I got a splinter taking it out of the packaging.I can still use it because I wrapped the handle in tape.Would not buy again.

It does what it's supposed to opens letters really well
The image of the letter opener shows a stronger, thicker handle with a sturdy blade. The letter opener received has a thin blade and small unpolished handle I was hoping to have a letter opened like the picture as it looks like one that I previously owned. Would not recommend.
Just recieved this opener today,opened the packet and pulled it out.And straight away got a splinter from the handle.Also not the same colour as shown in picture( but it probably varies).Wish they had a wider variety. I guess it is just a letter opener though
I've had this letter opener over 10 years, it is still super sharp and the best one I've used. never ever had a splinter... maybe it's the newer stock?
Strong, sturdy & does the job.
