Tasty and handy. I bought this cheese recently while we were away. Had it over some gnocchi for a quick meal. It is a cheese that I have bought before and I love more than parmesan from the chiller section. This one is found on the shelf and only needs refrigeration after it has been opened. It is very tasty and adds to the flavour of any pasta dish. The texture is quite fine. Made in Australia from 98% Australian ingredients. Only $1. 80 for the 100 gram packet.

Cooking Parmesan. Following last weeks pasta salad date, Ms Giraffe invited Dr Bear to her apartment. She knew he enjoyed a pasta, so made another pasta dinner topped with some Parmesan. She grabbed this finely grated 100g packet of non refrigerated Parmesan cheese as it was only $1. 60, much cheaper than fresh refrigerated Parmesan which is approximately $3. 50 for a similar size. At first she thought this was a good buy. It used 98% Australian ingredients which she enjoyed, together with it proudly saying Australian Milk. Sadly the Dr was use to fresh & grated Parmesan cheese so he did not use much on his pasta. Ms G wished the bag had its own resealable zip at the top, as she had to search for a spare bag seal. Luckily the 100g bag can be stored in the pantry. ... MoreCooking Parmesan. Following last weeks pasta salad date, Ms Giraffe invited Dr Bear to her apartment. After the doctor mentioned kids she stopped listening and was day dreaming of calves / kids with Dr Bear… JOKE TIME American supermarkets are going to start selling Parmesan cheese in chunksTo make America grate again!

It ok for what it is. Ok, so this review is comparing my usual to this sampleWhen I was an apprentice, and on low wage, this was a product that We use to purchase for many reasons1. cheap - $1. 60 for 100g2. Didn’t have to keep it in the fridge til it was opened, so perfect for camping, stockpiling etc3. nice sized amount of product but now as I know more about stuff, we prefer a piece of Parmesan for true delicious flavour, the real thing as such compared to dehydrated, not much flavour cheese. The packaging is now a red colour and not like the above bunch picture- so I really had to look that I was getting the right product. It is redcyclable. We used it in our family favourite creamy pasta with bacon & mushrooms. sorry to say probably won’t be purchasing this product again. suggestions would be a resealable packaging and some how more a flavourThank you very much for the opportunity to sample this product ✨

Not so great & the name is misleading, but hey it's cheap! Honestly this cheese doesn't have much flavour at all, probably due to it being a shelf-stable product - I'm really not a fan of shelf-stable meat/fish/dairy products as they usually lose so much flavour and texture. I ordered this with my online order thinking that it was fresh grated cheese, considering what it says on the packet and there were no real details in the listing, but it's actually powdered cheese - definitely not what I'd call finely grated. Because of this, once you put it on a meal and things get mixed in a little, the little flavour it has gets completely lost unless you use quite a bit. I usually buy fresh cheese - either finely grated, shaved, or a block to grate myself. My kiddo enjoys ... MoreNot so great & the name is misleading, but hey it's cheap! My kiddo enjoys it and it's good value, so I may buy it again for her or as a last-resort backup to keep in the pantry, however I personally think there are much better (fresh) options.
Always on the list. This Parmesan cheese is something I buy regularly. We are once or twice a week pasta eaters. we usually sprinkle this on our spaghetti bolognese with a mix of Woolworths tasty grate cheese perfect! Cheesy flavoured goodness. At half the price of other brands it would be great for the shopping budget for families. I also sometimes add this to our spaghetti sauce to thicken the sauce and add flavour. I have also added it to my salads it works well. it has a nice flavour although the taste would nice if it was a bit stronger. Either way we will still buy it. My only suggestion would be a resealable bag ‍♀️Maybe
Salty Cheesy yesss please. Easy to locate on the shelf due to the colour of the package. Good price point $1. 60 for 100g. Budget friendly. Firstly I cannot get my head around cheese on the shelf and chicken in a tin etcParmesan is always on hand in our house grated fresh from the block. We had pasta last night and as an experiment I put grated block Parmesan on one half and this product on the other. You could certainly taste the difference. I found it be almost sweet with a bit of an aftertaste. Just didn’t have the depth of normal Parmesan. Having said that there is a big price difference between the 2. A small block is around $6 while this small bag was around $1. 50 from memory. It’s not something I would buy. If I couldn’t afford Parmesan I would probably go without
I love this cheese on Spaghetti Bolognese. Ever since I was a little girl I have loved spaghetti bolognese with Kraft Parmesan Cheese. yes the one in the pasta aisle, not the fridge aisle. So I was very excited to get this sampleThankyou BunchMy husband was going to the shops so I thought he would be able to get this sampleHe came home without it!! So I asked was it not available? He said he could not find, and he asked a staff member who also couldn't find it, and that staff member also asked another staff member who could not find it, so the verdict the store doesn't sell it. I asked did you look in the pasta aisle, you know, where I always buy the Kraft Grated Parmesan from? Fair enough so back we go and yes of course we found it in the pasta aisle, easy to see, but yes you probably understand why they all looked in the fridge aisle!!This is a lovely cheese. Tasteless. Essentials Parmesan Cheese 100gPrice: $1. 60Location: I first looked in the chilled section with other grated parmesan bags, but when I couldn't see it I realised it must be in the pasta aisle. Sure enough, it was next to the sealed jars of pasta sauces up on the top shelf. Was like getting a mouthful of salt and nothing else. If I hadn't known what I was eating, I would never have guessed it was parmesan cheese. Just to check I wasn't imagining things, I also then tasted some brand name parmesan that I had also bought.... and that was packed with flavour!Overall: Wouldn't buy again. It did not add any flavour to the dish I used it in. I definitely wouldn't use that much parmesan in 7 days either, so will end up probably throwing out the rest of the cheese.
Disappointing. I like a strong parmesan cheese topping. This means I normally roughly grate fresh parmesan over my pasta or salads. I actually spilt this cheese so there was about twice as much as I normally would eat but I didn't find that amount overpowering. This cheese is long life and mild to even bland. However being long life it would be handy to have in the pantry for emergencies. The low price is also in it's favour. If you like a milder cheese or if you have children this could be a good choice for you. Personally I wouldn't buy it again.
