after riding the stock saddle on my stumpjumper for several years and 4000 miles, My back felt ready for a new saddle. I knew Ergon as a good company but I didn't know to much about this product. the price was right and the size fit so I went for it. so far 300-400 miles on this saddle and I'm a big fan. it has a shape that feels very supportive on long climbs and I feel big difference in my lower back. great product!
I had no idea what a night and day difference this saddle would make compared to the stock saddle. So much more comfortable, right from the first ride! Definitely will be able to spin more miles on this saddle. Definitely worth it.
A lot of support and decreased pressure on my man parts. Have had other saddles but this is in a league of its own. Almost no pressure points. Feels like your entire butt has support not like other saddles that feel like you are balancing on a 2” wide seat. Highly recommended I will not ride on another brand saddle. Immediate results
Comfortable, but not reliable. I have it for about a year and the saddle get some play in the front and is creaking during riding. Very annoying.
It was way to large and wide for my frame. I tried the Womens version and that works great for me--go figure.
How does one review a saddle? Comfort is in the a$$ of the beholder. My go-to saddle is the Brooks Cambium 17 but I needed something more svelte for single-track excursions. For this bum, the Ergon SMC does the trick. I first tried the M/L and got some rubbing in less than desired areas. The S/M fixed the problem and now I’m rolling with a smile on my face.
I replaced a SDG Radar with this saddle. It is so much more comfortable. I get no numbness and my sit bones don't hurt like they used to. It's on a F/S trail bike, BTW.
