Essteele brand - will definitely be my favourite brand now! Well balanced, handle does not get hot, easy to clean, dishwasher safe, oven friendly. Lid fits well but due to rounded handle, cannot sit straight when upturned. Cannot find any other faults for this good looking and functional saucepan!

Bought a few Esteele cookware in the past and always happy with the quality. This time bought the saucepan during Boxing Day sale. It is a good size to cook small portion of meals for two people.

Whilst not cheap Esteele saucepans last for decades, I purchased this 18cm one to complement the smaller ones from Esteele that I’ve been using for over 30 years and are still in perfect condition.

What I particularly like about the Per Sempre range is that they come with a stainless steel lid (I'm not a fan of glass lids) and the handles are totally enclosed (in other words, they can't gather water which inevitably spills out on the floor when you tip them after washing). Because of their quality construction, these pans are heavier than cheaper brands, which could prove problematic for some people. Although they recommend hand washing only, these pans are dishwasher safe and, in my experience, still last many years despite going through the dishwasher. This saucepan is a bit deeper and heavier than I had expected. As the handle is a little high it can be difficult to lift and pour. Even so, I love it. It is a quality heavy base saucepan. It heats quickly and evenly. It’s a saucepan you’ll have for a very long time.
Love this. Fast to heat up, easy to clean, lit fits easily, comfortable handle. I've put it in the dishwasher and it's always come clean, no problems with discolouring or any other issues
Aluminium core erodes in dishwasher, leaving sharp edges of the stainless steel cladding all along the top edge perimeter. The edges are like knives. You can cut your skin on them.
The handle on the lid gets extremely hot, need silicone mit so you dont get severely burnt. Hard to clean if you scorch the rice. Hard to clean.
