I knew that I would benefit from a women's saddle on my new mountain bike, but the difference was beyond what I could have imagined! This saddle made a huge difference in my comfort and in turn in my endurance to stay on the bike. Paired with a chamois, it is a dream. Measuring for size was easy (look up easy at home methods on YouTube).

Ive always had an issue with numbing testes on long rides. Ive tried lots of different saddles and finally ordered Ergons SM pro saddle.I originally ordered this saddle for a mountain bike build. I mounted it on my Scott Addict road bike to test it out until then. I have to say this is hands down the most comfortable saddle that I’ve ever ridden on. I road 100km and there was no numbness at all. The Ortho cushioning is perfect for my sit bones. Full disclosure I am a 200lb 6’ 1” rider and have narrow sit bones - 13cm. This 14cm wide saddle works greats.I was so happy with this saddle I ordered the SR pro carbon to go on my road bike in the future. Yes Im a bit of a weight weenie. If I can get great comfort and a light component Im willing to pay the price.

You only get a few contact points on your bike, so its important to get the right grips, pedals, and seat. Ergon products arent cheap but in my experience they're worth every penny! This saddle was what Ergons calculator reccommended on their website and its the perfect size and aleviates the issues I inputted to there. Its my favorite saddle I've tried to date!

Once adjusted and properly sized, saddle is everything its claimed to be. Pressure reliving and comfortable. No numbness as with other saddles I have had, even with those that have cut outs in the frame for pressure relief. I have ridden in shorts that were not padded for cycle use, same pressure relief as padded shorts, just not QUITE as comfortable as having padded shorts. I DO wish there was a cover with Kevlar on the rear sides and nose for durability, but time will tell how well the microfiber cover will hold up. Overall construction seems great.
I bought this seat for me wife. I really thought this one had the right balance of dimensions for her size, ability and age. I got the MD / LG size, but I think this one was too big for her, because the bottom of seat was "working on her pelvic bone". She also thought the seat was for someone in better shape, ie; she thought there was not enough cushion. The seat seems to have plenty of surface area, but it is really designed to be stiffer for better power transfer. We exchanged this one and got seat with a just a little more "Cush", and a little more rounded at the base of seat at the pelvic interface. She is happy with the compromise. We are grateful for the REI return policy.
Saddle is comfortable and looks great. Looking forward to being much more comfortable on longer rides. It's the high quality I have come to expect from Ergon - they make great products.Postal delivery was about a week longer than quoted on here, even though it was mailed immediately after the order was placed and there were absolutely no customs delays. Therefore, bikeINN needs to get much better at estimating overseas delivery time.
I recently had a crash and bent the rails on my blue trimmed Ergon SM Pro Men's saddle. So I had to switch to use my red one. But it was on a blue bike! But now I've finally got another one and all is right in my world. Blue Ergon saddle on my blue bike and red Ergon saddle on my red bike. Also they're very comfortable.
I'm only 5' 4" and 130-135 lb, but my backside is fairly wide and flat; not a lot of padding there. My sit bones are too far apart to tolerate the saddles that come on most major brands of bikes. (One exception was the WTB Pure saddle that came with my Priority Apollo gravel bike. Love it.) This Ergon SMC was my attempt to find something similar to the Pure, and bingo. It's even more comfortable, in that way where you completely forget about your saddle. Ladies, more padding is not more comfortable. If you can't find a seat that works for you on long rides, try one that's flatter and wider.
I am really impressed with this Ergon saddle.I fitted it and went straight out and tested it on a long XC ride.It is without doubt the most comfortable saddle I have ever used.You can tell it is a real quality product very well made.It also looks good and was very easy to fit.Excellent product I would certainly recommend it.
I like this one a bit more than my Fizik Aliante saddle. I needed a replacement after the bike tipped over and the saddle snapped in the center. Comfortable saddle, solid construction. It's a bit grippy which is ok depending on what you are riding with. Avoid anything that has a loose fit. You may find yourself trying to find placement in the saddle when you come off
