Best nail polish ever

I am typically not the one to paint my own nails because they always come out streaky and uneven. I am shocked at how well this polish works. It took me two coats for it to look completely solid and covered. On top of that, it looks just as perfect as a gel manicure would be if you went to the nail salon. This polish also dries slightly faster than a traditional polish. One recommendation I have is to clean up the excess polish on your skin as quick as you can as it is a little more difficult to remove with nail polish remover when it dries. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this product. The color I am wearing is called first fitting, and it is the perfect white color.

Found my perfect signature red color!

Just a tip: definitely use the top coat that is in this line. I noticed the color did seem a bit tacky but the top coat which I use for all my polish no matter what brand— dries pretty fast and smooth even tho it seems thick. Might be a no brainer but I feel like the color polish will only pair nicely with the top coat in the same elf gel line! I used to only buy the top coat cause it worked so good, but I could not resist this perfect red (BUBBLES ONLY) very luxurious classic red.. I own like 20 red nail polishes and this one is the best! Gorgeous color, long lasting, and dries fast!

I'm obsessed with this gel nail polish from Essie, it's absolutely amazing. I chose the polish first view and I love the color. It's a pretty light blue with the perfect amount of shimmer. I like that this nail polish goes on thick and really only one coat is needed, which is a huge plus. It dries quickly too and I've been wearing this polish for days and had no chipping at all. No matter what I do, the polish stays in place and looks amazing each day. This shade is going to be great to wear during the Winter season, but I love that it's a color I can wear any other time as well. It's beautiful and definitely a new favorite of mine. Essie gel polish is long lasting and high quality. Will be getting more colors very soon from this collection.

After drying, my left hand had semi-sheer paint (this made the colour look like the pinkish taupe on the website), while my right hand had opaque paint (purplish taupe). The polish was glossy enough to make me skip putting a top coat.The polish lasted for over a week, but the polish on the sides of my nails chipped away within 3-4 days of applying the polish. That said, this only happened to the nails of fingers I use the most; the polish on my ring fingers and pinkies remained completely intact (I'm still waiting for them to show signs of wear). Even while chipping/wearing away, the polish remained perfectly smooth and pearly on my nails.I'm sure that, if I did a better job of applying the polish and used a top coat, the polish would easily last much longer.

Absolutely love Essie Gel polishes! I own several colors of this and they are all great. Although it says you don’t need to use a base coat I still use Essie’s stay strong base coat to avoid any nail staining and for general strengthening. I’ll use that or Sally Hansens Maximum Growth as my base and both work great with this polish. It always dries quickly and lasts so long!! All you need are 2 coats max and the gel top coat. I have other polishes with glitter and it’s a very noticeable difference when I use the gel top coat it looks great!! All in all I absolutely love this and highly recommend!! Can’t wait for more colors to come out!

Of Corset - classy & subtle

I absolutely adore this nail polish colour "Of Corset"- it is classy and subtle. It is a good neutral nude with a slight pink tone which nearly matches my skintone. Two to three coats will do depending on how thin or thick you paint it on. 1 coat is not enough and will be too sheer and maybe blotchy. I didn't use a clear top coat to see how long it would last and it's been over 2 weeks so I'm impressed with its longevity; it's only grown out with my nails and hasn't chipped or flaked. I dries smooth and fairly shiny but a top coat would make it even shinier. The actual bottle AND the nail polish wand is a weird twisted shape - the bottle is a thick glass that looks like it was twisted while hot to get the parallelogram shape. I have Sheer Fantasy and Fairy Tailor in the gel line, and love both; but Fairy Tailor is more peach and opaque than this shade. Sheer Fantasy is a truly sheer polish (no shimmer) with a “your nails but better” look that’s absolutely perfect for everyday wear. It looks great on long nails in particular. One coat is barely visible, but two coats is enough to give the impression of a very lightly pink French manicure (but it’s not opaque enough to hide stains or imperfections in the nail, so be aware). It’s such a classic look, perfect for a Grace Kelly style outfit. If you don’t need color with your outfit, and just want to look like you were born with perfect nails, this is your shade.
