it’s super comfy! My only challenge is getting this on and off by myself can sometimes be a challenge although I’ve gotten the hang of it. It took me a while to get it just right for me and my baby. Also keep in mind, as your child gets heavier and you recover post party’s you will likely need get to keep adjusting the straps to adjust which I typically need help doing. I will say it’s super comfy! I wore a carrier from a family friend and I think you definitely get what you pay for because this one is super comfy in multiple positions. We purchased our Omni 360 carrier when we were expecting our first child, in addition to a stretchy fabric wrap I thought it would be a practical option for my husband (who was less likely to go for the stretch wrap). Initially I thought I was being a bit luxe and maybe it was a bit extravagant. Friends who also have one rated them highly, this supported out decision to purchase. What I liked about this carrier was the age/size range that it catered for (quite wide) and that it didn't require an additional newborn insert - so while expensive, it would see us through a good period of time. The carrier proved to be a practical option for walking along the beach with a newborn - my husband was able to carry our baby, and we didn't need to worry about sand and our pram. ... MoreWe purchased our Omni 360 carrier when we were expecting our first child, in addition to a stretchy fabric wrap I thought it would be a practical option for my husband (who was less likely to go for the stretch wrap). I enjoyed the Omni 360 for our newborn as it was easier for me to get on and off, and a more seamless transfer of a sleeping babe - for context, I am on the shorter side.As our daughter has grown, she is now 17 months, I have found it a great option for doing the groceries (especially during these covid times) as I haven't needed to put her into a shopping trolley, she has a great view of what we are doing and can participate. More recently it has been a great option for fruit picking and allowing her to participate in the process. For us, this has been a great investment piece which we have utilised in conjunction with our pram, it allows us to do things hands free while still including our daughter.

I needed something to where my son can be in my arms and I can carry him wherever I or my husband goes without always needing a stroller. Since we retired our Doona, I lost a stroller and we have a small car so carrying a stroller in the car takes up a lot of room. Anyhow, my son is 9 months and even though he is not a newborn, this does accommodate one by securing their head. You can wear baby in the front facing you, away from you, in your back or positioned in your hip. I do love that the carrier has age options on positioning the baby’s hips. Overall this is worth the money so you don’t hurt baby in the long run with hip dysplasia. Upgraded to this after my baby outgrew my first Baby Bjorn. I kind of wish I had had this to begin with, because it feels great to have one carrier for newborns to up to 45lbs. However, I think I needed to experience the tradeoffs with the Baby Bjorn. BB is simpler --SO easy-- to use, which meant we used it a ton. However, it definitely had much less support. But you don't realize that until you have a heavier baby and switch/upgrade.The Ergobaby is amazing for our baby who is now 22ish lbs. I love all of the different holds. I feel like she's more secure and snug in her seating as well as on me. The hip belt is a must for long holds. All of this security comes at the cost of a more complicated carrier, though--so beware. I would have been overwhelmed using this as a new parent, I think. The sleep cover has been so helpful. And honestly I'm excited to keep using this for a few years.Anyway, it's awesome, highly recommend if you want ONE carrier for a few years. Bonus if it's just one person or multiple similarly-sized people using the carrier, so that you don't have to do so many adjustments each time you switch between them, as is the unfortunate case between my spouse and me.
We were recommended Ergobaby by a family friend. And we are so so glad that we brought one. No regrets at all!!!! It is really comfortable to wear and gives us great back support. Baby is really comfortable in it whereas with previous carriers she has screamed her head off. The materials used are lightweight, high quality, and breathable. The straps are super comfortable across our shoulders and back. I can not recommend this carrier enough. We are so so happy with our purchase 🥰
As someone that has frequent back pain this carrier only made it worse. The top strap just didn’t have the support I needed it just kind of hung loosely at it’s tightest & I don’t believe I have a small frame. I do think the straps are also impractical when strapping in with no assistance. That being said, my 6 month old was very comfortable in this carrier. I just couldn’t bear the weight of carrying him without the (very much needed) upper back support. I tested the baby bjorn in store and will ultimately be purchasing as a replacement. I’ve used other carriers that seem to offer the support I need at a much lower price point but I wanted something with longevity that would last into his toddler stage.
Fairly solidly made but not particularly well designed. There's no way to adjust for torso length and the one-size-fits-all approach creates a really disappointing product. I'm 5'9 1/2", not a particularly tall guy, and have to have the "hip" belt way up around my mid section to keep my baby at the recommended carry height. It just slides down as we walk since there is no hip supporting it and also keeps the carrier from distributing the baby's weight well. The padded section of the straps is also very short. I get it. This product was probably designed mostly with women in mind. I have broader shoulders and some muscle and the padded section of the straps only goes an inch or two down my back, leaving only the webbing for back straps, neither comfortable nor ... MoreFairly solidly made but not particularly well designed. This product was probably designed mostly with women in mind. I have broader shoulders and some muscle and the padded section of the straps only goes an inch or two down my back, leaving only the webbing for back straps, neither comfortable nor particularly secure. The straps that adjust the length of the shoulder belt are also the only straps that adjust tightness on baby. Basically I have to cinch the hip belt as tight as possible around the bottom of my rib cage for proper ride height and then cinch the shoulder belts only as tight as I dare, being mindful not to draw them too tightly for baby, and then just sort of keep hitching my son up as we walk. I'd bought the harness in hopes of also using it for light, low impact activity like snow shoeing and cross country skiing, but that is totally out of the question. I was also very disappointed to find out shipping on returns was at the buyer's expense. That's not particularly indicative of a company that stands by its products. Bottom line is this could have been a solid carrier with another piece of fabric between baby and adult with baby security adjustment straps separate from the shoulder adjustment height straps and a simple Velcro-closing height adjustment strip for the hip belt. Without those, it's really just not appropriately constructed for men, taller women, anybody with a little more body mass, etc. Construction is sturdy, hence 2 stars instead of 1.
Thought I'd review to say how great this carrier has been for both me (uk size 24) and my husband (28/30 inch waist). I actually tried this on in store (with a doll) before buying it online and it even fit me whilst pregnant. I'm so impressed by how easy this is to adjust for both of us and how comfy it seems to be for my daughter. She loves it and so do we.Also worth saying that the ability to wear this on the front back and side is more useful than I expected. My daughter is currently asleep on my back which allows me to actually wash up because when she's on my front it's so painful to reach and wash up. I will say, this has saved my back with my daughter because she constantly wants to be held!
I received the carrier as a gift. My daughter was born breech, and the doctors had concerns that her hips were not developing properly in their sockets. She had an ultrasound at 9 days old, we were told to double diaper her and come back for a follow up. At 8 weeks, we were told her hips had “fixed themselves” and we didn’t need to worry anymore. Meanwhile, as our baby grew we learned that she loved being in the Ergo. It would have often calm her when she was fussy, and put her to sleep. We used it almost constantly for quite sometime. Fast forward to her 9mo well appointment and the doctor ordered a final X-ray to follow up on her hips. Fast forward to her 9mo well appointment and the doctor ordered a final X-ray to follow up on her hips. Her left hip showed mild hip dysplasia, so off we went to the children orthopedics specialist at UVA. The specialist was dumbfounded. The radiologist who told us her hips were normal at 8 weeks was wildly incorrect. Turns out Imogene should have been placed in a Pavlock harness to correct her hips as a newborn. And yet, based on the X-ray at 9mo her right hip was miraculously normal and her left hip showed only mild, and quite treatable hip dysplasia. The doctor said it was nothing short of a miracle that we had arrived at this X-ray after seeing her 8weeks images. She asked if we used a carrier frequently, and we said yes, we used the ergo almost constantly before she was able to crawl around on her own. She said in using the ergo we had unknowingly braced her hips in the correct position and ultimately prevented the dislocated hips and the need for surgery that was expected based on that 8wo ultrasound. I want to thank you so much for your product that not only comforted my baby, but seemed to treat her as well. This product truly does hold baby in the proper position for healthy development.
