I took the opportunity to try this polish because I was interested in the “quick dry” claims. Upon first application, you can tell this formula is different from regular polish. It’s very thick which can lead to a goopiness since it starts drying down immediately. This also makes it difficult to work with as you add coats, because it doesn’t always even out the way regular polish does. If you make a mistake or bump your nail, it can cause patchiness or texture when you go over with the next layer. The quick dry is relatively quick, sure, but it still takes about 15-20 minutes before you’re safe to start using it. The end result wasn’t pretty, and it was the first area to chip within 24 hours. My second try went better. Unfortunately the lavender (virtual velocity) color is much prettier in the bottle. The glitters in it don’t sparkle on the nail, but they do add an unpleasant texture. I wish the finish was shinier. I liked the rosy color (remote friends) better. Overall I like these polishes, and they’re good in a rush, but I would rather take the time for a regular polish that is less finicky.

I haven’t gotten any new nail polishes in awhile, so I was excited to grab these shades from the Essie Expressie Gamer Collection. I received cash back from Influenster and Essie for trying this product and sharing my honest review. I bought Virtual Velocity (a shimmery lavender shade) and Don’t Glitch Get Better (a deep shimmery fuchsia pink). Let me start with the things I was disappointed by… I loved the color of this polish initially, but the “shimmer” was more of a chunky silver glitter. It was reminiscent of those cheap nail polishes you’d get as a kid from the dollar store. Very “My First Nail Polish” vibes. Not my style personally, but if you love an obnoxiously chunky glitter that isn’t really integrated into the color of the polish, this color may be for ... MoreI haven’t gotten any new nail polishes in awhile, so I was excited to grab these shades from the Essie Expressie Gamer Collection. As for the drying time, it was only slightly faster than my usual polishes. So I wasn’t supremely impressed with that, even though that’s the main claim to fame for the Expressie polishes. Now, for the pros,… The consistency of this nail polish was perfect. Not too goopy or thick, but not watery thin either. It was easy to paint my nails with a light coat every time. More importantly, I absolutely LOVED the angled brush! It made getting a clean line on every nail effortless, whether I was using my dominant hand or not. I would buy many more Essie polishes if this was their standard brush shape!!! Overall, I wasn’t a fan of this collection but I would consider buying more Essie Expressie polishes if the angled brush became the expected brush shape for every bottle.

Smudge-proof nail polish that dries quickly. That is the simple ask of every lady who loves to paint her nails and toes at home. I am she and she is me. Unfortunately, the Essie Expressie quick dry nail polish did not check that box for me. 🥺 Excitedly, I tried out the colors Remote Friends (pictured here) and Don't Glitch, Get Better (a glittery fuschia) from the *New* Gamer collection, courtesy of @essie @influenster and @ultabeauty. I've always been a fan of @essie nail polish for their beautiful colors. So to add a quick dry component seemed like a no-brainer in my opinion. However, the combination was a miss for me. The Essie website specifies that the polishes are 8-free and vegan, bur fails to specify exactly how quickly we nail polish enthusiast should expect the nail polish to dry. With that being said I used my prior experience as a point of reference. My regular Essie polishes tend to take about 8-10 mins to be dry to the touch and about 20-25 mins to be completely dry. In comparison, the quick dry polish performed roughly with the same numbers. The simplest way I was able to get my nails to dry relatively quickly is by using a quick dry serum from another company. I will continue to use the polishes as I appreciate that they are 8-free and have an awesome application brush. I just won't expect my nails to dry any faster. I would like to thank @essie @ultabeauty and @influenster for the opportunity to try these polishes and share my honest opinion. #expressiegamer #contest @Influenster @UltaBeauty @essie

I enjoy it for what it is, quick dry color for those times that you don't have an hour or more to dedicate to a manicure. I love that it's what I would consider a mid-tone brown, with a hint of kind of a reddish undertone. It's like a cup of hot chocolate to me which I love. Perfect for fall and I love the way that it goes on my neutral tone skin. When they say quick dry, they're really not kidding. It dried super quick. I like the way it looks with two coats. I started with a base coat, two coats of polish and then I topped it off with a clear coat. Decently priced, as it is an Essie nail polish, so you know you're going to be paying in the 7 to 10 dollar price range. But it's worth it to me and I know that I'll be using it all fall. I definitely recommend it.

I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it. I got it bc it’s pastel-y kind of like bikini so teeny 💜💜 but in a diff purple shade. It’s not purple, it’s not blue, it’s not gray. It’s a very different color and the bits of glitter 🥰🥰 BUT super clumpy. Also I used a clear gel top coat it completely chaged the color, w/ the top coat it looks more like a blue grey idk how to describe it but nothing like it should look like. I love this for my toes atm tbh. I love that it dries quick so I can rush thru a color change on my own and finish getting ready put on make up + do my hair while letting this dry. Bc it clumps I’ll keep for my toes only andddd skip the top coat, super cute +’does dry fast AF but not a fav 💔

Regarding the application, the new thick and slightly angled brush really allows a much easier and precise application, particularly when using your non-dominant hand. As for the coverage, deep hues allow a single coat but for medium and light shades you definitely need to apply two coats. In any case, ESSIE recommends applying two coats with all shades to get a more long lasting result. The formula is creamy and consistent and allows easy application in just a couple of strokes. ESSIE Expressie provides one-step color and shine without needing to apply top coat. Relating the fast drying claim, ESSIE Expressie really dries faster than regular nail polish and you get a dry manicure in about five minutes, but not in one minute as ESSIE claims. Regarding the lasting power, you get a flawless manicure for about four or five days. To prolong wear you need to apply top coat. Easy application, fast drying and shine and color in just one step, if you like painting your nails in a hassle-free mode, ESSIE Expressie is for you.

This was sent to me as a #freeproduct from Topbox Circle to review, but note my reviews are honest unbiased opinions of the product (Not trying to have people wasting their hard earned coins). On to 'All Things OOO' a gorgeous 'neutral' version of coral. It's a soft pale coral or a pastel peach shade that is universally delicious on any skintone. I think it's a shade that would satisfy anyone that likes neutrals, but wants a 'lil' something different, and/or for those that want a subdued version of coral. This is a sexy, soft, and classy summer shade.I put it to the test by not using a base or top coat. I wanted to see the polish perform all on it's own. It's thicker than regular Essie polish, and as such it took only two coats for a perfect nail. 'Expressie' is an accurate name for this because it dries FAST like 15-20 seconds fast. I personally love how fast it dries, because I am notorious for ruining my toes after a fresh application. However, I do see people with long nails or large nail beds having issue with application due to the speed it dries - you have to work fast! I recommend limiting exposing the bottle to the air as I suspect these polishes will turn into a thick gloopy tar if aired out too much. It has an awesome glossy finish (not high gloss) so I'm thinking a topcoat is built in. As for longevity and durability, it lasted two weeks on my toes with no issues, and on my hands just under two weeks before I got a chip and signs of fading on the top edge of my nails. Is it a 'must buy'? I would say so! This particular shade is definitely now my 'thing'. Go try it out.

BEAUTIFUL COLOUR

I would love to thank #topbox #topboxcircle #freeproduct #honestreview #honestfeedback #productfreeforhonestreview. So for someone who loves to do her own nails pretty frequently I was super happy and excited to get this new Essie Nail Polish in this bright orange shade!! I love the gorgeous bright shade and just how easy it was to apply. I love the wider bristled brush that gives you a 2 swipe application. I would recommend 2coats with a glossy top coat. It was pretty quick to dry. Just wait till your first coat is completely dry before applying your second coat. Love the formula and was very happy to add her to my collection!! Thank you TOOBOX!!!!

Fast-drying but requires multiple coats

Disclaimer: I received Essie's expressie quick-dry nail polish in the busy bee color from Topbox for free in exchange for a honest review. #freeproduct #trywithtopboxThe busy bee color does not match my Asian skin tone (although I do have relatively fair skin color), it actually made my skin looks darker. Although the color does not complement my skin, I do like the fact that this nail polish is fast-drying; it dries within a few minutes which is convenient as you don't have to wait a long time and be scared to smudge your newly applied nail polish coat.I applied it to my toe nails (requires 2-3 coats or else it is streaky) and went to the beach. However, with a top coat, it will definitely last longer. The brush made the application a lot easier however, my nails are not that big, so it was hard to apply it without touching the skin around the nail. As for the smell, I believe it has the same nail polish smell as all the other brands (regular Essie line, O.P.I, etc.).I would definitely recommend Essie's expressie quick-dry nail polish for the price and quality.

Perfect summer shade!

🎵 It's just another #maniMonday🎵 Actually it's my first manicure Monday!! Thank you @essie and @Topbox for sending me Expressie in shade #145 , Bearer of Rad News- so fun for summer!!This was my first time trying Essie and I am extremely impressed. It's quick dry in about a minute meaning I can do right before bed and it's not wrecked in the morning. I was also impressed with my application because normally I 'colour outside the lines' lol. But it wasn't me- it's their first ever angled brush that makes applying with your non-dominant hand a breeze. It also has amazing staying power- one coat lasted over 10 days. This vegan formula is made without formaldehyde, toluene and a bunch of other chemicals or animal derived ingredients. My only very small complaint is that you need 2-3 coats or you can see through to your nails but since it's quick dry, it's not really a big deal. New Essie fan here!!**received in exchange for my honest opinion
