I am a fan of natural looking eyelashes and do not like crazy voluminous eyelashes unless in the evening. This mascara works perfect for me as an everyday mascara when I'm not wearing a lot of makeup. It separates my lashes and gives it a bit of length and volume without clumping it.The brush is plastic and easy to use. The formula is thin when you open new one but I feel it thickened over a period of time which made it heavy for my liking. But it still is one of my everyday favourite.I only use it on my upper eyelashes and it has not smudged ever. I do like the impact this mascara gives my thin lashes but you really need to clean off the wand on the stopper or better yet a tissue otherwise you’ll get way too much product on your lashes and it’ll be messy. It has a unique rubber bristles wand that makes the lashline look full. I do like it but gave it 3 stars because it’s not an easy process to apply, it takes time to clean the wand so I can’t just slap jt on and go. No smearing or flakes.

So the mascara itself is fine. It does help to comb out your lashes after applying as it can be a little clumpy. My main issue here is the brush. I HATE IT. So much mascara gets on the brush and that's likely why it applies clumpy. I don't think the product would apply so thickly and with clumps if it wasn't for the brush. I have to wipe off so much excess product near the rim or on a Kleenex because it's just too much to put on your lashes. I won't be buying this again because of that. The price is awesome and the mascara itself is very nice, but all that product on the brush is a 0/10 for me.

Had promise but was a flash in the pan

Great value & size. I like the wand brush. BUT, goes on a little clumpy. Good lengthening. My main issue for 2 stars is the wear!! I'm used to having some under eye smudge if I sleep in my mascara (prior brands like Lancome, Clinique, Maybeline & a really good cheapie I got from Wish) but I really don't expect to see that 1/2 day thru the day!!! It's not even hot summer yet. This literally does not last & completely wears off by mid-day. Will be tossing in the trash.

Had to give this a second chance to love it

I bought this mascara per TikTok rave, when I first bought it I noticed the formula was way more wet than what I had seen in the videos people were posting. Despite not liking wet mascara I decided to give it a go, I used it consistently as my everyday mascara for a bit and decided I did not like it at all, I felt like it only gave a little volume, no curl, length or separation. I put it away for a while and decided I wanted to try it again, the formula had dried a little bit but not to the point where it cannot be used. I don't get the hype

I have thin, straight, short lashes, so maybe this one isn't for me. I bought it because it's so well loved. However, the brush is massive (hard to maneuver around eye) and piles on so much product that has a wet formula, leaving my lashes thick and gloopy. It smudges by the end of the day, and makes my curled eyelashes droop. I tried to see it if it got better after drying out some, and it was a little better, but overall it's still a clumpy mess. I can't think of a single redeeming quality about this one. I'm so sad about it too because I know how much everyone loves it.

Makes My Lashes Look Like Falsies.

I got this on a whim as my favorite mascara from Chanel was getting expensive for me. There's also the waterproof version and I should have gotten that but no biggie. It doesn't give me spidery lashes like other mascaras I've tried in the past (e.g., Covergirl, Tarte, and Smashbox) but the way it curls my lashes without using an eyelash curler is ridiculously amazing! The brush is on the thicker side with small bristles. I would take off the excess before applying. Makes my lower lashes pretty too! I highly recommend it to anyone, especially if you are on a budget.

Not my favorite

I really do love essence mascaras and have only found two I don't really like. Sadly this is one of them. I bought this in stores and was so excited because the tube was pretty large so it would probably last longer. I'm just not a huge fan of silicone wands. I'm more of a bristle kind of person. So much came into my lashes at once it looked messy. I have pretty long eyelashes so I can usually just spread it upward and get length but it gave me a fake lashes look. I'm not opposed to fake lashes it's just not the look I go for on a day to day basis personally. Hoped this helped someone or that someone an relate.

The only mascara I'm buying

I was looking for a cheap mascara to use for days in between my expensive one which I only use when going out out. So I had read the reviews and got this one. OMG it's better than my tubing mascara! It literally has no cons from me. The formula is great, doesn't dry out, doesn't flake, is buildable, and separates. And the price!!!!! I am so glad I found this. I am only buying this from now on. And I've tried tons of high end and drug store brands

Will not purchase again

I purchased this in store. As a result I did not open the item beforehand. The wand is a silicone-type wand with teeny, tiny bristles. This is NOT my preferred type of wand. The formula is wet and gloopy. What a mess. I have pretty decent lashes but am always looking for more oomph. This did nothing to enhance what I have. I am very disappointed. I will likely toss this out long before it dries out. I cannot recommend this mascara.
